Miss Peregrine makes an entry into her House Journal before retiring for the night.
"Hecate, Ceridwen, and Bastet are adjusting well to their new home.
They seem like such normal little girls that I tend to forget about their true natures.
Well, except for Hecate's blue skin, but that's how normal they seem."
"Meadow's face painting project slapped me back to the reality of our situation."
"Seeing the girls with cat whiskers quickly reminded me of the warnings from the authorities who rescued the girls from Dr. Magnanimous Von Orotund's secret lab."
"'Secret lab' being his basement.
His illegal experiments with cat/human genetic manipulation and cloning were exposed by the abnormally loud meowing coming from the girls shut away in his basement. The neighbors eventually caught on."
"I was warned that there could be surprising transformations in the girls by the time they reach puberty. This is due to the metamorphical nature of Dr. Von Orotund's experiments.":
"It wasn't just cat and human DNA in his experiments.
He also included alien DNA. How he acquired samples of alien DNA is beyond me. I've heard rumors of aliens, and even seen strange things in the sky, but I was never sure of their actual existence on the planet."
"This is the reason Hecate is blue and why they believe there could be physical changes in their future.
Apparently aliens have the ability to morph their physical appearance. The girls do have vestigial cat structures on their bodies--namely for ears and a tail. We have hidden their ears within twists of their hair. Fortunately their tails are stunted and out of sight. I am concerned that they might actually grow into full features."
"I need to prepare for this possibility."
"I should introduce them to other children in the hope that strong bonding friendships flourish. These children could be their support group if the changes do occur. It could be the key to the girl's acceptance in our society and their own mental stability."
"Ugh, there is that creepy feeling again. It always sends a chill down my spine."
"Meadow insists that we have a ghost."
"I have yet to see any evidence of any such thing. Perhaps Meadow's past associations with the paranormal is excercising my imagination."
"Then again, Meadow figured out the Hecate's, Ceridwen's, and Bastet's secret quick enough.
If she insists there is a ghost, then there is probably a ghost haunting the house. She is a sharp cookie."
I have not explored Brindleton Bay at all, so placing new sims here will give me the opportunity.
Ling finally enters the game with her mother and father.
The game proceeds to age her up immediately.
Nooooo!
Back to a toddler, please.
She was stuck with a Missed My Birthday sadness moodlet:
Ling has the Inquisitive trait.
James Chen is going to be an entertainer while Grace Chen will be a tech guru.
I had Ling wander around a lot to raise her movement skill. It wasn't long before she was hungry and tired.
In the morning a notice for the flea market festive popped up.
Why not? I haven't had sims go to one in a while and they could probably pick up some furniture.
They bought a purple Pillow Fluff pouf chair for Ling.
She can use that sit on while she eats.
Toddler rubber faces are worse than the crazed smile that older sims have.
James does seem like the sport types.
I think I will have him do sports activities in his free time.
Oh, no playing in the street!
I miss the old salt house back there. Or rather the new, old salt house.
I don't think it will be used again until all my toddlers grow up and graduate from University.
Then I will probably put in a houseful of grads until they pair up and get married.
Look who's dancing.
Wow, her eyes are big.
I will probably catch James performing here when I am not playing their household.
They are really cute when they are not doing the rubber face thing.
And that's it for the day.
I only wanted to get the Chen family set up in the game.
I will play them later after I have progressed Miss Peregrine's home a little more.
I am very happy to get Olivia's family established as well.
Her parents are Roger and Ann Banks.
Olivia has the Clingy trait.
Both parents have business careers.
There will be no more crazy brows in my game.
I replaced the mod that was causing this.
You are safe now Mayor Whiskers.
You can hold your head high because no one will laugh at you anymore.
Olivia and family have already moved out of this house into a nicer one.
Her parents are both good looking, but I think most of Olivia's looks come from her dad.
To jog some memories, here is Melonie from my other save where she is a young adult.
