Rafe awakens and hears retching sounds coming from down the hall and heads that way to check on Autumn. "I'm ok, probably from all the teleporting that we did. I feel fine now." and she proves it by enticing Rafe to join her in the shower.
While waiting for Autumn to finish dressing Rafe checks out some of Autumn's photo's hanging on the wall. He is amazed at the first two photos. It looks like she was present and took photos of Alice and Adam's joining. Autumn calls out to him, "I'm still not ready, go on up and I will be there in about fifteen minutes."
Rafe teleports into the kitchen and grabs a plasma juice out of the fridge. He sits at the table and is joined by Gardenia who had just finished breakfast and tells him "I will keep you company." Rafe is delighted to get to know Gardenia as he knows how much Autumn loves her sister-in-law. They chat about the family, her background as a light witch, how he ended up in Barnacle Bay. She asks about his family and he replies "Autumn is my family now, and by our joining I am honored to have your family as mine." She senses this is a sore subject and chooses not to question him further at this time.
(if you notice a bit of difference in my pictures after this it is because I got frustrated with the tiny EA/Maxis rooms and finally spent a couple of hours widening most of the rooms in the manor. I still plan to widen the kitchen at least by one tile, it did get lengthened by one tile with the changes I made, but I would like it one wider at least. The door in the dining room was in the way of one of the chairs and just was bugging the whosit out of me)
Autumn joins them finishing her plasma juice just as Victor arrives with his plasma juice and sits at the table. They continue with the getting to know you conversation. Rafe answering the questions and asking a few of his own. Victor asks his age and who his sire was. Rafe looks at Autumn with sorrow. "I'm older than dirt. I don't have a sire. I was born a vampire to Master Tarquin of Moorhall in the year 1242. That family has been gone for many centuries and not missed by anyone including me. I hope you will not hold it against me. I fear I must be truthful with you now, rather than have you dig up the information later."
Victor is astounded. He had not realized that anyone from that family of nefarious vampires survived the early hunts. "How did you survive? The purge was well planned with all the clan in attendance for feast days. I studied the history in the records and the purge was reported as complete."
Rafe laughs. "I always did have luck on my side. I hated the moors, my father, my mother, well everyone to be honest. They were a cruel lot, vindictive with no redeeming values whatsoever. I certainly did not take after either one of them. I often wondered if my mother was unfaithful to him. As soon as I was old enough I grabbed a bag, stole a weapon from the armory, coin from the strongbox and a horse from the stables. I knew with all the commotion of the clan arriving it could be days before I was missed. At least I hoped so. The purge happened the next night so I was long gone and actually did not hear about it for several months. I headed to the nearest port as I was fascinated with the stories I had read about life at sea. I found a captain of a privateer who was a were and did not have a preconceived hatred of vampires. He hired me as a cabin boy and I rose in rank as I became more experienced. I eventually had enough coin to purchase my own commission and ship. Rafeal of Moorhall died that day, Rafe Sinclair was born."
As Rafe finishes his tale, Autumn suddenly stands up, holds her mouth and is making those retching noises again. She runs to the nearest bathroom at top vampire speed. Rafe starts to go after her, and Gardenia tells him "I will go, you wait here."
Rafe tells Gardenia, "this is the second time today, something is wrong, this is not from teleporting."
Gardenia replies, "No, this is probably not from teleporting. Victor, please keep him busy for awhile."
Rafe looks at Victor and asks him to help. "Does she have something I should know about?"
Victor doesn't look too concerned. He has a feeling as the father of six that he knows what is going on, and reassures him "You will know soon enough. I am sure it is a woman thing."
Victor looks at Rafe and makes a decision. "I've always been a good judge of character and you have been a leading citizen for centuries without a blemish to your name. I'm not a member of the council anymore, so as far as I'm concerned this information is between us, and no ones business but ours. I see the love you have for Autumn in your face when you look at her. I trust that love. Welcome to the family. Now, lets get out of the way and let Gardenia take care of Autumn. I'll show you my archery range I set up for training Adam."
Autumn made it to the bathroom just in time. Gardenia knocked and came in to check on her. Autumn had washed her face and brushed her teeth and still felt queasy. "I guess I need to stop teleporting for a bit and let my cells settle down."
Gardenia just looked at Autumn. "Honey, think about the timing. What have you and Rafe been doing probably pretty much non stop since you met. Can you guarantee that you were careful each and every time? Think about it."
Autumn looks down and pats her tummy, "oh, I never thought of that. When will I know for sure?"
"Probably by this evening" Gardenia guesses."Lets go drink some tea and see if that will settle your tummy down for a bit." mh 1
Rafe and Victor had several good matches at the archery range. They are evenly balanced in ability, strength and training and they enjoyed the friendly competition very much. They head over to the side yard where Gardenia is grilling burgers for the kids and salmon steaks for the adults. Victor introduces Rafe to his daughter Alice and to his ward Adam who is joined with Alice. Victor talks with Adam about his athletic progress and decides to add some weight training to his program to work on his muscle strength. Rafe gets to know Alice and tells her his favorite flavor of blood.
Autumn goes to the nursery to peek at the babies and then seeing they are awake plays with Lucas and Lexi before heading to the yard. She had just put Lexi back in her basket when she suddenly got nauseated again. I sure hope this stops soon she thinks to herself. I don't remember Gardenia getting this sick when she was pregnant.
Heading out to the yard and Autumn notices the kids are already eating. She is surprisingly hungry considering how nauseated she has been all day. She gives Alice a big hug. She gets her notice while talking with Alice. She is excited to have Gardenia's prediction come true and see's that Rafe is talking with Adam so she will tell him after they eat. After dinner, she tells Rafe she wants to introduce him to the babies. They head to the nursery and she introduces him to Lucas and Lexi. They each pick up a baby and play with them, snuggle them and place them in their cribs. "Lets go to our room, I need to tell you something." mh 21
Rafe enters their room, turns and asks her "are you ok? I've been worried about you all day." Autumn nods, "I'm fine, the reason I've been feeling so sick, well, you see, I'm pregnant! You are going to be a Dad! I'm going to be a Mom!"
Rafe is stunned and happy and his face shows it. He reaches out and gives her a passionate kiss. "I wanted this to happen and I'm so excited and am really happy about this. Are you okay with this" he asks worriedly.
"I am very happy about this. I know we didn't really talk about having kids, but I'm very excited about having your baby. I hope the sick part is mostly over now though."
Rafe gives her an amazing massage and then takes her hand and says "lets go find Victor and Gardenia and tell them. Do you think they knew. Victor told me it was a woman thing, but, it didn't dawn on me what he meant."
"Gardenia told me she was pretty sure I was pregnant. I wanted to wait until I was sure before I told you."
They find Victor and Gardenia enjoying the moonlight and share the news with them. Rafe tells Gardenia how much he enjoyed visiting with Lucas and Lexi and playing with them and how he is excited to hold his own child. Autumn is yawning and Gardenia tells her to go rest. "I'll walk down with you as I need to check on the babies."
Rafe stays behind wanting to talk with Victor. They walk across the yard and Rafe nervously remarks "Autumn told me what happened to her, how she and you became Vampires and what happened to the rest of your family. I am so very sorry about what happened to you and Autumn and to them. I'm beyond happy that she has accepted me as she did. I was afraid she might not, but, the fates were good to us. I promise that I will do all I can for the rest of my life to keep Autumn happy and those horrible memories at bay. I've asked her to marry me and she said yes. You are her only male relative. I want to ask you for your blessing on our marriage."
Victor smiles, "I give my blessing to your marriage and am pleased that you asked. You will be good for her. She is so serious most of the time, despite her fashion sense being so frivolous. I can see that she is more lighthearted around you."
"Do you think we can arrange a wedding for later today? I want to be married before the babe comes. I'm sure I can convince Autumn not to wait."
"I don't see why not. I'll let Gardenia know and she will probably have lists of things of things for us to do in preparation."
The next morning Autumn asked Rafe to go with her to the local library to check out some baby books. "I've only played with the babies when I visited. I've never really taken care of them. I want to make sure we know what to do. Do you know anything about babies?"
Rafe looks at Autumn and shakes his head. "Not much, I'm like you, I've played with them, but usually hand them back to the parents when they need things."
They sit and read the books and Autumn's back starts hurting from the uncomfortable chair. Rafe massages her which eases it up a bit. He suggests they go to the gym and use the massage table there. Autumn enjoys the massage and feels so relaxed. "You have a magic touch." she tells Rafe. "I trained with the best and am glad I can give you some relief. We will have to get one of these tables for the house."
Rafe receives a text from Gardenia telling him all is in readiness for the wedding tonight at sunset. "Lets get you back to the house so you can have a nap before the ceremony."
Autumn pats the bed and tells Rafe he has to take a nap too. He gets on the bed and cuddles with her and one thing leads to another and another. They both look very satisfied and they did eventually take a nap.
After waking from her nap, Autumn shakes Rafe awake, "My belly is growing. Look at me! They baby must be growing bigger." Rafe feels her belly, grinning up at her. "I think we must have a boy, a big boy in there." He talks to the baby and then listens to see if he can hear anything.
Gardenia, Alice and Jillian arrive to help get Autumn all dressed up for the wedding. They shoo Rafe out and tell him to get ready too. Gardenia has some sexy new lingerie for Autumn to wear under her dress. Dresses were limited because of the pregnancy, but, they found something that showed off her pretty figure and cute baby bump. Alice swept Autumns' hair into a loose bun leaving a few strands around her face to soften the look. Gardenia brought her jewelry box out and added the finishing touches with earrings and a diamond necklace. Autumn looks in the mirror and loves what she sees. She hugs and thanks everyone for helping.
Rafe changes into his formal wear and heads upstairs. He finds Victor and Adam over at the outdoor bar. Victor tells him the cake is on the way and will be set up here by the staff while the wedding is in progress. Rafe shakes his hand, "I really appreciate you and Gardenia arranging this for us." Josef and Dylan arrive dressed in their formal outfits. Gardenia sends a text to Victor telling him to get everyone to the arch and Victor is to wait to walk Autumn up.
Victor looks at Autumn and tells her how beautiful she is. "I'm so happy this day has come for you. My hope is you will be as happy as Gardenia and I are." Autumn gives Victor a big hug, "Don't you dare make me cry or my mascara will run black streaks down my face."
The sun is setting and the wedding march plays. Victor walks his beautiful sister to the arch where she will officially join with Rafe as a married couple. Rafe's heartbeat speeds up as he watches his treasured lifemate walk to the arch. He thanks the fates for finally bring her to him. Victor hugs Autumn once more realizing how sad and happy he can be at the same time. Rafe will now be his sister's protector. He must let her go. He thinks ahead knowing how hard it will be to let his daughters go when the time comes for them. Autumn has eyes only for Rafe. She has fully accepted this joining and is ready for her new life.
Rafe takes her hands and they walk together under the arch. The sky darkens as the sun sets and a rosy glow covers the land. He whispers, "You are so beautiful. I love you so very much." She smiles happily and whispers back, "I love you Rafe."
They say their vows and exchange rings. They become husband and wife and kiss for the first time as husband and wife.
Rafe is not done kissing his bride and spins her giving her a loving dip kiss. The family cheer and throw rice at them.
Rafe and Autumn lead the family to the other side of the yard for the cake cutting. For such short notice the bakery did an awesome job on the cake. Rafe hesitates to cut into it, but, finally cuts a big slice and hands it to Autumn. He slices one for himself and then follows Autumn to the table. He tells the others to help themselves and they follow suit cutting slices and head to the tables to eat.
Even though there is room at the table Gardenia sits with her kids at the mushroom table. Dylan wants to know "Is he really a pirate? Does he have a ship and a cutlass and cannons. Can we go visit them on vacation and see his ship and the pirate island?" The other two kids are a little older, but, they watch and listen intently for her answer. "Perhaps before they leave for Barnacle Bay Rafe will tell you about some of his adventures and his life on the island. Yes, we will visit them just as they will visit us here."
They finish their cake and Rafe and Autumn pass out more hugs and thanks and head to Victor and Gardenia's private grotto. Victor has given them the keys so it will stay private for them to spend their first married night together.
Rafe and Autumn kiss passionately after arriving in the grotto. When they come up for a breath, Autumn admires her ring and Rafe loves his first impressions of the grotto. "Perhaps we can do some excavations under the manor."
They decide to check out the hot tub first and since privacy is assured by the locks and spells they remove their clothing and jump in to enjoy the hot tub while skinny dipping. They cuddle and kiss and things get very warm indeed.
Climbing out of the hot tub they decide a nice cup of tea would be refreshing. Rafe quickly redresses while Autumn strolls over to the tea table to have her tea naked as the day she was born. She giggles and teases Rafe, "You are just a bit overdressed." Rafe teases back, "You are just a bit under dressed, but I don't mind at all."
Creator decides to put Autumn and Rafe in their comfy PJ's to lounge around in while they enjoy their tea.
The children are allowed to stay up late and are playing in the play yard with new toys that Rafe and Autumn brought from Barnacle Bay. (found by creator while roaming cc sites, I love the cc dollhouse cemetery for this save in particular) Alice and Adam are watching TV while relaxing on his bed, hoping Victor is distracted and won't catch them. Victor and Gardenia are playing with the babies who got a little lonely during the wedding festivities. They are fed and changed and rocked and ready to go in their cribs for the night. (sorry, forgot picture)
Rafe and Autumn check out the rest of the grotto and enjoy the bed. They snuggle together sleep for a few hours, awaken and enjoy each til they fall asleep again. Rafe fixes them both a refreshing drink the boosts their energy and thirst. Rafe asks questions about the coming baby. "Do you want a boy or girl? What about names, what are we going to name the baby?
"If it is a boy do you want it to be a Rafe, junior? If not, I'd like to name the baby after my father if it is a boy, my mother if it is a girl."
"I don't want a junior. I want my son to be his own man. I love the idea of naming them after your parents though."
Autumn complains of her lower back again. "It feels like the baby is trying to come through my back."
Rafe gives her a massage that does not help this time.
Autumn clutches her belly as another contraction grips her. She starts breathing the slow controlled breathing that she read about in the baby books. Rafe is wringing his hands and asking "what do I do, what do I do." It seems as if all he read in the books has flown out of his head. The contractions get stronger and come much faster, and Rafe starts coaching her with her breathing and massages her back in between contractions. With one last contraction baby Will is born, named after her father William. He looks like he has his Dad's dark hair and dark skin. (I peeked and he is going to be one handsome guy) He is artistic from Mom and brave from Dad. Autumn snuggles her new babe and then hands him to Rafe so he can start bonding with the baby. When he starts rooting around looking for food Rafe hands him back to Autumn so she can feed him as he is very hungry and sleepy after his birth. "You rest in the rocker with Will for a bit and I will go tell everyone."
Rafe finds Victor at the bar where he is trying to master his mixolgy skill. He quickly tells him about the birth of his son and they named him Will. Victor is pleased with the name and that Autumn and baby are doing well. "She will be up after feeding the baby and resting for a few."
He finds Gardenia in the back where she had been painting. Gardenia is very happy. "Just the one baby then, you know twins run in the Ballan family."
Rafe gulps and tells her "we will leave twins to you and Victor."
Gardenia laughs happily "It gets easier and easier each time though. I wonder if you would chat with Dylan. He is all enthralled about your history as a privateer and has lots of questions for you."
"I would love to chat with him." The kids had been running in the yard playing tag and quickly came when Rafe called "ahoy me mateys, come along and hear some tales of wonder and plunder."
Rafe chatted with Dylan and answered his many questions. The other kids were close by and listening avidly. It got darker and he loved telling tall tales so took out his flashlight and gathered everyone including the adults and teens to listen to his tales. He told a tale of sea monsters that attacked the ship and the brave pirates fighting the monsters not wanting to become food for the fishes or end up in Davy Jones Locker. The pirates were too much for the monsters and the monsters soon ended up at the bottom of the sea. Autumn and Will arrive as the story ends and everyone crowds around to see baby Will. It is late and school is tomorrow so everyone heads off to bed.
Autumn puts the baby in his basket and Rafe gives her a hungry kiss. They hold hands after loving and fall asleep spooned together both very happy with what the Fates brought into their lives.
Rafe wakes up early hearing Will stir in his basket. He quickly picks him up and plays with him, snuggling him close to keep him from crying and waking Autumn. He looks at Will and is amazed and excited about having this child in his life. He never thought he would be this lucky. Rafe rocks him enjoying the quiet time bonding with his son.
Autumn is showered and ready for the day refreshed after a long sleep. She plays and feeds Will while Rafe gets ready. As much as they love the grotto they both want to get out for a bit. Gardenia will be home to keep an eye on Will as she watches her two babes.
They are ready to head out, but have to pause to check out those wedding bands and sigh happily. First stop is the gallery. Autumn wants to show off her paintings to Rafe, as well as make sure everything is in order. Gardenia will be overseeing the gallery for her in Midnight Hollow. She may open a small one in Barnacle Bay in the future. After showing off her paintings they head over to the gym to get a bit of exercise. They run the jogging track outside and Rafe enjoys the view as he follows Autumn jogging in her tight track suit. Rafe and Autumn jog several miles and head inside for showers and change clothes. Back outside Rafe flirts with her and as he is reaching in for a kiss the phone goes off. It is Alice and Adam inviting them for bowling.
Adam and Alice finished their meal and headed down into the basement bowling alley. Alice had invited Rafe and Autumn to bowl a few games with them. Autumn and Rafe teleported in just as they arrived downstairs. They had a great time bowling together, getting to know Rafe better and Autumn invited them both to Barnacle Bay when school lets out and before they start university. Rafe and Autumn teleport back to the house. Adam and Alice drive back in her van stopping outside the house for a few kisses before heading in.
The next day was spent getting ready to move to Barnacle Bay. Rafe and Autumn packed up her belongings to ship out. Before they knew it the kids were home from school and it was time to say goodbye. Everyone came out front to wave goodbye as they left. Victor arranged for a friend to take a photo of the family before Rafe, Autumn and Will left. The last hugs and good wishes were passed out and Rafe, Autumn and Will climbed into the taxi to start the journey to begin their new life together in Barnacle Bay.
Rafe, Autumn and Will arrive home in Barnacle Bay early the next morning. They are tired after traveling all night. Not so tired that Rafe doesn't put Will in his travel basket and take Autumn in his loving arms and kiss her soundly. He picks her up and carries her over the threshold, "Welcome home Mrs Sinclair." He gives her a long loving kiss and heads back outside to bring Will in. Autumn feeds the baby as they talk about what needs to be done in the house. Some of Autumns' furniture that had been in storage has been moved in by Rafe's employees. Suddenly a loud, frantic knocking was heard at the front door. With their vampire senses they both hear a cry "oh, someone please be home, please help me."
Rafe and Autumn rush to the door and what a sight standing before them. A young woman in obvious distress is begging for their help. "I just escaped from this mad man who captured me, knocked me out, dressed me in these awful clothes, painted my face and had me locked in a room. When I came to, I was able to escape because he did not know I was a fairy as I have no wings in human form. It took me awhile to transform as the knock on my head left me weakened. I finally was able to fly under the door and escape through the back of the house. I can sense other occult's and was led here before my powers waned. Will you please help me?"
Rafe questions her about the assailant and where the house was that she escaped from.
"I don't know, I was in fairy form and with my senses addled it is all a blur. I traveled for a great distance it seems. I'm just not sure."
"What a beautiful boy you have. I love children," she tells Autumn.
Rafe cannot read her mind, nor hypnotize her to find the truth as she is a hybrid fairy human mix and has enough fairy in her to not be affected by his powers. He searches the immediate area quickly with his vampire speed and finds no one suspicious. He must protect his family, but he cannot leave a possible innocent at risk either. He invites her into their home and they sit in the foyer discussing the situation. Autumn tells Rafe that her magic mirror will help determine what happened with the young lady known only as Sandi.
Autumn takes Sandi upstairs and asks the mirror about Sandi. The mirror replies "Oh, my, she is certainly not the fairest of them all. She was captured by a man known only as Lestat. He has a bizarre history of kidnapping young women. He also captures old women, and throws potions at them to change them into young women. He turns them into glamorous models so some have not complained. But, he has recently suffered a mental breakdown that causes him to kidnap these innocents, knock them out, dress them bizarrely and cake ugly makeup on them. He has even shaved heads! She can count her lucky stars she was not shaved! Yes, we must help this young lady."
Autumn is happy to learn that Sandi is telling the truth. She asks the mirror to help with a quick makeover. The mirror complies and the magic spins Sandi around in the air and cleanses the makeup, fixing a nice new hairdo and putting her in a pretty party dress.
Autumn and Rafe offer her a place to stay until she decides what she would like to do. They decide to change her name for her own safety so she will now be known as Shea Drake. She will help look after the place, cook and clean and even though Autumn prefers to look after Will herself, she will let Shea babysit if both her and Rafe need to be gone at the same time.
Rafe takes Will out of his swing and heads out for a long stroll while Autumn takes Shea shopping.
All in all the first day as a married couple in Barnacle Bay was pretty eventful for them. Autumn settles Shea in the spare bedroom with her new wardrobe. Shea has decided to continue learning to cook, but wants to study photography and art with Autumn. Rafe has several of his employees searching for the man named Lestat. He cannot allow these kidnappings and terror to continue for these ladies. He has heard from his sources that he may be back in Lucky Palms. Rafe alerts the authorities there. He is searching for other victims to obtain clues from them as well.
Rafe and Autumn watch another beautiful sunset and have some fun under the covers before working on getting more of Autumn's things out of storage and placing them around the house.
Autumn loves being a Mom and even changing the dirty diapers is not a chore. She is breastfeeding so most of the feeding chores are hers, but, they do give the baby a bottle so Rafe can enjoy and give her a break. She finishes bathing Will and sits watching Rafe intently read his book. She puts the baby in his crib and Rafe heads over to flirt a little. She is please with his attention and the flirting leads to kissing. I do believe that next picture is an attempt to have the creator go away and leave them alone. Ok.
So, I peeked. Love that they use the dresser.
The next morning after some refreshing plasma juice they head out to the gym. Rafe wants to be sure they both skill up their sim fu before heading out on adventures. You never know who or what you will encounter and it is best to be well prepared. After their workout they enjoy some refreshing steam in the sauna. They arrive back at home just in time for a fire to break out on the lot. The fire in the fireplace was not properly put out. Rafe is brave and is able to put it out before the fireperson arrived. She only yelled at them, but, did not fine them. Autumn decides to take Will for a stroll and leaves Rafe to deal with the irate fireperson.
Autumn plays with Will while Rafe works on some plumbing upgrades. You would think with his money he could pay for the upgrades, but, Rafe is a hands on guy and likes to do things himself if he can. Shea does a little house cleaning and then watches some gardening and cooking shows on the TV. Autumn puts Will in his swing as she and Rafe get ready to head out to the Duchess. She reminds Shea to lock up after they leave, set the alarm, and not to answer the door if anyone comes by and make sure to burp Will after his bottles. Rafe gets the car ready and they head out to the docks. ,
The taxi boat deposits them on the beach and they admire the work that has been completed while they visited Autumns family in Midnight Hollow. Rafe checks out one of the new gambling games to be sure everything is in perfect working order. The slot machines seem to all be working fine and he soon hears the bells and chimes of a jackpot and sure enough one of the gamblers won a small jackpot.
There is a buffet set up on the upper deck for hungry gamblers as well as a bar for thirsty gamblers. Mr. Soto is trying to explain to the officer why he did not pay for his drink. "I thought drinks were free if I was gambling." The officer informs him this is not SimVegas and he can pay for his drink and spend the night in jail and a fine for getting out. Rafe intervenes and buys Mr. Soto a drink and gives him a coupon for the poker table and has made a new friend for life. He reminds the officer they want repeat customers, and not to be so vindictive or he would be looking for new employment. Rafe checks out the new dance floor and turns the strobe light rate down. There are a few customers playing poker and roulette and hopefully the blackjack table will fill up as night falls. He heads to his office to make a few calls and place some orders before finding Autumn.

