    Do the sun umbrellas/parasols protect the vampires from sunlight?

      Yes. Also there is the "immune to heat" lifetime reward that came with Seasons that helps.

      If you have Supernatural there's also an "immortal" lifetime reward that, as well as stopping aging, makes them immune to the sun. You can also make vampire sunscreen with the alchemy station or buy it from the potions shop.

      Personally, yes. For sims, no.