Today, Melonie, the toddler, Bloom is aging up to a child.
And I am very glad to be finally progressing more of my sims.
I think her mother is applying her parenting skills here.
I can see her young adult self in that face.
Unlike her mom, Melonie is not squeamish about searching for frogs.
Meadow Thayer?
Ok, I have got to stop using styled outfits so much.
It's only natural that their identical clothing will help them strike up a conversation with each other.
Good, a new friend for Melonie.
Meadow is very busy though and has to run, but she does invite Melonie over to the Peregrine house,
according to Mrs. Peregrine's plan to give the cat girls supporting friends early in life.
I do intend for Melonie to go after the Doctor career again.
I am glad she has this toy.
Oops, she walked in on the parents at work creating her sibling.
I sent Melonie and her mom to visit the Peregrine house the next day.
I think Miss Peregrine could use a new friend, why not?
This is the only world the toddlers know, so visitors should be exciting for them.
Meadow was going through some negative emotions.
Melonie helped her out with that.
But she is really here to meet the cat girls.
Jennifer is also here to harvest some fruit for her own garden.
"Hello, Bastet!"
They are so cute.
I will have Jennifer help out in return for the blue berries and grow fruit she has harvested.
None of the expensive fruit are available for harvest unfortunately.
I look forward to more of my sims aging up so they can interact.
Where are your clothes, Zane?
He must have been swimming in the pond.
The blueberries should help with the household funds.
Jennifer isn't working until the second baby becomes a child.
Merry Christmas and a happy new year, Simmers.
My sims are not celebrating because, well... Seasons.
But for the first time in The Sims 4, I am counting down my top simming moments of 2017
Actually my simming time was hit hard by long work schedules and distractions by playing The Sims 3, Skyrim, Mass Effect 3 and Mass Effect Andromeda.
However, 2017 is the year The Sims 4 finally took off for me.
The Death and Birth of my Simming Moments thread.
2017 is the year The sims 4 took off for me. My Simming Moments thread that was created at the launch of the game was filled with complaints, restarts, and game play that was not normal for me. When we got Toddlers and Parenthood, I felt the thread should be archived and started anew.
#9 to #1:
Since I was digging deep into TS4 again with all my favorite sims, I was ready to do some serious rotational play, I created this little tool to track when I was ready to move on to the next stage of play.
I had been dabbling around with all my immortal young adults living in San Myshuno, but it got really interesting when I put in Meadow Thayer.
I had her living in the city and working in Social Media career. She was investigating the cat girls from Windenburg she has seen touring the city and was going to write about them.
Nothing is sacred in my Game.
I haven't bothered the Goths much... until now. I experimented on them with makeovers.
I think I went easy on them though.
At least they are still recognizable.
Now I want to play them.
I will probably work them into my rotation.
I wonder if I might have Cassandra experiment with vampirism.
She could use the experience for her memoir: I Was A Teenage Vampire.
The Vampires Game Pack is not in my top ten because I have yet to play it fully, but I will.
This is only here because it relates to my number one. Toddlers are the starting point of my current game play scenario and I liked having the extra content.
To be honest, pets are not a big feature for me. I was interested primarily in the new world and having another career.
But I do plan on trying out a scenario I have been thinking about.
I had decided to build a replacement for my old computer several years earlier than expected for quite a few reasons.
The Sims 4 wasn't one of them since it really doesn't need a more powerful machine, but fast load times and saving are even faster now.
Liquid cooled CPU and GPU, M.2 NVME SSDs, Windows 10, and a virtual reality headset is making for some fun gaming.
Parenthood is half the reason why I am back into playing TS4 now. I haven't gotten deep into yet, as most of my sims are still toddlers so values, science projects, curfew, grounding, and phases are just getting started.
The other reason why I am back to playing The Sims 4 because I could not stand full grown children jumping out of the baby bassinet. Best toddlers ever! 'nuf said.