Autumn has been wanting to paint all day and she takes advantage of the easel that Rafe had set up for her on the upper deck. She paints until it is so dark that she cannot see to paint any longer. She searches and finds Rafe in his office. They have a quick plasma juice and head up to play some poker. They both end up a little ahead, 40 for Rafe and 20 for Autumn.
Rafe takes her down to the beach and shows her the firewalk challenge. He takes his shoes off and walks across two of them without flinching. He looks back at her and asks "Coming?" She slips her shoes off and starts across and immediately jumps back off, hopping around and trying to douse the heat in her feet. "oww, oww, that hurt, are you crazy, oww, oww" she complains until the fire eases up in her feet.
She watches him walk the last fire challenge shaking her head at her crazy man. She notices he picks something up from behind a crate and hides it behind his back. "What are you hiding?" He smiles and hands her a beautiful bouquet of red roses. She breathes in the fragrance and thanks him with a kiss. They sit and watch the stars for a bit until Autumn is just missing Will too much. "I need to go check on Will."
They teleport back since it is faster and Will is asleep in his cot and Shea is reading recipe books. They thank her for watching him and head to their rooms. Autumn rocks Will while Rafe rocks and watches them and thinks that Will is growing so fast and he will be a toddler soon. He cherishes each moment he has with Will. They put the sleepy babe in his crib. Rafe spends a few hours cherishing his lovely bride.
(The picture behind Autumn is the scene she memorized when she went to Barnacle Bay to find Rafe. I had her paint it when she went home to Midnight Hollow and I finally remembered to get it out of her inventory and on the wall when I was redecorating the room.)

