STORY PROGRESSION AND AGING

I really liked the Story Progression and Aging options. The Story Progression enables your Sim’s friends and neighbours to move to a different houSe, and get married and have kids and and hence you are not stuck with the same Sim characters and keep seeing the same Sim characters in your neighbourhood like in Sims 2.

I liked the fact that you can CHOOSE TO ENABLE OR DISABLE Story Progression. While playing Sims 3, i have enabled and disabled that option but i prefer to disable Story Progression. There was one time when I enabled Story Progression and I was controlling a female Sim and wanted her to marry this male Sim. Then i switched ACTIVE households because I wanted to play another Sim family. When i switched back to the household with that female Sim, i found out her boyfriend was “Partners” with another girl and this is due to story progression. In Sims 2 there is no story progression so you do not have to worry about your sim character moving to a new place or having kids all by herself or having changes to her life without your knowledge.

In Sims 2 there is no option in the options window to stop the aging process but in Sims 3 there is an aging option. However, I have always used cheat codes when playing Sims 2 and I used the cheat code called “aging off” so that the Sims in Sims 2 won’t age. So it can be said that there is a Aging option in Sims 2 in the form of a cheat code which you can find in the internet. I also used those cheat codes to maximise their needs and froze their needs so that their needs would not decrease and so that i don’t have to worry about getting the Sim to eat, go to toilet, shower, etc and I used the cheat codes to give my sims in Sims 2 money and i maximised their skill levels.

However in Sims 3, so far i can give money to my Sims and fulfil all the need levels to a maximum but i can’t freeze the needs hence the the need levels keep falling and I have to keep sliding the bars to keep them to a maximum. In Sims 3 I also cannot maximise the Sims skill levels !! This sucks! In Sims 3 it takes so long to maximise the Sims’ skill !!!
