Is there any hidden content on Simax?

As a diversion from all the Vampire speculation, I started thinking about other aspects of TS4 that I have wondered about. TS4 doesn't hold me like TS3 did, so I don't have all the packs, but I have enjoyed playing the scientist. I was very sad to hear that I will lose access to my scientific equipment when I change jobs, since I have an entire home laboratory that will have to be re-purposed, but that is a bit down the road. My current question is about Simax. I have built my home rocket and visited the very empty planet on more than one occasion. I remember in the preview there was a bar on the planet and people were partying. Is this unlocked when I complete the level 10 goal as a scientist? Will there suddenly be more Sims on the planet and a bar and other things to do there? As it stands, it is nothing but a really dark farm.

Any information or education on how to better incorporate Simax would be appreciated. Thanks!

The bar is an Alien Party event that you can be invited to if you are in the scientist career.