@PalmArrow Thanks, Barnacle Bay really has some pretty sunrises and sunsets. I think Autumn is going to do several paintings from memory for her gallery. The animations are cute with those simbots too.
Rocking with Will is one of Autumns favorite pastimes and she indulges one last time before his birthday. They rock and enjoy the afternoon breeze on the porch. She had baked his cake earlier in the day and decorated it as best she could. She just hopes it is edible as she is not a very good cook but wanted to do this for Will. She will mush up a piece and hope he enjoys eating it.
Rafe is upstairs getting a report from the mirror on the felon Lestat. He has definitely fled the area. The mirror reports that his contacts in Lucky Palms, Sunset Valley and Riverview are on the lookout. The papers have put out warnings to women in those areas to be wary of whom they befriend. It is now rumored he is experimenting with necromancy. He is to be approached with care and stealth.
Autumn blows out the candle for Will and sets him down. Everyone is blowing whistles and clapping. Will spins and ages into a toddler. He has his Dad's hair for sure. (Sorry for the picture spam. He is so cute I couldn't stop taking pics and of course, I have to show all of them)
While the others eat their birthday cake Will plays with Bei his panda bear. Rafe watches him play and bite the panda's neck and smiles "That's my boy."
Rafe and Will rock together as Mom paints a picture of the two of them.
Will gets a bit squirmy and Rafe takes him to the potty chair and starts that training. He tosses him in the air after he finishes telling him "Good job."
Rafe already dressed for the day kisses Autumn good morning. A little while later he crawls out of bed and takes his insistent son to the potty chair for some more practice. A very happy Dad completes the potty training. No more diapers for Daddy's big boy. Shea had some wishes to make some friends so she found this interesting candidate at one of the small parks. Autumn calls and chats with Victor and Gardenia. She explains that she and Rafe have obligations in Al Simhara and now that Will is a toddler it will be easier traveling with him. Yes, they will be taking Shea with them. She can help look after Will and can advance in her photography and painting skills. Autumn asks him how things are going in Midnight Hollow. She misses everyone very much and she still wants the kids to visit during summer break.
Back in Midnight Hollow
Victor hangs up from talking with Autumn and heads to get the babies up and ready for the day. He finds Lucas awake and cooing in the crib. He quickly changes him, feeds and burps him and plays with him while his sister sleeps on. Gardenia has a large order of potions to get ready for a delivery and is already hard at work in her alchemy lab.
Adam has just finished his breakfast and watches in amazement as Jillian wolfs down a large plate of waffles and then goes for seconds. He has no idea where she puts all that food. Alice is reading a new recipe to learn how to make Eggs Machiavellian. She is tired of cooking waffles and pancakes and wants to try something new.
Dylan logs on to the computer and signs himself up for Geology club after school. His brother is in scouts, Jillian takes ballet and he wants to do something different from them. He loves the outdoors and hopefully they will not sit in a classroom all the time. Josef helps out with the gardening and loves seeing all the weird things grow that his Mom has planted. Victor puts Lucas in his cot and wakes up Lexi. She takes her bottle hungrily and he burps her, changes her and he rocks his baby girl one last time because today is Lucas and Lexi's birthday.
Gardenia finishes making her potions and sending those off to the customer. She changes clothes and hurries to the kitchen to start baking birthday cakes. Once everyone arrives home from school and after school activities the party starts. Lucas as the eldest twin ages up first. Everyone cheers and claps and toots horns and suddenly Lucas is a toddler.
Lexi is next and the cheers, claps and horns are blaring. The magic spins her and she is a toddler.
The cake is cut and everyone gets a slice, except the twins. Perhaps later. They are busy exploring their toes, finding the golden bugger and playing peekaboo and not missing the cake. Lexi toddles over to Adam and he picks her up and admires a fine set of fangs already forming. Lucas makes his way over to Alice and she tosses him up in the air. The kids play tag and get Mom and Dad to join the game. Everyone has an enjoyable evening, but soon it is time for bed as school is in session the next day.
The kids enjoy a real healthy breakfast of leftover birthday cake, and Josef and Jillian found some wedding cake in the fridge as well. The bus soon arrived and they rode off to school. Adam and Alice cleaned up the mess and they headed off, Alice to the theater for her classes and Adam to the science center. Victor and Gardenia are getting the twins ready for the day. The twins eat their first bowls of oatmeal while Victor and Gardenia talk about their plans for the day.
Victor and Gardenia take the twins to the playroom. They start teaching them how to talk and being vampire and witches they learn very quickly. Soon it is potty break time. Victor gets Lucas settled on the pot and explains what to do. Lucas figures out pretty quick what to do. Lexi has her turn and soon takes care of business. The twins are settled on mats for a nap. Lucas is not sure he wants to take a nap, but the sleepiness wins out and he falls asleep.
While the twins sleep Gardenia paints. She is starting to get better at it and enjoys expressing her artistic side. Victor had told Adam to meet him at the gym after school so he headed there once the twins were settled. He worked with Adam on a weight training program. Adam ask to practice sparring and they compete upstairs where there is more room. The student has beat the master this time. They formally bow and then Victor gives Adam a not so proper high five. They have a bit more time before they need to meet the family for dinner so they work on breaking boards. Victor has advanced to space rocks and Adam is breaking thin rock boards. The kids arrive and begin to exercise at the barres. Jillian takes ballet so she is very good at this already. Soon it is time to meet the rest of the family and enjoy a meal out together.
After the kids are settled for the night, Victor and Gardenia find a spot outside and enjoy the night sky and Victor whispers suggestively to Gardenia. They teleport back to their rooms and spend the rest of the night loving.
The perimeter alarms start flashing and Adam was still up studying. He rushes downstairs to investigate and finds an intruder in the yard. The intruder is obviously up to no good wearing black to blend in with the night and a mask to hide his identity. Adam runs in front of him and the intruder throws a punch missing as Adam ducks it and using his SimFu training he kicks the legs out from under the intruder and the fight begins. The fight does not last long and soon Adam has him subdued. Victor awakened by the alarms senses the intruder and Adams intervention. He waits to see if he needs to intervene and realizes Adam has learned his lessons well and has all under control. Victor crawls back into bed, snuggles with Gardenia to awaken her and resume their loving. Alice arrives and enjoys watching the fight. The police never show up, but Adam has the intruder's information and lets him know he will be under surveillance and lets him go. Alice congratulates Adam on his victory over the intruder and starts flirting with him about how brave and strong he is. She hears Victor with his telepathy telling her to go back to bed. She sighs and mutters "is not fair being the teen daughter of a vampire."
The kids slept through the excitement from the night before. Dylan hurries out to do some gardening. Jillian wanted to go on a submarine adventure and future astronaut Josef wants to find new stars. Josef is the only one of the kids in the family that has a definite life wish and that is to become an astronaut. Even Alice has not made a decision yet. Since Alice did learn the recipe for the Eggs Machiavellian she fixed them for breakfast and the kids had a healthy breakfast today. Lucas and Lexi ate more oatmeal for breakfast while Mom and Dad smooch.
Victor and Gardenia teach Lucas and Lexi how to walk. They both learn quickly and are soon racing around the playroom floor. The potty training was also completed today. Dylan and Josef land some blows with their pillow fight, but they grin and giggle when they stop. The dig into the costume chest and play pretend. Josef wears his favorite astronaut costume and Dylan terrorizes the household as a ferocious T Rex. Jillian is off playing with a friend. Adam is practicing his meditation and has reached the zen level and can teleport now. Today is his birthday and Alice is baking a cake and arranging a party for him.
Alice has planned a birthday party for Adam. She invites his particular friends from school and the neighborhood and of course the family will be there. She texts him at the gym and tells him he needs to get home by 5 as the party starts at 6. He arrives just as they finish setting up the balloons and table with cake. Victor and Gardenia have brought the twins out to be at the party too. They have grown so much already and are playing with the blocks and banging happily. Josef, Jillian and Dylan come racing over from the playground. Jillian stays over at the dollhouse, while Dylan plays blocks with the twins. Josef decides cake is not enough and bakes some chocolate birthday cookies. The yard gets crowded as his friends arrive slapping him on the back and making jokes.
Alice tells him to make a wish and blow out the candles. Adam thinks about it, looks at Alice and grins, and blows the candles out. He claps his hands and the magic starts the process from teen to young adult. He looks a little startled as the changes take place, but soon a handsome young adult appears. His friends and family cheer as he changes, whistling and tooting horns and clapping loudly.
Everyone enjoys a piece of cake or one of Josef's cookies. After the cake Adam and Alice talk to their friends. Joseph had aged a few days prior and managed to take time away from his job to come to the party. Joseph actually remained friends with Adam and has managed to speak with Alice and become neutral if not friends again. Cornell Evans starts dancing and the kids join in. Soon everyone is dancing whether they have a partner or not. Gradually the friends begin to leave wishing Adam a happy birthday once more, and letting Alice know she gave an awesome party. The kids begged to stay up a little longer since they didn't have school the next day so the party continued with just the family. Everyone danced and laughed and the toddlers banged away on the block table babbling their toddler talk even though they had both learned Simlish.
After getting the kids and toddlers settled in bed, Gardenia and Victor find Alice and Adam still dancing outside. Victor waves them over. "Adam, we are very proud of all that you have accomplished in the short time you have been in town and staying with us. You are as much a part of this family as if you had been born to us. We love you and want you to know that. Our home will always be your home."
At this moment Alice is thinking that her Dad and Mom are the best parents in the world even if they are a bit controlling.
Adam chokes up and swallows and tries to speak, but is so overwhelmed he cannot.
Victor continues to speak. "It has always been tradition in my family to bestow gifts upon the age of majority and I wanted you to have something truly remarkable. I hope you will enjoy this gift." He hands a small box to Adam.
Adam opens the box and finds a set of keys. He finally finds his voice and thanks Victor for honoring him with a place in their home and hearts. He gives Victor and Gardenia heartfelt hugs and wipes tears from his face.
Victor tells everyone to walk with him and they walk over to the garage and he leads them past Alice's van. Hidden behind the van is a restored 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429. "Your keys are for this car also. It is yours, in your name. Happy Birthday!"
Adam is once again momentarily speechless. He looks at Victor, Gardenia and Alice. "This is awesome. She's a beauty. Thank you so much." He gives them hugs again and then he jingles the keys and asks "who wants to go for a ride?" Victor laughs, "dibs" he yells, beating out Gardenia's "me" and Alice's "I want to drive it."
Adam and Victor hop in the Mustang and head out to the back roads that are less patrolled to see just what this 'stang' can do.
After everyone had a ride in the new Mustang, Adam and Alice walked over to 'their spot' in the garden. They held hands and kissed and hugged and settled on the bench to cuddle and chat and kiss a little. In between kisses university came up. "Are you still planning on enrolling in uni?" asked Alice.
"Yeah, I think so. I want to study science a bit more than the center here offers." Adam looks at Alice thoughtfully, "You know they have a new program allowing seniors to enroll in classes at uni. Have you thought about doing that? We could go together if your parents would ok it."
Alice considers early enrollment, "Dad might go for it. He'd probably rather I go with you, then later with just Jennifer. I know Maggie and Joseph are enrolling. The military is paying the bill for them. Maybe Jennifer could go too. If her grades are high enough."
Alice snuggles next to Adam. "You know Rafe and Autumn want us to come visit during summer break. They will be back from their trip by then. It will be fun to see Barnacle Bay. I've never been there. It will be a nice break before going to university."
"I'm looking forward to getting to know Rafe better and seeing Barnacle Bay." Adam pulls her up. "Lets go take the uni tests now and see how we score."

