Honestly, I've found that video files will corrupt easily and will not be read on PC, but as soon as I transfered the files over to my Macbook, they worked perfectly. I believe it all has to do with how Windows is feeling that day :P

Awesome hint, @Whovian97 ! But...I don't have a Mac, and haven't touched one since 1995, when I graduated from college
(Oddly enough, it is my operating system of choice, but I can't afford a decent Mac!)
Hi you may be using software that is not recording in MP4 format. Are you using OBS?
I agree with this. @911TruthBear You'd have a much better video quality with something like OBS.
Personally, I rather use Fraps for raw capture, and I convert to a reasonable bitrate with Handbrake.

So, @Candyd , if I understand correctly, you don't use the video capture feature in the game?

@911TruthBear I never use it. You can't capture with a decent video quality if you use compression, and uncompressed capture makes the game laggy. And my game is already laggy without video capture so it's almost unplayable with inbuilt video capture. Software like OBS and Fraps allow to capture video with very minimal compression or even without, so you can compress as you wish with software like Handbrake after, and you can capture with minimal lag in game as well. https://obsproject.com/ fraps.com/
