Excessive dancing?!

Okay, so we've all heard of the excessive mourning, where all the sims want to do is go mourn their dead relatives. That's all fine and dandy because I have the urns in a locked mausoleum. However, ever since getting parenthood my sims are now excessively dancing. They will stop anything (and everything) that they're doing in order to go dance. Is there a cause for this or a way to fix it? It's quite frustrating.

I am sorry that this is occurring in your game .

If you have cc/mods in your game, move your mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and see if the issues are still there.

Repairing the game may help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.

Try resetting your sims 4 folder and see if that helps. To do that, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated. Exit the game and then copy back the "options.ini" or " options " file and the "saves" , "screenshots" "tray" "custom music " and "mods" folders from the desktop sims 4 folder to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new generated file/ folders with the old file/folders from the desktop sims 4 folder

I too have noticed excessive dancing! It's like every spare minute, they autonomously start dancing! I have no cc or mods in my game. I just did the nuclear repair yesterday, so it must be a bug!

I've seen some autonomous dancing when I played recently. Lol. They were random sims who were hanging out in a group while not socializing with my sim. They started dancing without music.

Sorry for the late response, I've had a crazy week with summer college classes. The bug persisted in a fresh game with no mods and reset folder.

I am sorry that tne dancimg issue continued in a new save game also.

This happens to me too only generally when there is a speaker on a community lot. The worst I've noticed is the flea market flash dancers. The only way to usually get them to stop for me is turning it off.

Ive noticed when Sims go to watch movie they wont sit but sy#tand in fron of TV and do a little dance, just a nice shoulder sway and two step!

I too have had this obsessive dancing, across many different households and save-games. I have a family of 7 and none of them have the Dance Machine trait, so its not that, but they all keep dancing as if they had this trait. :| I'm beginning to think their shoes are enchanted! LOL ;)

@rosemow, I would have to say yes, that it is happening across several/most of my households and save games. It is not the worst of the bugs in my game, but it is pretty prevalent. Thanks for replying! :)