Rafe's Story
Rafe awakens and hears retching sounds coming from down the hall and heads that way to check on Autumn. "I'm ok, probably from all the teleporting that we did. I feel fine now." and she proves it by enticing Rafe to join her in the shower.
While waiting for Autumn to finish dressing Rafe checks out some of Autumn's photo's hanging on the wall. He is amazed at the first two photos. It looks like she was present and took photos of Alice and Adam's joining. Autumn calls out to him, "I'm still not ready, go on up and I will be there in about fifteen minutes."
Rafe teleports into the kitchen and grabs a plasma juice out of the fridge. He sits at the table and is joined by Gardenia who had just finished breakfast and tells him "I will keep you company." Rafe is delighted to get to know Gardenia as he knows how much Autumn loves her sister-in-law. They chat about the family, her background as a light witch, how he ended up in Barnacle Bay. She asks about his family and he replies "Autumn is my family now, and by our joining I am honored to have your family as mine." She senses this is a sore subject and chooses not to question him further at this time.
(if you notice a bit of difference in my pictures after this it is because I got frustrated with the tiny EA/Maxis rooms and finally spent a couple of hours widening most of the rooms in the manor. I still plan to widen the kitchen at least by one tile, it did get lengthened by one tile with the changes I made, but I would like it one wider at least. The door in the dining room was in the way of one of the chairs and just was bugging the whosit out of me)
Autumn joins them finishing her plasma juice just as Victor arrives with his plasma juice and sits at the table. They continue with the getting to know you conversation. Rafe answering the questions and asking a few of his own. Victor asks his age and who his sire was. Rafe looks at Autumn with sorrow. "I'm older than dirt. I don't have a sire. I was born a vampire to Master Tarquin of Moorhall in the year 1242. That family has been gone for many centuries and not missed by anyone including me. I hope you will not hold it against me. I fear I must be truthful with you now, rather than have you dig up the information later."
Victor is astounded. He had not realized that anyone from that family of nefarious vampires survived the early hunts. "How did you survive? The purge was well planned with all the clan in attendance for feast days. I studied the history in the records and the purge was reported as complete."
Rafe laughs. "I always did have luck on my side. I hated the moors, my father, my mother, well everyone to be honest. They were a cruel lot, vindictive with no redeeming values whatsoever. I certainly did not take after either one of them. I often wondered if my mother was unfaithful to him. As soon as I was old enough I grabbed a bag, stole a weapon from the armory, coin from the strongbox and a horse from the stables. I knew with all the commotion of the clan arriving it could be days before I was missed. At least I hoped so. The purge happened the next night so I was long gone and actually did not hear about it for several months. I headed to the nearest port as I was fascinated with the stories I had read about life at sea. I found a captain of a privateer who was a were and did not have a preconceived hatred of vampires. He hired me as a cabin boy and I rose in rank as I became more experienced. I eventually had enough coin to purchase my own commission and ship. Rafeal of Moorhall died that day, Rafe Sinclair was born."
As Rafe finishes his tale, Autumn suddenly stands up, holds her mouth and is making those retching noises again. She runs to the nearest bathroom at top vampire speed. Rafe starts to go after her, and Gardenia tells him "I will go, you wait here."
Rafe tells Gardenia, "this is the second time today, something is wrong, this is not from teleporting."
Gardenia replies, "No, this is probably not from teleporting. Victor, please keep him busy for awhile."
Rafe looks at Victor and asks him to help. "Does she have something I should know about?"
Victor doesn't look too concerned. He has a feeling as the father of six that he knows what is going on, and reassures him "You will know soon enough. I am sure it is a woman thing."
Victor looks at Rafe and makes a decision. "I've always been a good judge of character and you have been a leading citizen for centuries without a blemish to your name. I'm not a member of the council anymore, so as far as I'm concerned this information is between us, and no ones business but ours. I see the love you have for Autumn in your face when you look at her. I trust that love. Welcome to the family. Now, lets get out of the way and let Gardenia take care of Autumn. I'll show you my archery range I set up for training Adam."
Autumn made it to the bathroom just in time. Gardenia knocked and came in to check on her. Autumn had washed her face and brushed her teeth and still felt queasy. "I guess I need to stop teleporting for a bit and let my cells settle down."
Gardenia just looked at Autumn. "Honey, think about the timing. What have you and Rafe been doing probably pretty much non stop since you met. Can you guarantee that you were careful each and every time? Think about it."
Autumn looks down and pats her tummy, "oh, I never thought of that. When will I know for sure?"
"Probably by this evening" Gardenia guesses."Lets go drink some tea and see if that will settle your tummy down for a bit."

