2 Questions about CC

Hello Simmers,
I have two questions about CC that I hope someone can help me with
1. Sometimes when I find some awesome CC and download it I get two files - one "NO-HQ"-file and one "HQ"-file. From what I have read the HQ-file is not for gameplay but rather for taking pics of your sims. Am I right about that?
So if I want that CC in my game I can just delete the HQ-file and everything will (hopefully) work just fine?

2. When it comes to skins, I feel totally lost What is the difference between a skin and a overlay skin? Can I have both in my game at the same time? Can I have several different? Does the bear poop in the wood?

I would be immensely grateful for all the help I can get on these questions since I am a bit of a noob when it comes to CC's that aren't just a couple of nice dresses or a cool hairdo

Hi @orlyonok You have the right of it with your understanding of HQ. So long as your CC ends with .package, you will be fine.

I'm unsure if this will be helpful, but there is a mod out there that is HQ. . . . for High Quality or HQ cc. . . .
