I've been wanting various styles of stairs for a long time. Like multi-level stairs (stairs with one or more landing before connecting to the 2nd level). Having a varied would be great!
I've said it before, I'll say it again...I would love more stair types. I wish EA would hear us!
They hear, they're just not listening....yet.
Yeah, new stairs would have to be patched, like roofs. At least I hope they would be, which would explain why we don't have any because that would mean being free.
Prepping a list of mods to add after Infants are placed into the game. Because real life isn't 'nice'.
Absolutely. And for the foundations to stop auto creating theirselves into the rest of the lot builds. We could definitely use a build pack. Maybe the one interactive item could be elevators and you can woohoo in them and/or faulter and plummit down killing all sims inside fixed by upgrading them, idk.
A game that I've paid for, has me missing a game I played for free, simply becuase of its lack of some obvious features.
Whilst I enjoy a lot of the building features and I have to say, building was a big push to get me to actually go for it and finally buy this game, sometimes I get frustrated that I'm missing some things that I got in a game like Freeplay, frustrating as that was to build in. Freeplay has the regular straight stairs of course, as well as a fireman's pole (complete with ladder so you can climb up it as well), elevators, switchback staircases and spiral stairs. I know they're different teams, but it frustrates me that in some ways, I have content in a freemium version of a game that is lacking in a paid version of a game.
Also, if I can create diagonally-placed houses, then I need to be able to place stairs diagonally too. As for the stairs, switchback and spiral stairs are essential for small, compact builds. The straight ones take up too much space in some houses. We need options, just like how we have different wall heights, which are great.
Finally, I would love some sliding down the bannister animations. Those are awesome!
Couldn't agree more with you @astera00! How is it that a free mobile game has more options for stairs than a $40 PC game?! And we really need diagonal stairs too!
Agree with all of you! Def need more variations of stairs and railings. It's rather difficult to create a grand entrance with no curved or angled stairs. And one cannot have an adequate San Myshuno loft without spiral stairs.
But not sure if this will ever happen. I am still waiting for sliding glass doors to make a return, and that has yet to happen 4 years in.
I'm sorry to beat a dead horse. I need various type of stairs in my life. I'm recreating Luigi Mansion. I can't bring my self to muck up the stairs. #EA #STAIRS #PLEASE #THESIMS4
We do need more stairs to work with. In my opinion the most essential additions would be L-shapes, U-shapes, spiral and ladders. I'd be pretty dissatisfied if we had just spirals and ladders thrown at us.
Yes! Absolutely agree. This has been a frustration since Sims 4 came out. There is so much more we could build with the different types of stairs. Spiral, L-shaped, switchback, ladders, curved, etc. Also agree diagonal rooms need diagonal stairs. And would like the foundation hight to not auto generate on all buildings on the lot. There should be an auto off/on option for that.

Even Freeplay has more stairs than Sims 4.

Also marble staircases, and curved staircases (like in castles and old mansions) would be great.
