Here's a dumb question I haven't been able to find an answer to.
The "Population_OpenHouses" setting is described as "how many lots in the world should we leave unoccupied", but what does "the world" refer to? Just a single map screen (e.g. Willow Creek) or all maps combined?
If I set it to e.g. 5, does that mean I will have 5 open houses in each world (e.g. Willow Creek) or 5 across all worlds combined?
Regarding this setting "the world" is the sum of all available maps in your game.

I'm still having an issue with setting age in age span and It's still happening in 2023.5.0. What ever number I put in the dialogue box the sim's green bar doesn't go all the way up, even if i put the max number in. Any number i put in the dialogue box, the sim's green bar goes down instead of up.
Edit: I figured out what it was. When setting age in current age span on long life span, any number between 0 and the max number doesn't register and sims age down instead of up. When setting age in current age span on normal and short life spans this works as normal.

I'm no expert, but sometimes they can mean a mod you're using is out-of-date.

If you got the orange error message, stating that MCCC has captured a last exception error in your game, this is something you should take care of. It means that something is wrong in your game, and luckily I can say it's hardly MCCC which is wrong. It's like your smart phone tells you that you got a mail. That mail is certainly not from your smart phone itself, it only tells you that you got one from someone who knows your email address. Same with that error: MCCC tells you, that your game encountered one, but in 99,9% of all cases it's not an MCCC error.
It's almost always one ore more outdated mods which aren't compatible to the patch level of your game. The game is usually updated by EA automatically, your mods most probably not. So you have to take care of the mods you use to prevent those errors. You should take this serious because broken mods can damage your game, even if it looks like everything is working as expected. Worst case is that your savegame is corrupted and you loose all the progress you made with this save.
If you would look at that error messge, you would see that it tells you almost the same. Don't close it, just read it the next time. We created that message to tell you what's going on and what could be the next step to solve the issue.

I recently enabled the death on lot option, and I was wondering does that mean if a Sim is about to die, they will do so on their own lot (which means I could recover the urn), or does that mean any and all dying Sims will make their way to my active lot wherein this setting was enabled? Is it tied to the computer on the lot, let's say?
I'm just curious because the Sim in question just showed up to my active lot and I didn't know if this was a gift from the game, (I have mortem and my active Sim would need to report a death) or if I should disable death on lot again before my active Sims get overrun?

So having my Sim show up at the active lot was more or less a 'gift' the game gave me. Thanks. I was trying to figure out a way to send my active Sim to the lot where the Sim had run out of days, just so he could serve as the Executor for him. As it stands, things have worked out in my favor. With Mortem. the Reaper doesn't show up. The Medical Examiner does. There will be a funeral.
