Well with this 13 November 18 update my Custom Content and Script MODs have completely disappeared from the game. Please help, any advice would help. Is anyone else having this problem.
Go to game options and tick the " enable custom content and mods" button which is found in :
Game Options | Other | Enable Custom Content and Mods. Also tick the script mods allowed button.
Exit the game. Then go back into the game again and see if the cc appears then.
I know that the game patch today made some changes that require Script Mods to update.
If I have an old Script Mod that likely will never be updated, but other Script Mods that are already updated, what should I do?
Is it safe (or safer) to play the game with the old Script Mod still in the Mods folder?
Or is it safe (or safer) to simply remove that Script Mod outright?
Which will have less impact on the game/stability of the save file?
(For what it's worth, the mod in question is one that adds some supernatural magic and a new skill—I only have one Sim in my save file who I've tested this with, and I don't mind not being able to use it further, but I don't want to break the game.)
Please advise best way to handle. I'm afraid to patch the game until I know what to do.

Hello @SilentSpy0
It would be best to remove that mod. It could cause issues if it remains there, as it is an old/broken script mod.

I had to find a way to fix it myself, and I've learned that running your Sims 4 on 32 bit causes crashes, and doesn't allow you to have script mods. So what I did, being my computer was in 32 bit mode, I reinstalled windows to 64 bit system. And I could now get script mods, and my game stopped crashing. So if you're having that problem you could either switch your game to 32 bit if you're 64 bit, or if your computer is in 32 bit, you could reinstall windows for 64 bit. That should maybe help if nothing else is working, because I know I searched everywhere for a fix including here and found little help. Sims 4 isn't a 8 gig ram. I run it on 4 gigs of ram perfectly fine. About it being only 32 bit, I think that might also be false. Because I was running it on 32 bit fine also. It just disabled script mods.

So my script mods don’t work and I have updated them to the most recent patchdo you have any solutions and custom content works perfectly fine
Hello @WildflowerMali
Try going to game options and check that the setting to enable script mods is enabled.
With script mods, they can’t be more than one folder level down in your mods folder. You need to place the script mods either directly into the mods folder, or only in one level/folder in the mods folder.
For example, with the MCCC mod you can have
Documents-Electronic Arts -Sims 4 -mods-MCCC
But you can’t have Documents-Electronic Arts -Sims 4 -mods- Script mods- MCCC
Try checking that your script mods are not more than one level down in your mods folder.
Yes script mods are enabled and it is in one folder
Hello @WildflowerMali I am sorry that you are having these issues.
Try checking that your game is uptodate with the latest patch.
Try also moving your whole mods folder to the desktop. Launch the game, and a new mods folder will be generated in the sims 4 folder.. Exit the game. Then put your mods/cc from the old mods folder into the newly generated mods folder and test to see if the issues remain. Make sure that there is only one resource.cfg file in the folder.
hello! my script mods are also NOT working either. i have downloaded a few, and have had them for a while. they are on my cc list with script mods, but when i click on my character, unfortunately, nothing shows up, like poses, mc command center, whicked whims (don't have it but it's an example) etc. i have two computers, and on one computer it works, all my scripts and etc, yet on my other it doesn't work. help!!

@rosemow
hello. yes, both of those things are good. any other ideas?
Hello @fifihigg
Are you still having this issue after today’s patch, after reenabling the cc and script mods setting?
If you are, try moving your whole mods folder to the desktop. Launch the game, and a new mods folder will be generated in the sims 4 folder.. Exit the game. Then put your mods/cc from the old mods folder into the newly generated mods folder and test to see if the issues remain. Make sure that there is only one resource.cfg file in the folder
Um if anyone sees this i am also having problems since the December 18th patch. I have done everything i have even deleted all my cc and script mods and got new ones but even then my game just crashes when it goes into loading screen for playing in a lot. I have tried what roseow said to do which is to moved them into a new mods flder after opening the game but it still didnt work. This has happened to me before but i couldnt get it to work so i didnt play the game for like a month and a half before i tried again and it worked but the game works fine without the mods and cc im pretty sure its the script mods though. If anyone can help me, please do and as fast as you can if you dont mind ;)

Hello @Simmer_Mary
It sounds like you have broken cc/mods.
Try moving your whole mods folder to the desktop. Delete the cache files https://sims4.crinrict.com/en/2014/09/delete-cache-files/
Then start the game and test to see if that helps the issues. If it does help, then put your mods/CC back into the newly generated mods folder in the sims 4 folder one by one or in batches and testing the game after each one to see which is the cause of the problem. Put one item or batch in , test the game , take it out. Then test another one, to find the cause of the issue.
Do you use One Drive? @fifihigg If you do it could be causing this issue, Try seeing if there is a mods folder in One Drive . The game may be using that mods folder instead of the one in Documents -Electronic Arts -sims 4 folder . One Drive can cause issues,
If you don’t use One Drive, try using the search bar on your computer , and search to see if there may be another mods folder on your computer that the game is using instead of the one directly in the sims 4 folder.
Sorry to put this here, but as a new member still, I can’t make new posts. Anyone know why when I use custom CAS backgrounds they all look pixelated as heck? :(

Hello @NetteBoo
There is a feature that when there is a game update, mods/cc are disabled. This link explains about it,
http://help.ea.com/article/mods-and-the-sims-4-game-updates
Go to game options and tick the " enable custom content and mods" button which is found in :
Game Options | Other | Enable Custom Content and Mods. Also tick the script mods allowed button.
Exit the game. Then go back into the game again and see if the cc appears then.

Removing the mod won’t break the gameplay. You just won’t be able to have the new skill that came with the mod.
