@crushorange -- here is the link to the challenge thread. Lots of challenge players, simlit writers and just a great group of very active players. I think you will like it!
I have so many other builds to still do and brainstorm, but I will keep Murkland in mind - maybe something will spark in my process of thinking and a Murk will call out for a build. I love anything apocalyptic, I'd be scared plum if it happened irl, but I love them.

If you love to build, Nukecrest might be the place for you. Nukecrest used to be called Newcrest, but now it's the neighboring city of Murkland and simmers are building that up on their own, as they like... You can #Nukecrest in the gallery to see what is going on there.

Have you ever played 7dtd? I can only imagine your builds in that game.

I will link it just case anyone else is interested too 7 Days to Die I played since early alpha and it just evolved and has gotten better, it is a builders/crafting/zombie-loving/apocalypse dream game. You can play local, host or join other server games, there are pve and pvp servers as well. Extremely fun game, my spouse and gamer buddies built countless forts, homes while fortifying them from horde night (aka 7th day night horde) and other players (you can completely go pve not need to pvp at all in this game). It is a bit pricey, but the endless hours I played it more than sims paid off for me.
Oh also they will be adding more npcs into the game, currently there is only an npc vendor. There will be npc looters and faction thugs in the works for future releases. I'm constantly stalking their dev blog for updates, we even bought a separate computer just to run our own server on.

Placed at Rio Verde, the Murkland Mercantile Co. provides the utilities and stocked coolers around town. They also have a store loaded with hard to find produce, furniture, décor, and even premade food. If you want pizza, ice cream, artisan bread or zombie cake – this is your destination. The Salamanders household owns the property and has marked the price up 100 percent. Facilities are for paying customers. Lock the kitchen for employees only.
Murkland Mercantile Compant is a very nice store for Murkland ! Very nice exterior design of the building, and the outdoors areas look great! The wire fencing on the edges of the build looks effective! The wire entrance doors look great! It is great that there the store sells furniture and other items both inside the store as well as indoors. Very nice layout of the interior of the store. It is very nice that sims can buy food items from the glass display cabinet and books to enjoy reading. It looks great how the books are in display, and the wall shelves with the produce items on them looks very great! Sims will like buying their beds, tents, filing cabinets, lantern lamps, candles and wooden seating from the store. There is such a nice variety of items both inside and outdoors for sims to enjoy purchasing! The way that they are displayed looks great! The wall and flooring textures suits the type of world, where it is located.
It is a creatively designed and very nice store for Murkland residents to purchase supplied from!
Each and every one of your Murkland creations are superbly designed and unique. Murkland Mercantile Company is no exception, a fantastic store for the awesome Murkland
Placed at Arid Ridge, Puffer Dome is owned my Mad Mud, the leader of the faction that bears his name. Mad Mudders must come here once a week for the thrill of eating bad pufferfish and for the bragging rights that come with surviving the meal! Please use the restaurant quality cheat to set the quality to “Grade F” once you have Mad Mud purchase the restaurant. Pairs with Mad Mud and Mad Mud’s Abode
Puffer Dome is a very creative restaurant! Sims will need to be very adventurous to eat the pufferfish there, especially with the restaurant quality set low! Very nice exterior design of the venue! The globe looks great as the dome roofing! The enlatged skulls and branches coming out of them look great! Nice eating picnic tables eatung area. The candles in the tables and patio lamp heaters between the tables are a nice touch. The tanks and piping looks great how they are used in the build! The display of pufferfish looks great!
Sims will need to be a little wary of dining at the restaurant!