The Notice
Rafe and Victor had several good matches at the archery range. They are evenly balanced in ability, strength and training and they enjoyed the friendly competition very much. They head over to the side yard where Gardenia is grilling burgers for the kids and salmon steaks for the adults. Victor introduces Rafe to his daughter Alice and to his ward Adam who is joined with Alice. Victor talks with Adam about his athletic progress and decides to add some weight training to his program to work on his muscle strength. Rafe gets to know Alice and tells her his favorite flavor of blood.
Autumn goes to the nursery to peek at the babies and then seeing they are awake plays with Lucas and Lexi before heading to the yard. She had just put Lexi back in her basket when she suddenly got nauseated again. I sure hope this stops soon she thinks to herself. I don't remember Gardenia getting this sick when she was pregnant.
Heading out to the yard and Autumn notices the kids are already eating. She is surprisingly hungry considering how nauseated she has been all day. She gives Alice a big hug. She gets her notice while talking with Alice. She is excited to have Gardenia's prediction come true and see's that Rafe is talking with Adam so she will tell him after they eat. After dinner, she tells Rafe she wants to introduce him to the babies. They head to the nursery and she introduces him to Lucas and Lexi. They each pick up a baby and play with them, snuggle them and place them in their cribs. "Lets go to our room, I need to tell you something."
Rafe enters their room, turns and asks her "are you ok? I've been worried about you all day." Autumn nods, "I'm fine, the reason I've been feeling so sick, well, you see, I'm pregnant! You are going to be a Dad! I'm going to be a Mom!"
Rafe is stunned and happy and his face shows it. He reaches out and gives her a passionate kiss. "I wanted this to happen and I'm so excited and am really happy about this. Are you okay with this" he asks worriedly.
"I am very happy about this. I know we didn't really talk about having kids, but I'm very excited about having your baby. I hope the sick part is mostly over now though."
Rafe gives her an amazing massage and then takes her hand and says "lets go find Victor and Gardenia and tell them. Do you think they knew. Victor told me it was a woman thing, but, it didn't dawn on me what he meant."
"Gardenia told me she was pretty sure I was pregnant. I wanted to wait until I was sure before I told you."
They find Victor and Gardenia enjoying the moonlight and share the news with them. Rafe tells Gardenia how much he enjoyed visiting with Lucas and Lexi and playing with them and how he is excited to hold his own child. Autumn is yawning and Gardenia tells her to go rest. "I'll walk down with you as I need to check on the babies."
Rafe stays behind wanting to talk with Victor. They walk across the yard and Rafe nervously remarks "Autumn told me what happened to her, how she and you became Vampires and what happened to the rest of your family. I am so very sorry about what happened to you and Autumn and to them. I'm beyond happy that she has accepted me as she did. I was afraid she might not, but, the fates were good to us. I promise that I will do all I can for the rest of my life to keep Autumn happy and those horrible memories at bay. I've asked her to marry me and she said yes. You are her only male relative. I want to ask you for your blessing on our marriage."
Victor smiles, "I give my blessing to your marriage and am pleased that you asked. You will be good for her. She is so serious most of the time, despite her fashion sense being so frivolous. I can see that she is more lighthearted around you."
"Do you think we can arrange a wedding for later today? I want to be married before the babe comes. I'm sure I can convince Autumn not to wait."
"I don't see why not. I'll let Gardenia know and she will probably have lists of things of things for us to do in preparation."

The next morning Autumn asked Rafe to go with her to the local library to check out some baby books. "I've only played with the babies when I visited. I've never really taken care of them. I want to make sure we know what to do. Do you know anything about babies?"
Rafe looks at Autumn and shakes his head. "Not much, I'm like you, I've played with them, but usually hand them back to the parents when they need things."
They sit and read the books and Autumn's back starts hurting from the uncomfortable chair. Rafe massages her which eases it up a bit. He suggests they go to the gym and use the massage table there. Autumn enjoys the massage and feels so relaxed. "You have a magic touch." she tells Rafe. "I trained with the best and am glad I can give you some relief. We will have to get one of these tables for the house."
Rafe receives a text from Gardenia telling him all is in readiness for the wedding tonight at sunset. "Lets get you back to the house so you can have a nap before the ceremony."
Autumn pats the bed and tells Rafe he has to take a nap too. He gets on the bed and cuddles with her and one thing leads to another and another. They both look very satisfied and they did eventually take a nap.
After waking from her nap, Autumn shakes Rafe awake, "My belly is growing. Look at me! They baby must be growing bigger." Rafe feels her belly, grinning up at her. "I think we must have a boy, a big boy in there." He talks to the baby and then listens to see if he can hear anything.
Gardenia, Alice and Jillian arrive to help get Autumn all dressed up for the wedding. They shoo Rafe out and tell him to get ready too. Gardenia has some sexy new lingerie for Autumn to wear under her dress. Dresses were limited because of the pregnancy, but, they found something that showed off her pretty figure and cute baby bump. Alice swept Autumns' hair into a loose bun leaving a few strands around her face to soften the look. Gardenia brought her jewelry box out and added the finishing touches with earrings and a diamond necklace. Autumn looks in the mirror and loves what she sees. She hugs and thanks everyone for helping.
Rafe changes into his formal wear and heads upstairs. He finds Victor and Adam over at the outdoor bar. Victor tells him the cake is on the way and will be set up here by the staff while the wedding is in progress. Rafe shakes his hand, "I really appreciate you and Gardenia arranging this for us." Josef and Dylan arrive dressed in their formal outfits. Gardenia sends a text to Victor telling him to get everyone to the arch and Victor is to wait to walk Autumn up.
Victor looks at Autumn and tells her how beautiful she is. "I'm so happy this day has come for you. My hope is you will be as happy as Gardenia and I are." Autumn gives Victor a big hug, "Don't you dare make me cry or my mascara will run black streaks down my face."

