Viewing Tray Folder Contents for Sims 4

Is there a way to look at tray folder files and see what they are? My folder is huge...

I was pointed to a program called Sims 4 Tray Importer for this. I used it to export all the items I wanted to keep, and now they live in a separate folder where I can find them and put them in the active tray when I want to access them It did take a couple of hours to sort out about 4000 files, but that's partly because I was organizing them into categories.

Just a little infornation about the tray folder.
Your tray folder contains the files of the sims households and the lots that you have saved to your library. Each sims household contains 5 files and an extra file for each extra sim. ( 1x .householdbinary, 1x trayitem, 2x .sgi, 1x .hhi and an extra sgi file for each extra sim) A Lot consists of 6-11 files, depending on how many floors your Lot has (1 trayitem file, 1blueprint file and 4 bpi files, and an extra bpi files for each extra floor).
You can sort the tray folder by date /time and that can help you to find which files relate to which sims household or build.

Using the tray importer tool that Luthien posted about can be very helpful.

Thanks both of you. I will look for this tray importer first. My folder is causing lag in my game so I moved it out.

Here is a great resource for the Tray Importer Tool, in not only includes a detailed over view but links to the Tool and instructions on how to use it. The instructions are important because the creator's page is in French.
