I went to the flea market, took the kids along. They had toys in their inventory, so entertained themselves. I put my sim parents int he detective and social media careers, too, so they have more incentive to socialize with other adults.
Lol this makes me slighly mad but the pizza delivery guy just invited himself into my home and grabbed a bite to eat out of my fridge after breaking my bathroom sink
I only just started playing again and have only rebuilt the one starter area in Willow Creek. I placed 3 houses, 1 park, and 1 flea market area. Both community lots have toddler activities on them. So I tend to send my parents out to those places mostly, first because they're toddler ready and second, because they're easiest to navigate to. They really can't stay out long, though. I just view these couple of days as the hard times in life where you are kind of locked down by your kids. I finally got my first toddler to age up so I'm looking forward to having a variety of ages.

Good idea. The only EP i have is get together. So for right now i just might make some new friends for my sims and invite them out to get a much needed break from the kids.
My main family hasn't been out in a very long time, since they got their first child (now they have 3) they have been so busy with two careers and taking care of their children.
I had my sims take their daughter to the park, the spice festival, and even to the gym. lol I'm going to have to edit some lots to make them more toddler friendly though.
@JRBear that's a good idea, to put toys in their inventory.
Mine have been to the park. My toddler is clingy so I thought she would want to be right by her parents the whole time but she didn't seem to care. She played with a dolls house while they both went on the water slide. I plan on taking them to the library next, as I have made a fun kids room there.
I made a toddler play area in the dessert park, so took my whole family there. dad was the only one I sent home because he was exhausted. I put toddler beds in the play area under a tree.
Yeah, I take my toddlers out every day. I play that way without kids/toddlers anyway. I just bring them along and let them play with their toys from their inventories etc. I also make sure they have a stack of apples or something to eat too as this gives them the Happy+1 4hr moodlet.
I'm a girl who likes to play with boys, what can I say...

Lol, no my Sim can't get a break long enough to do anything. lol The kids get out Go find food in a park next door, or go find out what something is, but no, the parent hasn't learned how to cook, or has any skills. Toddlers 24/7 lol

I left toddler at home with a babysitter so my Sims can have some fun at the karaoke! But I'm looking for some venues more family-oriented on the gallery
my poor sims barley had time. He is a stay at home parent while his husband works as a secret agent so he always has to get ready for work. Though he tried to help out. It got harder as Hyesung got closer to his third trimester, both the toddler and him were worn out XD. Taking care of a pregnant sim and toddler is rough. I want to try a festival but every time its either my sim suffering from hunger and fatigue, and the toddler tired or hungry for food.
So the only fun thing they get to do is Woohoo once in awhile when the toddler is asleep.
My sims had twins and they both work jobs so they have their hands full! They barely have any time to do their usual hobbies or socialising with friends, let alone going to another lot! Maybe I will send them out more once I have added toddler items to certain venues. At the moment I've been too busy playing to do any building.
I feel like the great thing about City Living is that when you live in the apartments, it's more like an open neighbourhood in a way that you can just walk down to the flea market (for example) without having a loading screen, so I've been living in San Myshuno non-stop to get this feel, but otherwise I am home-bound because I just cant be bothered with loading screens on my laptop
I have to admit my sims have been housebound lately...I don't want to leave the house and miss precious time with my toddler lol the caregiver doesn't really get much free time anyway if you want to teach the toddler everything and be a good parent. So what do my sims do for fun? This is my secret: I have the parents woohoo at the end of the day (I don't care if they're exhausted but it fills the fun bar completely and it takes way less time than watching TV lol)
Ive only had toddlers in Willow Creek but I need to try in San Myshuno...the semi open world will surely help.
