"Influence Their Interests"?

Just checking in since the pack's been out for nnnearly a full 12 hours now:

Has anyone found a way to actually influence a child from toddlerhood to young adulthood when it comes to what it is that they actually do? One thing I was super into in the trailers was the whole "they make a mess as a toddler and grow up to make amazing art as an adult", but I have seen nothing to influence this. Am I missing something? Or is this a case of "we didn't saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay that was in the game, we just insinuated it. Heavily."

Yep same here... After 10 hours of game play my sim is finally an adult and she has the irresponsible trait... She curses occasionally, and that's about it.

i think that quote is in reference to making a mess increasing the imagination/creativity skills for children and toddlers. not to any other direct influence.

I thought of that as a visual representation of what proper parenting can to do to your sims' children's lives. Unless there is a way to do that...
