Removing default skin replacements

How do I proceed?

Do I simply remove the .package from my mods folder?
Will the game replace the skin tones with a close enough match?
Has anyone encountered bugs? Will this increase the chance of corrupting my game?

as for the rest, well that would all depend on who made it and how it was made

One strange thing I noticed is when I save my sim to my library the game will not recognize it has a default skin replacement.
By that I mean it will not indicate anywhere that there is custom content on the sim.

@VerdeeSimmer if you delete the .package file, it should not show up in your game.
