    I've been getting Last Exceptions whenever you click on the sims and try to open the Expansion cheats menu. The menu will not even pop up. Deaderpool mentioned this on his Patreon page and that it is related to the game option of opting out of fame. Suggested fix is to uncheck the option, but when I tried, it didn't make a difference.

    MCCC 2023.7.1 is cleared for use with patch v.1.103.315, released DEC 14, 2023.

    After this EA update no errors have been reported so far.
    Everything seems to work as expected.

    i do have latest version. Took the mod out and now the mc menu comes up when click on the sim.

    Okay, I have continued to "investigate" and tested a few things:

    Putting Cleaner's "Clean culled Sims" on will break my family tree, even if I have "Bypass Family Ghosts" enabled. Apparently I should flag every ghost in the tree to not be deleted before cleaning. I'm not sure if I'm able, because they have been gone and in the netherworld for long time.

    Also, "Clean culled Sims" does not remove my original problem: the ghost households from hidden households, because they are not in the netherworld/culled yet.

    And I think this is the problem: my game does not cull/send the sims to the netherworld automatically at the moment. I have already known this for played Sims. If my Sim dies, I only have to "strengthen the connection" (or something like that) once. After that the ghost will stay in the game. It should ask me to do it again after 90 days and if not done, it will send the ghost to the netherworld automatically. But now I realised this is the case with non-played ghosts too: they stay in the world and are not automatically culled after 90 days. Also I can't release them to netherworld myself, because there are no gravestones for them. So they stay in the hidden households (unless I unhide them and remove from household manager).

    So my new question is: Does MCCC do something to EA (ghost) culling? I tried to search for a setting that could stop/interfere ghost culling but didn't find anything yet.

    Just trying to differ if this problem is something to do with MCCC (or maybe other mods) or is my culling otherwise bugged. If anyone has any knowledge to share, please do! Or if you know what would be a better place to ask these questions, please share that, too.

    What options prevent sims living in neighborhood from marrying homeless sims or having kids with them?

    Try these settings from an ingame computer's MCCC menu or type "mc_settings" in the command line (CTRL ALT C):

    Computer:MCCC > MC Pregnancy > Marriage Sim Selection > Bypass Played Households
    Bypasses any household flagged as a 'Played Household' in the Manage Households screen so it will not be used for marriages. If this is false, only the active household will be bypassed.

    Try this command from a sim's MCCC menu:
    Sim:MCCC > Sim Commands > Maintain Sim > Move Sim...

    There are several options there that allow you to move a sim into another household, the active household or to create a new hosehold for the sim.

    @Bonxie I went back into my game after the above statement from me. I decided that since her paternal uncles (three of them) live together in a household, that Aaron (who showed up on the list of households open to her) this was where I would place her. I then went back to have her identical twin sister do the same. With the idea that since that household would only then make five on the lot, I should be able to split them off into their own household. By the way I still didn't see that as an option via MCCC. I checked the uncles' household so that I could move the girls into their property, as live-in owners.

    I'm bringing this up to you, because while Melodie showed up in her uncles' household, Harmony was nowhere to be seen. This after some hesitation by the game mechanics. First, Melodie slowly disappeared and then Harmony faded away, just as her sister did. I went back to see just where she went. To my shock and horror, Harmony wasn't in her father's household where she started. Worse, yet the Toddler youngest child was also gone. I kept looking at the game UI, the images of those in the household. Both of these Sims were NOWHERE! This method doesn't work, I'm so sorry to say.

    Now, I have a habit of always doing a Save As, per gaming session, so that if dumb stuff happens (and trust me I have just about seen it all), I can roll back to more pleasant times, if you will. That's what I did yesterday. I rolled back and now I have both twins and the baby. What was really surprising to me, is that the game took two human Sims over the three horses when they culled the overage. :open_mouth:

    If you wish, I'll take this problem to Deaderpool's Discord. I don't know, for certain, if I did something incorrectly, but I selected one of the TWO options, which was to place the first twin with her uncles. I immediately went back to place the second twin, that she was nowhere. ::Sadness:: They are now going to have to be content to be distant owners.

    A word of caution: I'm now getting the sense my over 8-Sim household must remain intact forever.

    I found her under "Other households" , for my surprise. I first thought she disappeared as I did not find her from played households.

    just my two pennies... (and yes not patched , so I use version of MCCC before the latest patch)

    Thank you so much for the helping hand. It's great to see such support. I'm afraid the Move to New Household didn't show up as an option for me, sadly. And Melodie actually ended up in the other Cantrell household (her three uncles). Harmony was the one who wasn't anywhere. I looked but didn't find. I've since rolled back a save to restore things as they were.

    On a different post, it's been suggested I use the cheat join family, But I will have to do it from her uncle's side of things. He'll have to invite her to join his family, which apparently won't disturb the rest of her family ties. I will try that one today.