The Wedding
The sun is setting and the wedding march plays. Victor walks his beautiful sister to the arch where she will officially join with Rafe as a married couple. Rafe's heartbeat speeds up as he watches his treasured lifemate walk to the arch. He thanks the fates for finally bring her to him. Victor hugs Autumn once more realizing how sad and happy he can be at the same time. Rafe will now be his sister's protector. He must let her go. He thinks ahead knowing how hard it will be to let his daughters go when the time comes for them. Autumn has eyes only for Rafe. She has fully accepted this joining and is ready for her new life.
Rafe takes her hands and they walk together under the arch. The sky darkens as the sun sets and a rosy glow covers the land. He whispers, "You are so beautiful. I love you so very much." She smiles happily and whispers back, "I love you Rafe."
They say their vows and exchange rings. They become husband and wife and kiss for the first time as husband and wife.
Rafe is not done kissing his bride and spins her giving her a loving dip kiss. The family cheer and throw rice at them.

Lets Eat Cake
Rafe and Autumn lead the family to the other side of the yard for the cake cutting. For such short notice the bakery did an awesome job on the cake. Rafe hesitates to cut into it, but, finally cuts a big slice and hands it to Autumn. He slices one for himself and then follows Autumn to the table. He tells the others to help themselves and they follow suit cutting slices and head to the tables to eat.
Even though there is room at the table Gardenia sits with her kids at the mushroom table. Dylan wants to know "Is he really a pirate? Does he have a ship and a cutlass and cannons. Can we go visit them on vacation and see his ship and the pirate island?" The other two kids are a little older, but, they watch and listen intently for her answer. "Perhaps before they leave for Barnacle Bay Rafe will tell you about some of his adventures and his life on the island. Yes, we will visit them just as they will visit us here."
They finish their cake and Rafe and Autumn pass out more hugs and thanks and head to Victor and Gardenia's private grotto. Victor has given them the keys so it will stay private for them to spend their first married night together.

Rafe and Autumn kiss passionately after arriving in the grotto. When they come up for a breath, Autumn admires her ring and Rafe loves his first impressions of the grotto. "Perhaps we can do some excavations under the manor."
They decide to check out the hot tub first and since privacy is assured by the locks and spells they remove their clothing and jump in to enjoy the hot tub while skinny dipping. They cuddle and kiss and things get very warm indeed.
Climbing out of the hot tub they decide a nice cup of tea would be refreshing. Rafe quickly redresses while Autumn strolls over to the tea table to have her tea naked as the day she was born. She giggles and teases Rafe, "You are just a bit overdressed." Rafe teases back, "You are just a bit under dressed, but I don't mind at all."
Creator decides to put Autumn and Rafe in their comfy PJ's to lounge around in while they enjoy their tea.
The children are allowed to stay up late and are playing in the play yard with new toys that Rafe and Autumn brought from Barnacle Bay. (found by creator while roaming cc sites, I love the cc dollhouse cemetery for this save in particular) Alice and Adam are watching TV while relaxing on his bed, hoping Victor is distracted and won't catch them. Victor and Gardenia are playing with the babies who got a little lonely during the wedding festivities. They are fed and changed and rocked and ready to go in their cribs for the night. (sorry, forgot picture)
Rafe and Autumn check out the rest of the grotto and enjoy the bed. They snuggle together sleep for a few hours, awaken and enjoy each til they fall asleep again. Rafe fixes them both a refreshing drink the boosts their energy and thirst. Rafe asks questions about the coming baby. "Do you want a boy or girl? What about names, what are we going to name the baby?
"If it is a boy do you want it to be a Rafe, junior? If not, I'd like to name the baby after my father if it is a boy, my mother if it is a girl."
"I don't want a junior. I want my son to be his own man. I love the idea of naming them after your parents though."
Autumn complains of her lower back again. "It feels like the baby is trying to come through my back."
Rafe gives her a massage that does not help this time.

The Baby
Autumn clutches her belly as another contraction grips her. She starts breathing the slow controlled breathing that she read about in the baby books. Rafe is wringing his hands and asking "what do I do, what do I do." It seems as if all he read in the books has flown out of his head. The contractions get stronger and come much faster, and Rafe starts coaching her with her breathing and massages her back in between contractions. With one last contraction baby Will is born, named after her father William. He looks like he has his Dad's dark hair and dark skin. (I peeked and he is going to be one handsome guy) He is artistic from Mom and brave from Dad. Autumn snuggles her new babe and then hands him to Rafe so he can start bonding with the baby. When he starts rooting around looking for food Rafe hands him back to Autumn so she can feed him as he is very hungry and sleepy after his birth. "You rest in the rocker with Will for a bit and I will go tell everyone."
Rafe finds Victor at the bar where he is trying to master his mixolgy skill. He quickly tells him about the birth of his son and they named him Will. Victor is pleased with the name and that Autumn and baby are doing well. "She will be up after feeding the baby and resting for a few."
He finds Gardenia in the back where she had been painting. Gardenia is very happy. "Just the one baby then, you know twins run in the Ballan family."
Rafe gulps and tells her "we will leave twins to you and Victor."
Gardenia laughs happily "It gets easier and easier each time though. I wonder if you would chat with Dylan. He is all enthralled about your history as a privateer and has lots of questions for you."
"I would love to chat with him." The kids had been running in the yard playing tag and quickly came when Rafe called "ahoy me mateys, come along and hear some tales of wonder and plunder."
Rafe chatted with Dylan and answered his many questions. The other kids were close by and listening avidly. It got darker and he loved telling tall tales so took out his flashlight and gathered everyone including the adults and teens to listen to his tales. He told a tale of sea monsters that attacked the ship and the brave pirates fighting the monsters not wanting to become food for the fishes or end up in Davy Jones Locker. The pirates were too much for the monsters and the monsters soon ended up at the bottom of the sea. Autumn and Will arrive as the story ends and everyone crowds around to see baby Will. It is late and school is tomorrow so everyone heads off to bed.
Autumn puts the baby in his basket and Rafe gives her a hungry kiss. They hold hands after loving and fall asleep spooned together both very happy with what the Fates brought into their lives.

Off to Barnacle Bay
Rafe wakes up early hearing Will stir in his basket. He quickly picks him up and plays with him, snuggling him close to keep him from crying and waking Autumn. He looks at Will and is amazed and excited about having this child in his life. He never thought he would be this lucky. Rafe rocks him enjoying the quiet time bonding with his son.
Autumn is showered and ready for the day refreshed after a long sleep. She plays and feeds Will while Rafe gets ready. As much as they love the grotto they both want to get out for a bit. Gardenia will be home to keep an eye on Will as she watches her two babes.
They are ready to head out, but have to pause to check out those wedding bands and sigh happily. First stop is the gallery. Autumn wants to show off her paintings to Rafe, as well as make sure everything is in order. Gardenia will be overseeing the gallery for her in Midnight Hollow. She may open a small one in Barnacle Bay in the future. After showing off her paintings they head over to the gym to get a bit of exercise. They run the jogging track outside and Rafe enjoys the view as he follows Autumn jogging in her tight track suit. Rafe and Autumn jog several miles and head inside for showers and change clothes. Back outside Rafe flirts with her and as he is reaching in for a kiss the phone goes off. It is Alice and Adam inviting them for bowling.
Adam and Alice finished their meal and headed down into the basement bowling alley. Alice had invited Rafe and Autumn to bowl a few games with them. Autumn and Rafe teleported in just as they arrived downstairs. They had a great time bowling together, getting to know Rafe better and Autumn invited them both to Barnacle Bay when school lets out and before they start university. Rafe and Autumn teleport back to the house. Adam and Alice drive back in her van stopping outside the house for a few kisses before heading in.
The next day was spent getting ready to move to Barnacle Bay. Rafe and Autumn packed up her belongings to ship out. Before they knew it the kids were home from school and it was time to say goodbye. Everyone came out front to wave goodbye as they left. Victor arranged for a friend to take a photo of the family before Rafe, Autumn and Will left. The last hugs and good wishes were passed out and Rafe, Autumn and Will climbed into the taxi to start the journey to begin their new life together in Barnacle Bay.

