After aging a toddler to a child the child will not go upstairs. They do the 'there's something in my way' action but nothing is in the way and the parents go upstairs fine. Any suggestions?
Work around which was having the child/teenager go to a community lot and have them go up the stairs there then travel home and it works did indeed fix it.
I had this happen too w/my very first toddler who had maxed out all of the skills at Level 5. Fortunately I play w/MCC and UI Extensions mods in my game and kept the toddler's needs all green while I figured out what to do.
I ended up saving the game and going to Manage Worlds and then re-entered the home. My new child was then able to walk up and down the stairs w/out any problems. The funny part about this situation was that every adult and sibling child kept going up and down the stairs when I was repeatedly directing the new child to go up the stairs. The husband's parents were visiting and it looked really funny to see everyone else using the stairs suddenly as if it was a new feat for everyone.
