Aw, I'm so glad! I was a little nervous you wouldn't like him! It's always a bit of hit and miss when a child ages up. So far in this story, I've gotten very lucky and all the boys have turned out almost exactly like I imagined. It was especially funny with Parker and Lee, how their respective hairdos and outfits matched their personalities so well. I had to do very small adjustments.
A few days later, Jonas' club gathered at the karaoke bar for a belated celebration.
Him and Moon loved showing off their skills in front of their friends.
But mostly, they liked gossiping about everyone who was not a member of their club.
They didn't let just anybody into the club!
After a few hours, it was time to say goodbye.
Jonas stayed behind to finish his homework. He wasn't really the brightest light of the class, so he had been set some extra tasks to finish.
At the same time, Lisa and John were enjoying the Spice Market festival...
"Darling", John said. "We should do this more often."
"I know", Lisa said. "I think sometimes we forgot about each other while the kids were growing up."
"That's why I wrote this poem to you!" John exclaimed as he tried to describe his love for Lisa.
"I love you, John", Lisa said. "I am so grateful for everything you've given me."
"But I never gave you a wedding", John said.
"Oh, it's just a ring on a finger", Lisa insisted. "And you know I've never liked big parties or white fluffy dresses."
"I know that", John began. "We're the same in many ways."
"But just this once", he continued. "I have a little surprise."
And he brought out two beautiful rings for them both to wear.
"You know what", Lisa said. "If you hadn't bought them, I was going to next week before your birthday."
"Really?" John quipped.
It was another beautiful morning in San Myshuno and the sun shone into Lee and Marianne's apartment.
Oops! Sorry. What's happening here?
Let's look at the view for a bit.
And back in the apartment again... Marianne and Lee are very much in love.
"How's work these days?" Marianne asked.
"It's fun!" Lee replied. "Challenging, but in a good way. You know?"
"Tell me about it!" Marianne laughed, thinking about all the crazy patients she met everyday at the hospital.
With his natural ability to engage people and put his views across, Lee had gone into politics with enthusiasm.
But perhaps he still needed to fine tune some of his skills.
Back at home, Marianne was getting ready to go to work. Although, she wasn't really feeling so well that particular day.
On the island, Parker and Alex had moved into their own house. Parker had set up his meditation spot on the terrace.
Alex was getting really serious about his guitar playing.
It was a good thing Parker loved giving Alex's hands a massage after all that practice.
Because Alex had gotten a job as a critic with the San Myshuno Daily, he had taken over kitchen duty at home.
"You know", Parker said. "I love this new luxury of coming home to a set table, but how about going in to town this evening?"
"Sounds like a plan", Alex said.
Meanwhile, in San Myshuno, Marianne had a surprise for Lee.
"Guess what!" she gleamed.
"You finally cured Mrs Bingle, the hypochondriac?" Lee asked.
"No, silly!"
"I'm pregnant", she announced.
"We're having a baby?" Lee could hardly believe it.
"Yes! Are you happy?"
"Of course I am!" Lee said, but he was also a little worried. Maybe they needed to move now? How would they be able to afford that on a nurse salary and him just starting out in politics?
Alex needed to stay on the pulse of things, so he ended up listening to a woman performing SPop melodies on the violin. It's maybe an acquired taste, he thought to himself. But she's got the technique, at least.
Parker found his favourite beverage stand and order camomile tea.
Then he spotted Lee out for an evening walk.
"Hey! Fancy seeing you here", Lee said. "Why didn't you call?"
"Well, you're always so busy with your canvassing", Parker said.
"Politics is important", Lee said. "It's what makes this city run so smoothly."
"But guess what!" he began. "Marianne just told me, we're having a baby!"
"Is it true? Are you really? Mum and dad must be so happy!" Parker shouted.
"No, they don't know yet. We want to tell them ourselves, so don't you go blabbering", Lee hurried to add.
"Well, here's to my brother, soon to be a father. I'm sure you'll be amazing!" Parker raised his mug of tea.
"What's this I hear?" Alex joined them. "You're pregnant?"
"Yes!" Lee smiled. "I mean, Marianne is, not me."
"Bahaha!" both brothers laughed.
"Imagine me being pregnant", Lee giggled.
"I wouldn't want to wish that on the world", Parker wheezed.
After a while, Lee said he had to go back home. Parker gave him a parting hug.
"I will spoil that child rotten", he whispered in Lee's ear. "You know that, don't you?"
Alex had found a new musician to "enjoy" for work.
"She's good", Parker said and tossed a coin in her instrument case.
"So, that was unexpected", Alex said.
"I do enjoy music, you know", Parker replied.