For the majority of the time I have been playing The Sims 4, I have been playing the same never aging young adults. They never married or became involved in deep relationships. They merely explored the content in new packs.
And played around with custom content.
But now that we had toddlers and Parenthood, I started my game over again.
I've started all favorite sims over by aging them all down to toddlers.
My supernatural sims are being raised as toddlers in an orphanage.
My normal sims have been given parents and are scattered around the various worlds.
Ha ha! I have always enjoyed your stories and you beautiful sims. You sold me on many sims 3 packs and got me hooked on NRaas mods. I am hoping you can bring the love to sims 4. I agree that these toddlers are the best yet and have made such an impact on my game.
I am intrigued by your rotation helper. I am assuming it keeps track of the ages of your sims as you rotate to different families.

@suzanna13
Hi There!
Yeah. I am using Meadow as the main marker since she went in first.
I can look at how many days she is into her stage and see where everyone else needs to be at that time.
I also have other pages for sim profiles.
I have so many sims that I could become lost when I get a pop-up to pick a trait on their birthday.
I also list what values I want them to have and what activities I need to perform to achieve those values. It's a lot to remember so a list helps.
Story arcs is where I record ideas for little story snippets that I want to play out in this thread.
It helps immerse me into the game. Meadow painting cat whiskers on the girls was one of those ideas.
@CK213 I always love your sims and your style of playing. I may end up making a thread of my own eventually. Nothing is scared in my game either.
Hi, SikoahGrace
You should try it. I have done it for TS3, but I think it's even more helpful for TS4 as you need to be more proactive in making things happen.
-Risk/Reward/
-Social dynamics for compatible/incompatible traits
-Enemies/Rivals for affection
-Long term cause/effect choice scenarios
And other things that just don't occur in the game need help from your imagination. Having a place to record the evidence makes it a little more real.
I'm very impressed with your spreadsheet! I wish I was that organised... though I do have a little notebook where I scribble down details of the various challenges, and their generational goals, that I'm doing, and tick them off when I've accomplished them - all very low tech
I'm hoping beyond hope that 2018 is the Year That Brings Us Seasons... I recall that you're waiting for a University-type EP? That would be awesome too...

These My Sims collectables have been sitting around in inventories for quite awhile until I realized I had the perfect display for Meadow to show them off.
Meadow has a new responsibility.
Being totally irresponsible.
I forgot that she was supposed to grow up to be a bit irresponsible, for that was how I was playing her young adult self.
Now I have to work off that full responsibility meter.
Zane can help clean up after her since he is supposed to be the responsible one.
Bastet is doing her happy dance.
Because they are celebrating birthdays today.
Which of course means cake.
Hecate has already had her turn, now Ceridwen has a go at the candles.
Bored.
An unfortunate side affect of aging my sims down is they still retain their young adult traits.
These girls are still dance machines and get bored if they don't do enough dancing.
Your turn, Bastet.
Ceridwen passes on the cake and goes for some meat.
This was an adorable phase of their life, but I am glad to be moving on.
Hmm...
Bastet was the cute one as toddlers.
But I think the crown of cuteness may have been passed on to Hecate.
Now Meadow has three more playmates.
She notices something about Bastet.
[Gasp!]
"Bastet! Stand up! Stand Up!"
"Your Eyes!"
"What about my eyes?"
"They've changed!
You have cat eyes now."
"I bet Ceridwen and Hecate have the same. Why don't you go make a fuss over them."
"But this is so exciting. No one else on the planet has eyes like yours, well, other than cats."
Miss Peregrine is speechless.
She didn't expect such changes this early.
"They’re so shiny, like diamonds. Pretty kitty eyes."
"I'm not your pet, ya know!
I'm a person!"
"I'm sorry, Bastet. I didn't mean anything by it. We're sisters."
"Fine. Just stop making a fuss, ok?"
