I did a "In Memoriam" chapter overviewing her life with links to everyone else's stories that will post the day the chapter she died in posts.

I got my Plum tree figured out! I am NOT happy with how the tree looks, though. Chester's daughters look like they're Elise's! Can anyone help me?

@Meggles I'm pretty sure you can't link two branches of one family in the tree. That's when I quit using mine in Drifter. I had two families that joined together and wanted to show each of their relationships to each other and how they joined and it wouldn't work. I know I asked about it and they said it wasn't a feature at the time. That was maybe a year ago?

Linking Trees
Linking trees allow you to show partners parents, partners siblings or if a sim in your tree is shown in another persons that you didn't create.

Because The Plum Tree only allows a single root per tree it means you can only show a single lineage and not the parents or siblings of a partner in your tree. However You can link people in one tree to where they show up in another. This means you can have two lineages in separate trees and link where they meet and thus showing parents and siblings of partners.

Before linking a tree note links will only go to published trees. Make sure the tree you are linking to is published, otherwise when the link is clicked you’ll end up on a blank page/tree.

First find out the tree Id for the tree you want to link to. You can find this in the URL when looking at the tree.

When editing a tree its everything after the last forward slash “/”. When looking at a published tree its everything after the last hash “#”.

Find the Id of the person you want to link to in the tree you want to link to.

You can do this by opening the details panel by clicking their avatar in the tree then clicking the information icon in the details panel will reveal this.

In the tree you want to link from find the person you want to link in the people list. Then in the "Actions" dropdown select "Link".
In the links list click "Add" and enter the link title, the tree Id from step 1 and the person Id from step 2 then hit save.
The persons avatar in the tree should now have the link icon visible. Click it and select the link you added to test it works. If it did you should be at the public tree at the point where the same person is in that tree.
