You? I like dogs, am allergic now, but for some reason, something about me has changed, and now it's an even chance a random dog will seem to be uneasy if I make eye contact. This makes me feel like I must be a terrible person but I nevertheless don't automatically expect any more, that every dog is going to just wag its tail and be friendly to me as was once the case. It is a terrible thing... I do think dogs are an excellent judge of character most of the time and this makes me really wonder about myself.
I mean...people that dogs don't trust, can't be trusted, right? Maybe I'm crazy and containment is failing. Would love to laugh about that but not so sure it's even funny.

Dogs do seem to have an odd way of deciding who they'll be friendly to. Whenever we take my sister out and an excitable dog spots us, they always seem to want to run up to my sister, who really doesn't like dogs running up to her. I love dogs (as long as they're not aggressive) but they ignore me and go for my sister instead.
Perhaps they enjoy the challenge of making someone like them? (*Pictures a dog* Look into my eyes, you will succumb to my adorableness! You WILL give me attention).
I think dogs can misjudge a character too, especially if the dog has other issues. Maybe there are just a lot of grumpy dogs living in your area?

You for sure, not only because your glasses are really nice, but also, I don't wear glasses. Except okay... I do whip on a pair of blue-light-filtering reading glasses when I want to watch Netflix in bed surreptitiously, with headphones. Because otherwise I can't see the details well enough that small and up close.