I think these two need to room together.
A change of living quarters is in order.
Someone is after Hecate's crown of cuteness.
No more toddlers.
I think it's time for some new arrivals.
No need to worry about them.
They're as thick as thieves... uh, pirates.
Awesome update! I love the story of the nefarious doctor with the lab in his basement...what a name, lol. But then it's your creativity that I admire. Fantastic pictures!
Happy New Year to you and your families, sims and irl.
In my house, dog hair sticks to everything but the dog.

Hey!
Happy New Year... 12 days later.
I haven't had much time to play lately, but I have caught up on The Game of Thrones finally.
Honestly, I am in no rush to play my sims because I know University is a long way away.
I am looking forward to Laundry Day though.
Umm..., not the real thing--laundry of the simming kind.
OT, yeah this year is final season of GoT...one of most favorite TV shows, that and Outlander, which is historical fiction, a particular favorite of mine.
Back on topic, yup I too am waiting for Seasons and Uni, but until that time my Holly Morganstern is my lil hippie and can't wait for Laundry Day.
In my house, dog hair sticks to everything but the dog.
! wasn't here at all. Now I'm catching up on notifications and friend's news.
Now it's my turn.
I haven't had much time for playing at all. I think I will do some playing this weekend.
I would like to advance my sims now. Uni is still so far away, but I am thinking of having Miss Peregrine take her wards out for an educational adventure.
I haven't used the puppet show object seriously, so I gave it a try today.
Hecate had a wish to stargaze with Zane.
Meadow and Bastet are still ditching school together.

The creators of the GoT tv show has just signed on with Disney to make a new Star Wars trilogy.
Perhaps it could be a tv series since that is what they are known for.
This story made me interested in reading Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children. I had seen the movie and found it interesting the difference between the book and movie. I really enjoy your story.
Ok this was a surprise when it was announced.
I swear I remember a SimGuru saying that another World Adventures type pack was not being considered.
I haven't commented on the Jungle Adventure game pack because I haven't been feeling the need for it, considering that all my sims are toddlers now and I really want a University pack for when they grow up. Going on a jungle adventures seemed like something I would not be doing for a year or two.
But I did hit upon the idea of Miss Peregrine taking her wards out for a cultural education.
So now I am a little excited for the Jungle Adventure pack. I am sending my sims out for a little camping trip in order to prepare them for their grand adventure.
This story made me interested in reading Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children. I had seen the movie and found it interesting the difference between the book and movie. I really enjoy your story.
I should check out the book too.
I am currently reading Star Wars stories, trying to fill in the gaps created by the new movies.
Yay, so glad you'll be going to Selvadorda...you and the kiddies will love it. Take lots of insect repellent, lol.
It's a bit depressing that I have no time to play.
Right now I am having a trial run by using an old save where Olivia was a young adult.
I think it's better to know what I am in for so I can make the most of playing Miss Peregrine's household.
This is such a cute and clever idea, CK. I've been lowkey following this thread and some of your old ones from the TS3 day back when I was around them, so I love seeing Meadow and Melonie again! And this is a wonderful way to watch them grow all over again.

No need to worry about them.
They're as thick as thieves... uh, pirates.
Happy New Year to you and your families, sims and irl.
Back on topic, yup I too am waiting for Seasons and Uni, but until that time my Holly Morganstern is my lil hippie and can't wait for Laundry Day.
! wasn't here at all.
I need to get their responsibility values down.
The creators of the GoT tv show has just signed on with Disney to make a new Star Wars trilogy.
Perhaps it could be a tv series since that is what they are known for.
"Where's Meadow?"
I should check out the book too.
I am currently reading Star Wars stories, trying to fill in the gaps created by the new movies.
It's a bit depressing that I have no time to play.
Right now I am having a trial run by using an old save where Olivia was a young adult.
I think it's better to know what I am in for so I can make the most of playing Miss Peregrine's household.
