On re-reading this, I realise that I've set my 100 baby challenge in the context of a planet-wide renovacy, so maybe this isn't such a bad place to post it after all
I am not sure where the story is headed from here, but it's intriguing. I hope you get another break soon.
Next chapter https://samelasstories.blogspot.com/2019/03/rillas-inheritance-chapter-16.html
and then there won't be another one up for a while! The pasting table, wallpaper, paint rollers and so on and so forth are taking precedence...as a treat, in between, I can clean up the plaster dust that is everywhere. But it's going to be worth it!!!!
Hope you have a great week
I've done a thing ..... it's small it's ultra simple ... and the lone road is not perfect; but it's a decent small world for sharing. It can be used for a renovation's, apocalypses, or to build your own town.
I'm a few days in now (still a little behind updating about it) and I'm really seeing the challenge of both renovating and tiny living. I usually build with no budget in mind, so it's been an interesting experience making every simoleon count. I am also used to playing with epic lifespans, so the time crunch is an added factor. So much to think about, great challenge @SamelaRita.
@Jessabeans Thanks! I'm so glad you're enjoying it I love the story so far, and Ciane's container is such a good starting point for making you think about What Happens Next? I found it really inspiring to play (memo to self: now the extension is finished - we had real builders in, and it's way messier than it is on the Sims - I must get back into that story and finish it) as it was such a thought-provoking beginning. Plus, I love Ciane's builds. Hope you have a good weekend
I'm glad that the extension is finished and you are in the clean up phase. I, of course, look forward to any pics you care to share and of course, the continuation of both the 100 baby and the container stories.
@Ciane It's §2,280 for a second shipping container, that's just walls and flooring without a door. I wish I had gone for the cheap walls instead of the corrugated metal. I tested the price because I worry my sim can only afford the container itself by the end of the week. I thought it would be no trouble getting it by the end of a sim week but it's playing out differently. I guess I should not have been so rigid with how I wanted her household to grow storywise, or managed her days better.
Anyway, I'm still really enjoying it. I think once I finish the challenge I will retry building a starting container lot, armed with the experience of actually starting out in one. I know it won't have sprinklers that touch decking, what a mess.
Just in case you are interested, @Jessabeans has updated through chapter 8 now.
@Mmdrgntobldrgn - Sorry I didn't comment here on your latest reno challenge. I'm still trying to finish the apoc challenge from earlier this year and you all know another gift exchange has started up already. So, I just don't have the time to explore anything new for awhile. I will of course follow his story.
I updated through the first day of Autumn, getting that second container was hard to afford. I'm struggling with sims time management with the shorter lifespan. It's lived up to the name 'challenge' for sure but I'm still really enjoying it. I'm dividing my simming time with the buddy exchange right now, so future updates about this challenge will be slower from me.

I didn't see that one coming! Always a sign of a good story, when it surprises you without thinking: where were the clues to that event? I love how each story turns out differently to the one before - and thanks for posting on this thread too so that the rest of us can keep up with it.
Thank you @SamelaRita, I hoped I left enough clues that events wouldn't feel out of place. I played a bit more over the weekend and updated it again today.
I changed course midway when I was making storylines, I have a handful of story ideas and families I have partially skilled for backstories I didn't end up using. They were scrapped because either too modern, tragic or fit an idea for a lot that wasn't working out at the time but I could likely pull off later with less of a time constraint. Anyway, would anyone be interested in me fleshing those out and uploading them later on this summer? I'm sure like me you have an over-abundance of renos you like to get to first, so it won't be soon.
Now that I have my gifts uploaded I'm going to be going back to playing, and hopefully sharing the stories. There are several from the gift exchange I'm looking to try out too once I finish up the ones I had already started. I thought I would be playing some of mine, but they are pretty far down my list now. Go figure.
@Jessabeans Definitely interested in you fleshing out your ideas and uploading them later! I'd love to see them/play them/be blown away by them...Usually I don't want to go home at the end of a holiday, but this time I've got so much to look forward to