"I meant Lee having a baby", Alex said.
"I know. Are you jealous?" Parker asked.
"No. I mean, I don't know. Maybe."
"Our time will come", Parker said and hugged Alex close. "You'll see. Don't worry."
Yes, hello. It's me! I've been a little busy - coughnierautomatacough - but I have now accumulated some more screenshots for Life of Lisa and they will be coming right up later today! Expect babies and birthdays!
Marianne's baby bump grew bigger and bigger. Grilled cheese, the food of my dreams.
Soon enough Lee could also feel the kicking.
"He's a strong one!" Lee exclaimed.
"How do you know it's a boy?" Marianne said. "Maybe she's a really great footballer."
Lisa would come over every now and then to see how Marianne was doing.
"I remember it so well", she said. "Carrying Lee and Parker. I was so impatient to meet them."
"I only wish my mother was here too", Marianne sighed.
"I know it's not much, but I will always be here for you", Lisa said. "You're like the daughter I never had."
"Little darling", Lisa whispered to Marianne's belly. "We will take such good care of you."
When Lee got home from canvassing, he and Marianne announced their plans for a homebirth.
"I had one too", Lisa said. "It was hard work, but so worth it in the end. And you know I'm just a phone call away."
"Thank you, mum", Lee said.
Back home, Jonas was eager to hear more about the baby.
"Is it coming tomorrow?" he asked.
"No, not yet. Maybe another week or two", Lisa said.
"So, how are babies made, exactly?" Jonas pondered. "Can you order them online?"
"No, not quite", Lisa said. "It usually involves a mum and a dad, like me and Dad."
"Oh, you go to the baby garden and pick one out!" Jonas announced.
"No, that's not really it either", Lisa sighed, realising this conversation was going to get very awkward very soon.
"Then how?" Jonas asked.
A few days later Lisa, John and Jonas arrived at the new restaurant on the top floor of a sky-scraper downtown.
It was John's birthday.
"We have reserved a table for three", John said.
"Put that phone away", Lisa admonished Jonas.
"But mum", Jonas sighed.
"Ah, this is nice!" John exclaimed. "What a view!"
But Jonas really wasn't in the mood at all this evening. He had wanted to spend time with Moon instead.
"I heard their sea bass is excellent!" Lisa said as John and Jonas browsed the menu.
"I want french fries", Jonas grumbled.
"We can always ask", Lisa said cheerfully.
"Well, I'm having the sea bass", John concluded.
"I want french fries or I'm leaving!" Jonas shouted.
"Alright, alright", Lisa said as the waitress approached their table.
"Maybe I should come back...?" the waitress offered.
"Yes, I think we're not quite ready yet", John apologised.
"What are you drawing?" Lisa asked Jonas.
"What does it look like?" Jonas mumbled.
"Come now. We're here to celebrate Dad's birthday. Let's try to enjoy it. Maybe later you can call Moon and see if he wants to join us."
Another waitress came to their table and took their order.
"Well now, this doesn't look so bad, does it?" Lisa smiled.
"Yeah, I suppose", Jonas replied.
"I think it looks delicious!" John said.
The meal was enjoyed in peace. After a little while an impressive cake was brought to the table.
"Well, I suppose it's time", John sighed.
As he got up an especially assigned staff member played a fanfare while Jonas sang.
John blew out the candles, making a secret wish.
"Well, hey there, handsome!" Lisa joked as John sat down again. "What a silver fox!"
"Muuum, you're so embarrassing", Jonas hissed.
"You look the same to me", Lisa said to John. "Only more distinguished."
"Maybe now they will finally take me seriously at the Academy", John laughed.
"Can I call Moon now? Please?" Jonas asked.
But Lisa and John only had eyes for each other.
"I have always loved imagining us growing old together", Lisa said as she caressed John's cheek.
"Hey, Moon, you have to come save me now", Jonas said.
"Jonas, your behaviour this evening has been nothing but appalling", Lisa suddenly lost patience.
"But it's so boring! Who gives a llama's behind about birthdays anyway!" Jonas shouted back.
"Blah blah, what a waste of time! We could have just had cake at home", Jonas complained.
"Young man, that's enough!" John finally said. "We're going home."
"Daaaad!" Jonas groaned.
"It's fine", Lisa said. "You call Moon. Dad and I will go home ahead of you. It's Friday after all. But we expect you back by eleven."
"Ok", Jonas sighed.
Jonas sat down on a couch waiting for Moon to arrive. He brought out his favourite toy Mr Fashion Police and played for a while until his phone pinged.
"Eugh, what is this place?" Moon said as he stepped out of the lift.
