Cannot save game while your sims are traveling

So, I just hoped I retrieved a save that I thought was lost and my sims finally came back from France. Except this time around, I cannot save, because apparently my sims are still traveling altho they have returned from their trip a few hours ago. Any tips on how to fix this?

EDIT: I could save next time I reloaded it, thankfully. Still annoying though.

It may have to do with your computer specs as addressed to you in your other thread. It is a good idea to use save as option in stead of save. Save as will give you a new clean save. This way if you have a problem traveling you can go back to a prior save

We're still looking over the dxdiag here, and yes the usual mod combo of NRaas Traveler, ErrorTrap, and Overwatch is always recommended, but there are too many variables. Do travel and weather work better in known to be safer to play EA worlds? Not Isla P or Bridgeport, those have their own issues, I mean the more boring ones.
