You've been missing new stuff, though. 1.11 was SWEET... I'd highly recommend you browse the site again.
I downloaded 2.0.0 and will be checking it out in the morning.
In my game the mod 'No More Ingredients Needed 1.24' - I only use the herbalism one, it causes lag, resetting of sims if near a cooker/kitchen - and dumps new collectibles - frogs, insects, herbal ingredients in family inventory. When used with Coolspear1's Motive manager [especially the Space Fairy Home] -> dumps added ingredients used to make serums, inventions - anything a sim scientist would want - but not useable - so trying to milk side-effect will cause only exception texts, and script failure on the items and stuck sims, and no more ability to collect ANYTHING. Removing the motive manager - results in useable commodities, but very high bills if not used/rid of every sim day, or when leave the lot and return.
LastExceptions are a clue that you're trying to run pre-patch mod/cc files with your updated game. Take your /Mods folder out and try a test vanilla game.
Things should be fine (as good as it gets for vanilla play). Visit the sites where your mods/cc came from to see if they've been updated. Some won't need it, but those will be verified as still-working, too, I'd bet. Or at the very least, they won't have any ???????? post-patch messages added.
And a fun fact, for the first time in AGES, we were provided with a Korean translation for MC. (SEVERAL languages are supported, check it out if you're interested in something other than English.)
ETA: By the way, I want to split one hair about "updated" mods, specifically MC, but it could apply to others. I don't keep up with many.
Even though MC has been updated with 3.0.1 to work fine with the PATCH, the EP added new filters and lots and objects and so on to the game. MC has NOT (yet) been updated to work with THOSE things.
Example: you won't see a MC cheats button on an apartment mailbox. New object. EP support coming next MC version, but I don't know when it'll be posted. Deaderpool's still going through the new Population related stuff.
People are reporting "too many" new sims generating, not seeing extra sims on new lots, etc. Perfectly understandable, they (MS related happenings etc) aren't being brought in under MC's umbrella yet. Give him time.

I found the one you couldn't, the mod name is different from the file name, but I'd seen it before.
Electronics anywhere by plasticbox (http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=540031) makes the gaming console unable to recognize the TV. There's a message the console is not near a TV when one wants to use the console.

Patch News Work on updates is underway. Progress is slow due to so many changes on so many XMLs, it's a bit of a monotonous slog to be honest. Almost all of my mods on this site are in need of updating, so please hang on. Finding time this month is also hard, which does not help the process. But I am on the case, so it won't be too long

Give MC Command Center a try. Game Time Speed is changeable from within the base module.
