Blouse untucked since last patch? «12...Next Go

Below you can see a picture of the same outfit, the first one was taken in September and the second one in December. The outfit looks awful now, since the same blouse does not tuck into the shorts (or pants and skirts) anymore. This must have happened not too long ago and I don't know why because it looks terrible and you can see the outlines of the shorts. Has anyone else noticed this?



It is just so weird, as it does not seem to have affected any other blouses. It is a shame too because it looks bad with most bottoms, as this is clearly a blouse that should be tucked in.

Might be a bug. I've noticed a few clothes are having similar issues. The leotard-like top with the design on the back no longer tucks into the skinny jeans from Backyard Stuff. It looks ridiculous now, haha.

Ok, so other tops were also affected. I don't get why though. It looks terrible and I cannot use the tops like this.

That's unforunate This is a small detail, but I was just thinking that it'd be nice if we could decide whether or not to tuck in certain tops.

It would add more variety to what we already have in CAS.

I'd love to have both versions if it were possible! There are tops I'd use more if they were tucked, and vice versa.

Indeed. I would really like to know how/if that could be implemented or if that would basically mean having two version of every top that goes over the waistline. I use as few mods as possible - only what I need to survive - but if there was a mod for this, I would get it right away.

Lol noticed it does that with the city living pants too. It's the shirt from backyard stuff, right?

I've noticed that with some male shirts, they are see-through near the bottom and you can see the outline of the jeans/pants button.

This happens to me with some blouses and pants. I really hope they fix it

It's the same with one of the plain male t-shirts. A very classic look with white tee tucked in jeans is broken because of it.

I just want it to be like it used to. It doesn't look good the other way around because of the meshes.

They should make the pieces actually layer. If you put the shirt on first it'll be tucked in vs if you put the pants on first

That would certainly be a good way of enabling both options without having to change the CAS menu. I wonder how complicated that would be to do and if that could work in practice. For example you would not want it to change when sims reset or change outfits or travel to a different lot or age up ...

Actually, it looks better out/tucking in clothes is something I can't make my husband stop doing. It's old school and not in style anymore.

Thank you for posting about this. I thought it was just me. I have had my sims stop wearing certain clothing altogether because of this thing. I hate it. Definitely prefer tucked.

Some things should be tucked but not all. For instance I can't stand the new style of some skirts (also found in game and life) which obviously have an elastic band waist, then the blouse is tucked. Without a belt or some band looking like a normal band it just looks like bad to me. If it has an elastic band without a belt etc., just no.

I have the same issue and that blouse definitely does not look nice untucked. I can't use it with any pants or skirt anymore because either the bump map of the clothing item below it shines through or it just looks flat. I hate it untucked, it should be properly tucked in like before

This has happened with one of my sims as well...although instead of his shirt not being tucked in his jeans are tucked into his socks.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and people have different tastes. I do not think everything should be tucked in, but I do not agree that the blouse looks better untucked. The outlines from every bottom are clearly showing and the hemline - in my opinion - suggests it should be tucked in. These tops, for example, clearly look better untucked.





These tops should stay tucked in, in my opinion, to create a certain look.






Also, there is nothing inherently wrong with "old-school", in fact, retro is so very hipster. And after all - at least in fashion - everything makes a return. Even bell-bottoms and plateaus.

This also happened with that tight plain t-shirt for men, although that one untucked itself a while back. So maybe it wasn't intentional?
If it wasn't intended, I hope they fix it too, it was my main sim's favourite shirt.