Home to Barnacle Bay
Rafe, Autumn and Will arrive home in Barnacle Bay early the next morning. They are tired after traveling all night. Not so tired that Rafe doesn't put Will in his travel basket and take Autumn in his loving arms and kiss her soundly. He picks her up and carries her over the threshold, "Welcome home Mrs Sinclair." He gives her a long loving kiss and heads back outside to bring Will in. Autumn feeds the baby as they talk about what needs to be done in the house. Some of Autumns' furniture that had been in storage has been moved in by Rafe's employees. Suddenly a loud, frantic knocking was heard at the front door. With their vampire senses they both hear a cry "oh, someone please be home, please help me."
Rafe and Autumn rush to the door and what a sight standing before them. A young woman in obvious distress is begging for their help. "I just escaped from this mad man who captured me, knocked me out, dressed me in these awful clothes, painted my face and had me locked in a room. When I came to, I was able to escape because he did not know I was a fairy as I have no wings in human form. It took me awhile to transform as the knock on my head left me weakened. I finally was able to fly under the door and escape through the back of the house. I can sense other occult's and was led here before my powers waned. Will you please help me?"
Rafe questions her about the assailant and where the house was that she escaped from.
"I don't know, I was in fairy form and with my senses addled it is all a blur. I traveled for a great distance it seems. I'm just not sure."
"What a beautiful boy you have. I love children," she tells Autumn.
Rafe cannot read her mind, nor hypnotize her to find the truth as she is a hybrid fairy human mix and has enough fairy in her to not be affected by his powers. He searches the immediate area quickly with his vampire speed and finds no one suspicious. He must protect his family, but he cannot leave a possible innocent at risk either. He invites her into their home and they sit in the foyer discussing the situation. Autumn tells Rafe that her magic mirror will help determine what happened with the young lady known only as Sandi.
Autumn takes Sandi upstairs and asks the mirror about Sandi. The mirror replies "Oh, my, she is certainly not the fairest of them all. She was captured by a man known only as Lestat. He has a bizarre history of kidnapping young women. He also captures old women, and throws potions at them to change them into young women. He turns them into glamorous models so some have not complained. But, he has recently suffered a mental breakdown that causes him to kidnap these innocents, knock them out, dress them bizarrely and cake ugly makeup on them. He has even shaved heads! She can count her lucky stars she was not shaved! Yes, we must help this young lady."
Autumn is happy to learn that Sandi is telling the truth. She asks the mirror to help with a quick makeover. The mirror complies and the magic spins Sandi around in the air and cleanses the makeup, fixing a nice new hairdo and putting her in a pretty party dress.
Autumn and Rafe offer her a place to stay until she decides what she would like to do. They decide to change her name for her own safety so she will now be known as Shea Drake. She will help look after the place, cook and clean and even though Autumn prefers to look after Will herself, she will let Shea babysit if both her and Rafe need to be gone at the same time.
Rafe takes Will out of his swing and heads out for a long stroll while Autumn takes Shea shopping.
All in all the first day as a married couple in Barnacle Bay was pretty eventful for them. Autumn settles Shea in the spare bedroom with her new wardrobe. Shea has decided to continue learning to cook, but wants to study photography and art with Autumn. Rafe has several of his employees searching for the man named Lestat. He cannot allow these kidnappings and terror to continue for these ladies. He has heard from his sources that he may be back in Lucky Palms. Rafe alerts the authorities there. He is searching for other victims to obtain clues from them as well.
Rafe and Autumn watch another beautiful sunset and have some fun under the covers before working on getting more of Autumn's things out of storage and placing them around the house.

Fire
Autumn loves being a Mom and even changing the dirty diapers is not a chore. She is breastfeeding so most of the feeding chores are hers, but, they do give the baby a bottle so Rafe can enjoy and give her a break. She finishes bathing Will and sits watching Rafe intently read his book. She puts the baby in his crib and Rafe heads over to flirt a little. She is please with his attention and the flirting leads to kissing. I do believe that next picture is an attempt to have the creator go away and leave them alone. Ok.
So, I peeked. Love that they use the dresser.
The next morning after some refreshing plasma juice they head out to the gym. Rafe wants to be sure they both skill up their sim fu before heading out on adventures. You never know who or what you will encounter and it is best to be well prepared. After their workout they enjoy some refreshing steam in the sauna. They arrive back at home just in time for a fire to break out on the lot. The fire in the fireplace was not properly put out. Rafe is brave and is able to put it out before the fireperson arrived. She only yelled at them, but, did not fine them. Autumn decides to take Will for a stroll and leaves Rafe to deal with the irate fireperson.

The Duchess
Part 1
Autumn plays with Will while Rafe works on some plumbing upgrades. You would think with his money he could pay for the upgrades, but, Rafe is a hands on guy and likes to do things himself if he can. Shea does a little house cleaning and then watches some gardening and cooking shows on the TV. Autumn puts Will in his swing as she and Rafe get ready to head out to the Duchess. She reminds Shea to lock up after they leave, set the alarm, and not to answer the door if anyone comes by and make sure to burp Will after his bottles. Rafe gets the car ready and they head out to the docks.
The taxi boat deposits them on the beach and they admire the work that has been completed while they visited Autumns family in Midnight Hollow. Rafe checks out one of the new gambling games to be sure everything is in perfect working order. The slot machines seem to all be working fine and he soon hears the bells and chimes of a jackpot and sure enough one of the gamblers won a small jackpot.
There is a buffet set up on the upper deck for hungry gamblers as well as a bar for thirsty gamblers. Mr. Soto is trying to explain to the officer why he did not pay for his drink. "I thought drinks were free if I was gambling." The officer informs him this is not SimVegas and he can pay for his drink and spend the night in jail and a fine for getting out. Rafe intervenes and buys Mr. Soto a drink and gives him a coupon for the poker table and has made a new friend for life. He reminds the officer they want repeat customers, and not to be so vindictive or he would be looking for new employment. Rafe checks out the new dance floor and turns the strobe light rate down. There are a few customers playing poker and roulette and hopefully the blackjack table will fill up as night falls. He heads to his office to make a few calls and place some orders before finding Autumn.

Part 2
Autumn has been wanting to paint all day and she takes advantage of the easel that Rafe had set up for her on the upper deck. She paints until it is so dark that she cannot see to paint any longer. She searches and finds Rafe in his office. They have a quick plasma juice and head up to play some poker. They both end up a little ahead, 40 for Rafe and 20 for Autumn.
Rafe takes her down to the beach and shows her the firewalk challenge. He takes his shoes off and walks across two of them without flinching. He looks back at her and asks "Coming?" She slips her shoes off and starts across and immediately jumps back off, hopping around and trying to douse the heat in her feet. "oww, oww, that hurt, are you crazy, oww, oww" she complains until the fire eases up in her feet.
She watches him walk the last fire challenge shaking her head at her crazy man. She notices he picks something up from behind a crate and hides it behind his back. "What are you hiding?" He smiles and hands her a beautiful bouquet of red roses. She breathes in the fragrance and thanks him with a kiss. They sit and watch the stars for a bit until Autumn is just missing Will too much. "I need to go check on Will."
They teleport back since it is faster and Will is asleep in his cot and Shea is reading recipe books. They thank her for watching him and head to their rooms. Autumn rocks Will while Rafe rocks and watches them and thinks that Will is growing so fast and he will be a toddler soon. He cherishes each moment he has with Will. They put the sleepy babe in his crib. Rafe spends a few hours cherishing his lovely bride.

Will's Birthday
Rocking with Will is one of Autumns favorite pastimes and she indulges one last time before his birthday. They rock and enjoy the afternoon breeze on the porch. She had baked his cake earlier in the day and decorated it as best she could. She just hopes it is edible as she is not a very good cook but wanted to do this for Will. She will mush up a piece and hope he enjoys eating it.
Rafe is upstairs getting a report from the mirror on the felon Lestat. He has definitely fled the area. The mirror reports that his contacts in Lucky Palms, Sunset Valley and Riverview are on the lookout. The papers have put out warnings to women in those areas to be wary of whom they befriend. It is now rumored he is experimenting with necromancy. He is to be approached with care and stealth.
Autumn blows out the candle for Will and sets him down. Everyone is blowing whistles and clapping. Will spins and ages into a toddler. He has his Dad's hair for sure. (Sorry for the picture spam. He is so cute I couldn't stop taking pics and of course, I have to show all of them)
While the others eat their birthday cake Will plays with Bei his panda bear. Rafe watches him play and bite the panda's neck and smiles "That's my boy."
Rafe and Will rock together as Mom paints a picture of the two of them.
Will gets a bit squirmy and Rafe takes him to the potty chair and starts that training. He tosses him in the air after he finishes telling him "Good job."

Transitions
Rafe already dressed for the day kisses Autumn good morning. A little while later he crawls out of bed and takes his insistent son to the potty chair for some more practice. A very happy Dad completes the potty training. No more diapers for Daddy's big boy. Shea had some wishes to make some friends so she found this interesting candidate at one of the small parks. Autumn calls and chats with Victor and Gardenia. She explains that she and Rafe have obligations in Al Simhara and now that Will is a toddler it will be easier traveling with him. Yes, they will be taking Shea with them. She can help look after Will and can advance in her photography and painting skills. Autumn asks him how things are going in Midnight Hollow. She misses everyone very much and she still wants the kids to visit during summer break.
Back in Midnight Hollow
Victor hangs up from talking with Autumn and heads to get the babies up and ready for the day. He finds Lucas awake and cooing in the crib. He quickly changes him, feeds and burps him and plays with him while his sister sleeps on. Gardenia has a large order of potions to get ready for a delivery and is already hard at work in her alchemy lab.
Adam has just finished his breakfast and watches in amazement as Jillian wolfs down a large plate of waffles and then goes for seconds. He has no idea where she puts all that food. Alice is reading a new recipe to learn how to make Eggs Machiavellian. She is tired of cooking waffles and pancakes and wants to try something new.
Dylan logs on to the computer and signs himself up for Geology club after school. His brother is in scouts, Jillian takes ballet and he wants to do something different from them. He loves the outdoors and hopefully they will not sit in a classroom all the time. Josef helps out with the gardening and loves seeing all the weird things grow that his Mom has planted. Victor puts Lucas in his cot and wakes up Lexi. She takes her bottle hungrily and he burps her, changes her and he rocks his baby girl one last time because today is Lucas and Lexi's birthday.

