Field Trip Haul

What's the best thing a child sim has brought home from a field trip in your game?

My current household has 11 children and they all had a field trip to the mausoleum today. Altogether they brought back the following:

genie lamp
9 spooky posters
iron ore
The following books: The White Flag of Victory, From Mummy to Dead: The History of Healing, Murder in Pleasantview
apple
uncut pink diamond :o
tungsten carbide ore
unknown special seed
uncut lapis lazuli
uncut citrine

I've never had a field trip bring back such valuable items before. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the genie lamp. I suppose I could let the child who brought it home make a wish (as a teen if he can't do it now). His parents have 2 genie lamps already that I haven't used, so they don't really need the wishes.

I saved the game immediately.

The only thing I can remember is a genie lamp. I have no idea where it came from. I just found it in a child's inventory once. It was several years ago now.

I've had many different types of gems and minerals and insects.

I usually just get the posters, a seed or low level gem. Never got the good stuff like you did, unless I send my sim to explore the catacombs. I have got the lamp and nice priced books and some fun gems to sell with exploring.

Nevermind the field trip items, how do you play with 11 children and not want to jump off a bridge? I had a family that had 8 (+ 1 imaginary friend) at one point spread out from teens to infants and the mom wanted even more but I was finding myself wanting to pull my hair out more than enjoying myself so one day...a few of them...had an accident o:)

I play with NRaas Relativity set to 19 (half speed), the parents are self-employed sculptors and are always home, and at this point in the game have $20 million. I use a mod to set all beds to the same energy multiplier so keeping them on a schedule is a bit easier. Then I just pause the game quite a bit, decide what everyone is going to do, then set them loose. I usually give them 'free time' from dinner to bed time depending on whether they have wishes I'd like them to fulfill.

The household also had 2 teens and 4 YAs and 2 adults. The 4 YAs were 2 married couples and 6 of the 11 kids were children of the 2 YA couples. 3 of the YAs were in a homeworld university and taking finals the day of the field trip. After graduation on Sat I moved out both couples with all their kids. The 2 teens aged to YA on Monday and move out immediately. So, the household size dropped by 12 within about 3 days reducing the household size to 7, which was been really nice.

I should think you'd save after that!

Egads! Sounds like they picked the place clean!
Next you'll tell us they're all kleptos, right? Lol

I uploaded something! (yay) My Studio
    Enjoy!

No kleptos! One of their fathers was a kleptomaniac though. I tried to get him to steal a dumpster for me, but that didn't seem possible.

LOL, I'd be more impressed if they managed to steal a claw machine and some of the kids figured out how to crawl inside of it to play with the toys.

I'm not sure there's a claw machine outside anywhere in town. Maybe at the festival, but that's not often empty and has a LN bar and a UL snack bar. I'm not sure when, or if, those 2 role sims leave the lot. I wonder if I can set hours so they leave in the middle of the night.

The klepto was the former maid. The next time I play fairy sims though, definitely getting them a claw machine. I was thinking of changing the traits of one of my sims to kleptomaniac so he could acquire a few things for the household. I have a sim with the Born Salesman trait and the family doesn't consign much anymore, so he's a good candidate. But that sim just joined the Law Enforcement career, so giving him the kleptomaniac trait seems like a bad idea right now.

I'm not sure why I thought getting a dumpster would be a good idea. I guess I thought it might be interesting to see who autonomously digs through it and what they might find. I also couldn't find much else in town I wanted to steal permanently borrow for the household.

I only ever get the posters. My sims have found nice things while exploring the catacombs, like wohooium and pink diamonds, as well as high priced books.
The one and only klepto I ever had should steal acquire a parked space car once. Instead she decided, she really needed the street light right next to it.

Just assume that every edit I make is because of typos.

Ohhhh! There has been a parked space car at the Alchemy shop since my game started. Has anyone successfully "acquired" a space car as a klepto? I might need to change a trait just for that. :o

Just be sure there isn't a "Baby Aliens on Board" bumper sticker on that one or your sim might be getting more than they bargained for. Not to mention a visit from an angry Mama a short while later.

I used to see those all the time in my games. But not lately, dunno why. I've never tried to have a kleptomaniac try to steal one, but I have seen klepto sims steal cars in YT videos before.

I've played klepto sims extensively,it's a fun trait even though it's limited to random stuff three times a night. But it seems to me like sims get better stealing the more they do it,it took my sim two days to get Agnis' car at first but now cars are the first things she swiped.I've really wanted to try the Steal Your Neighbors House challenge.Kleptomaniac is one of my favorite traits.

That looks like an interesting challenge. Kind of similar to the dumpster diving game. I tried to have my klepto sim steal some slot machines from a casino I furnished, but there wasn't any option to steal anything. I don't know if that's because he was inside, it was a community lot, or if you just can't steal slot machines.
