Can nannies be overworked?

My first nanny babysat for several days in a row. From what I could tell she seemed happy and the kids quite liked her. But one morning another nanny showed up and replaced her. He appeared on my lot and the other nanny left. The kids like the new nanny, so that's a good thing, but I'm wondering if this second nanny will also be replaced at some point. I was hoping the kids could build a relationship with their nanny long term.

The nanny I got only stayed for 8 hours then left. There must be a union or something that watches over them.