Gardenia finishes making her potions and sending those off to the customer. She changes clothes and hurries to the kitchen to start baking birthday cakes. Once everyone arrives home from school and after school activities the party starts. Lucas as the eldest twin ages up first. Everyone cheers and claps and toots horns and suddenly Lucas is a toddler.
Lexi is next and the cheers, claps and horns are blaring. The magic spins her and she is a toddler.
The cake is cut and everyone gets a slice, except the twins. Perhaps later. They are busy exploring their toes, finding the golden bugger and playing peekaboo and not missing the cake. Lexi toddles over to Adam and he picks her up and admires a fine set of fangs already forming. Lucas makes his way over to Alice and she tosses him up in the air. The kids play tag and get Mom and Dad to join the game. Everyone has an enjoyable evening, but soon it is time for bed as school is in session the next day.

Learning
The kids enjoy a real healthy breakfast of leftover birthday cake, and Josef and Jillian found some wedding cake in the fridge as well. The bus soon arrived and they rode off to school. Adam and Alice cleaned up the mess and they headed off, Alice to the theater for her classes and Adam to the science center. Victor and Gardenia are getting the twins ready for the day. The twins eat their first bowls of oatmeal while Victor and Gardenia talk about their plans for the day.
Victor and Gardenia take the twins to the playroom. They start teaching them how to talk and being vampire and witches they learn very quickly. Soon it is potty break time. Victor gets Lucas settled on the pot and explains what to do. Lucas figures out pretty quick what to do. Lexi has her turn and soon takes care of business. The twins are settled on mats for a nap. Lucas is not sure he wants to take a nap, but the sleepiness wins out and he falls asleep.
While the twins sleep Gardenia paints. She is starting to get better at it and enjoys expressing her artistic side. Victor had told Adam to meet him at the gym after school so he headed there once the twins were settled. He worked with Adam on a weight training program. Adam ask to practice sparring and they compete upstairs where there is more room. The student has beat the master this time. They formally bow and then Victor gives Adam a not so proper high five. They have a bit more time before they need to meet the family for dinner so they work on breaking boards. Victor has advanced to space rocks and Adam is breaking thin rock boards. The kids arrive and begin to exercise at the barres. Jillian takes ballet so she is very good at this already. Soon it is time to meet the rest of the family and enjoy a meal out together.

The Intruder
After the kids are settled for the night, Victor and Gardenia find a spot outside and enjoy the night sky and Victor whispers suggestively to Gardenia. They teleport back to their rooms and spend the rest of the night loving.
The perimeter alarms start flashing and Adam was still up studying. He rushes downstairs to investigate and finds an intruder in the yard. The intruder is obviously up to no good wearing black to blend in with the night and a mask to hide his identity. Adam runs in front of him and the intruder throws a punch missing as Adam ducks it and using his SimFu training he kicks the legs out from under the intruder and the fight begins. The fight does not last long and soon Adam has him subdued. Victor awakened by the alarms senses the intruder and Adams intervention. He waits to see if he needs to intervene and realizes Adam has learned his lessons well and has all under control. Victor crawls back into bed, snuggles with Gardenia to awaken her and resume their loving. Alice arrives and enjoys watching the fight. The police never show up, but Adam has the intruder's information and lets him know he will be under surveillance and lets him go. Alice congratulates Adam on his victory over the intruder and starts flirting with him about how brave and strong he is. She hears Victor with his telepathy telling her to go back to bed. She sighs and mutters "is not fair being the teen daughter of a vampire."

Another Day
The kids slept through the excitement from the night before. Dylan hurries out to do some gardening. Jillian wanted to go on a submarine adventure and future astronaut Josef wants to find new stars. Josef is the only one of the kids in the family that has a definite life wish and that is to become an astronaut. Even Alice has not made a decision yet. Since Alice did learn the recipe for the Eggs Machiavellian she fixed them for breakfast and the kids had a healthy breakfast today. Lucas and Lexi ate more oatmeal for breakfast while Mom and Dad smooch.
Victor and Gardenia teach Lucas and Lexi how to walk. They both learn quickly and are soon racing around the playroom floor. The potty training was also completed today. Dylan and Josef land some blows with their pillow fight, but they grin and giggle when they stop. The dig into the costume chest and play pretend. Josef wears his favorite astronaut costume and Dylan terrorizes the household as a ferocious T Rex. Jillian is off playing with a friend. Adam is practicing his meditation and has reached the zen level and can teleport now. Today is his birthday and Alice is baking a cake and arranging a party for him.

Adam's Birthday
Alice has planned a birthday party for Adam. She invites his particular friends from school and the neighborhood and of course the family will be there. She texts him at the gym and tells him he needs to get home by 5 as the party starts at 6. He arrives just as they finish setting up the balloons and table with cake. Victor and Gardenia have brought the twins out to be at the party too. They have grown so much already and are playing with the blocks and banging happily. Josef, Jillian and Dylan come racing over from the playground. Jillian stays over at the dollhouse, while Dylan plays blocks with the twins. Josef decides cake is not enough and bakes some chocolate birthday cookies. The yard gets crowded as his friends arrive slapping him on the back and making jokes.
Alice tells him to make a wish and blow out the candles. Adam thinks about it, looks at Alice and grins, and blows the candles out. He claps his hands and the magic starts the process from teen to young adult. He looks a little startled as the changes take place, but soon a handsome young adult appears. His friends and family cheer as he changes, whistling and tooting horns and clapping loudly.
Everyone enjoys a piece of cake or one of Josef's cookies. After the cake Adam and Alice talk to their friends. Joseph had aged a few days prior and managed to take time away from his job to come to the party. Joseph actually remained friends with Adam and has managed to speak with Alice and become neutral if not friends again. Cornell Evans starts dancing and the kids join in. Soon everyone is dancing whether they have a partner or not. Gradually the friends begin to leave wishing Adam a happy birthday once more, and letting Alice know she gave an awesome party. The kids begged to stay up a little longer since they didn't have school the next day so the party continued with just the family. Everyone danced and laughed and the toddlers banged away on the block table babbling their toddler talk even though they had both learned Simlish.

Birthday Gift
After getting the kids and toddlers settled in bed, Gardenia and Victor find Alice and Adam still dancing outside. Victor waves them over. "Adam, we are very proud of all that you have accomplished in the short time you have been in town and staying with us. You are as much a part of this family as if you had been born to us. We love you and want you to know that. Our home will always be your home."
At this moment Alice is thinking that her Dad and Mom are the best parents in the world even if they are a bit controlling.
Adam chokes up and swallows and tries to speak, but is so overwhelmed he cannot.
Victor continues to speak. "It has always been tradition in my family to bestow gifts upon the age of majority and I wanted you to have something truly remarkable. I hope you will enjoy this gift." He hands a small box to Adam.
Adam opens the box and finds a set of keys. He finally finds his voice and thanks Victor for honoring him with a place in their home and hearts. He gives Victor and Gardenia heartfelt hugs and wipes tears from his face.
Victor tells everyone to walk with him and they walk over to the garage and he leads them past Alice's van. Hidden behind the van is a restored 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429. "Your keys are for this car also. It is yours, in your name. Happy Birthday!"
Adam is once again momentarily speechless. He looks at Victor, Gardenia and Alice. "This is awesome. She's a beauty. Thank you so much." He gives them hugs again and then he jingles the keys and asks "who wants to go for a ride?" Victor laughs, "dibs" he yells, beating out Gardenia's "me" and Alice's "I want to drive it."
Adam and Victor hop in the Mustang and head out to the back roads that are less patrolled to see just what this 'stang' can do.

After everyone had a ride in the new Mustang, Adam and Alice walked over to 'their spot' in the garden. They held hands and kissed and hugged and settled on the bench to cuddle and chat and kiss a little. In between kisses university came up. "Are you still planning on enrolling in uni?" asked Alice.
"Yeah, I think so. I want to study science a bit more than the center here offers." Adam looks at Alice thoughtfully, "You know they have a new program allowing seniors to enroll in classes at uni. Have you thought about doing that? We could go together if your parents would ok it."
Alice considers early enrollment, "Dad might go for it. He'd probably rather I go with you, then later with just Jennifer. I know Maggie and Joseph are enrolling. The military is paying the bill for them. Maybe Jennifer could go too. If her grades are high enough."
Alice snuggles next to Adam. "You know Rafe and Autumn want us to come visit during summer break. They will be back from their trip by then. It will be fun to see Barnacle Bay. I've never been there. It will be a nice break before going to university."
"I'm looking forward to getting to know Rafe better and seeing Barnacle Bay." Adam pulls her up. "Lets go take the uni tests now and see how we score."

Yep, Vampire Dad, witch Mom.....she's smart! and Adam scored just a bit higher and I've had him less time in game!
