Lyra is so innocent yet so knowledgeable. I really like her voice! Poor Anders still affected by what happened with Ham so long ago. Hopefully he will be able to help his Granddaughter.
@haswh It's a very different type of innocence from Velvet's somehow! She's very clever and quick to pick up on things, despite being a...fish out of water. (Sorry! LOL.)
Anders may spend a lot of time dwelling on the negatives of being a vampire, but eternal youth has its positives too.
Ha, I've heard various impressions as to what Lyra's accent could be closest to! I don't make any direct comparisons though--I like letting people "hear" whatever comes to mind naturally.
This love square is becoming so deliciously petty and fun We’ve caught a glimpse of Cosette and Xan getting closer (while still being incredibly jealous hehe), hoping we will see the same Monday with Rosaline and Rowan... Then eager to see what events will unfold to push the opposite pairings back together (hehe we know it’s gotta happen sooner or later!) Let the shipping rollercoaster ride begin! (okay, it kinda already has, but I’m ready for more loops and twists And hopefully it won’t crash and go off the rails by the end )
PS: but on a serious note, it does make me really sad to see at the end there how much this has damaged Xan and Rowan’s relationship They seemed pretty close before (even talking about chest-fruits together, apparently? ) That’s the part of the love square I’m dreading... how badly this is probably gonna ruin things between those two, and the sisters too... Can’t they all just join Xan’s harem together and call it good

Very well executed, this chapter! The strutting up and down in front of the other couple, talking in loud voices about how awesome their own relationship is, is so very classically adolescent. Made me laugh from start to finish, so Cosette got just an edge on Lyra in the GlacierSnow Favorites Contest this round.

Typical teenagers trying to make each other jealous! But I wonder if Cosette is really happy or any of them for that matter. This will be a fun ride to see how this all pans out!

I think the teen arc is coming out so well in this gen because you are more fully invested in it as its own story, instead of just as a step on the way to them becoming adults. I'm loving it!

I am hooked here to see how things play out between Anders and Hamlet. Clearly still some baggage that Anders is carrying around there.

Cosette still has time to get to the first place again, because we don't hear from Lyra very often. lol. Excited to see what's next.
And Cosette acts prettttty immature next chapter, so Lyra may swim into first place without a problem.
I mean just look at when he administered it to her mother, she later became a mermaid.