"It was so booooring", Jonas bemoaned his fate.
"They even had to kiss! In public!" he said.
"Ew!" Moon was so disgusted. "I don't want to know!"
"Let's go to Spice Market! I have a plan", Jonas whispered.
Sorry I vanished, work has kept me so busy in the past few weeks
Same! And now pollen season is upon us and my brain has turned to mush...
It's good thing I tend to accumulate a few episodes' worth of screenshots every time I play.
"I don't think my mum would like this", Moon said.
"Isn't that the whole point?" Jonas laughed.
"Ew! It's disgusting. This is boring", Moon complained.
"Ok, let's do something else", Jonas said.
"We could put laxatives in people's food and block the toilets!" Jonas whispered.
"Isn't that, like, illegal?" Moon suddenly seemed worried.
"I'm not doing it", Moon protested.
"Wha? I thought we were best friends forever?" Jonas moaned.
"Yeah, but...I mean, I don't want to get caught", Moon said. "I was just in the principal's office last week."
"Sassy! What did you do?"
"I hacked into the loud speaker system and played whale sounds throughout the school", Moon mused.
"Awesome!"
"I'll give you a 100 simoleons if you run naked through the square..."
"Cool! That's like a week's worth of crackers."
And off he went.
At the same time, in the Art's District, Marianne was feeling a little uncomfortable.
"I think it's time", she said as she sat down beside Lee on the sofa.
"Nah", he said. "It's not until next week. I have an important speech to hold tomorrow."
"IT'S TIME NOW! THE BABY IS COMING WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT! I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR STUPID SPEECH!"
"The what?" Lee suddenly realised just what exactly was happening.
"You don't love me anymore!" Marianne broke down in tears. "Why don't you want this baby?"
"What?" Lee was confused. "I never said... Honey, of course I love you."
Marianne got up and walked off to the bedroom. Lee felt the full wave of panic hit him.
Marianne had practised her breathing and labour progressed as smoothly as it could.
"You're doing great!" Lee cheered her on.
And finally, she was here, their very own little daughter.
"Let's call her Emily", Marianne said.
"I love that name", Lee said. "And I love you. You're amazing!"
"Well, you helped a little bit too", Marianne laughed.
I was just (finally!) coming back here to post a few new episodes, when I noticed all my photos are "gone". I'm not sure if it's the forum or my host Flickr that's the issue. But here is a sneak peak in the meantime.
Hope you are feeling better and that you recover the photos!!! X
It turns out there has been a change in how to post photos on the forum. It's no longer allowed to have url's in the coding. So basically, I have to go through all previous 6 pages of this story (and quite a few more of my others) and correct this. It's definitely going to make posting a little more time-consuming also.
Oh. Hi. I fell into a dark hole...trying to crawl out. I will try to return eventually.
Also, my game is terribly laggy these days, which isn't really helping.

Parker is me today, basically.
It turns out there has been a change in how to post photos on the forum. It's no longer allowed to have url's in the coding. So basically, I have to go through all previous 6 pages of this story (and quite a few more of my others) and correct this. It's definitely going to make posting a little more time-consuming also.
A few days after Emily's birth, Lisa, John and Jonas came over to adore the little wonder.
"Hello, little precious", John said.
"We're going to spoil you so much", Lisa cooed.
But then things took a turn for the worst.
"She's ugly", Jonas said.
"You are a spoilt brat!" Marianne replied.
Lisa stepped outside with Jonas for a moment.
"Listen, Jonas", she began. "You know we all love you..."
"Yeah, whatever."
"This is not whatever!" Lisa raised her voice. "You need to think about your behaviour, young man!"
"Right, ok", Jonas said, but he didn't seem particularly concerned.
"I know it's not easy being a teenager", Lisa said. "I've been there too."
"Yeah, with your craaaazy mum!" Jonas tried to downplay the situation.
"Thats not-" but Lisa didn't know what to say anymore. "Listen, Jonas, just try to behave around other people. Ok?"
"Ok."
"Is there something you want to say to me?" she tried one last time.
"No, not really", Jonas replied.
Once again, Lisa was left with a feeling that something wasn't quite right with Jonas.
Over on the island, Parker was looking at his favourite figurine Mr Robot, while pondering life.
"Are you ok?" Alex asked. "Ever since Lee had his baby you've seemed a little down."
"I don't know..." Parker began.
"It's not that I'm not happy for them", he continued. "I'm just a little...jealous, maybe."
"Do you want a baby too?" Alex asked frankly.
"I do", Parker replied.
"We'll get there, eventually. Just you wait and see", Alex said as he hugged him.
