Toddler Can't Bathe «1234...Next Go

I've been trying to give my toddler a bath and my parent will put her in the tub and then take her immediately back out. I've tried different tubs and the other parent and I reset my toddler, but still can't give her a bath. I gave up and just cheated her needs, but it keeps happening.

Same thing is happening to me. It's weird because it originally worked and now it isn't working.

If you have cc/mods in your game, move your mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and see if the issues are still there. If it has helped with the issues, put your mods/ CC back into the newly generated mods folder that is in the sims 4 folder one by one or in batches and testing after each one to see which is the causes of the problem.

If the issues still remain, repairing the game may help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.

Try resetting your sims 4 folder and see if that helps. To do that, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated. Exit the game and then copy back the "options.ini" or " options " file and the "saves" , "screenshots" "tray" "custom music " and "mods" folders from the desktop sims 4 folder to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new generated file/ folders with the old file/folders from the desktop sims 4 folder

Try repairing the game and resetting the sims 4 folder like I suggested in the above post and see if that helps with the issues.

I read it as toddler can't breathe, almost had a heart attack.

As for the bathing issue, sometimes it has to do with not enough room for the sims to use the tub even though they clearly do, they can be picky, so if you have a 2 x 3 bathroom or vise versa small bathroom and sims can physically get to it, sometimes they need that extra space for it to work properly. Might also be a lot issue as opposed to an issue with the sim, so either bulldoze the lot and place a new one and see if that works, or move out the family and then into a different lot. This issue can happen a lot when playing a family for awhile. Even before toddlers I had this happen where a sim would shower/bathe then hop out as soon as they went in.

I am having same problem had to go get UI Mod that is updated so I could drag the buggers bar clean..lol

Make sure that there is space around the tub, in case that is causing issues. There may need to be more space around the bath needed now that there are toddlers. Sims need to bath the toddlers ,so need more room.

have the same problem took all my mods off put tub in a big room, even repairing and resetting the sims 4 folder and still can only bath for a sec before there taken out

Try testing the issue with another household in your game and see if the issue remains.
Try also starting a fresh new save game and see if it occurs in that game also.

well it worked on a new sim in a new game when i made my own toddler instead of raising from a baby. guess ill just have to start my game over again

Hi there,

I am also having this issue, only I was able to once successfully bathe the toddler. The first time worked, the second time, not so much. I've tried resetting the Sim folder and repairing and am still experiencing this problem.

I had this issue as well, after removing all mods and repairing my game and putting the tub in a large open room. I tried moving my sims to a different lot, as suggested, and that fixed it. At least for now.

Try having your sim travel to another lot and back then test to see if the issue remains.

Try having your sims move to another home. Test to see if the issues remain at that new lot. Then have them move back again to the old lot and see if the issues remain

Okay I repaired the game also I notice that they can only bathe them from one side of the bath so try flipping around your bath... Hope it helps xD

I'm having this issue too. I did find though that the corner tub - Triteia Luxury Corner Bath with Jets - works. It's expensive and takes up a decent bit of space but if you can fit it in your bathroom, it should work.

The only way I can seem to get my sim to bathe the kid is if I have the toddler ask for a bath. I've tried all of the above suggestions, even putting a tub in the middle of a big empty room but no go.

If you haven't already done this, try having your sims move to another home. Test to see if the issues remain at that new lot. Then have them move back again to the old lot and see if the issues remain

Do the people who are experiencing this have a baby in the household? I didn't have any problems until my Sim gave birth. It might be a return of the old glitch. I have no mods or cc.
