Hi and welcome to the Done and dusted reading circle.


If you don't already know what a reading circle is Its an original idea by @CathyTea for more info check out the Reading Circles thread


This particular reading circle is for those completed stories that may not have had many readers for multiple reasons, and now no longer updated have become neglected gathering dust on an old blog somewhere.
Like our Elder sims even an old story needs some love and recognition.

We are trying to create a space where we can have fun, read, feel supported and appreciated.
Its not important whether the story is Sims 1,2,3, or 4, story based or not, follows a theme or has an age rating (please leave a warning when submitting)
Anything goes as long as its a completed story.

There are no time restrictions, No schedule, you don't even have to be a writer to join this circle, Everyone is welcome. Read at your own pace and have fun!!

As this circle is pretty relaxed I dont feel it needs any rules (as long as we follow the official forum rules) but there are a few necessary requirements:

*Any story you submit must be complete
*To submit a story you will need to leave a link to the story you wish to share and a short synopsis.
*Be nice no bullying, trolling or other hurtful comments directed at anyone in this thread. (please keep all constructive criticism relevant to the story)
* You may submit more than one story.

i'm sure there will still be spaces @CathyTea. I am happy to make space for anyone who is interested i hadn't really thought of a cut off number as far as circle member are concerned as it is meant to be laid back, read at your own pace. There will be no pressures on readers to keep up with updates as they will be completed stories so it shouldn't get too overwhelming. Anyway I'll be happy to have you.

Excellent! In that case, I'm in!

Here are my current finished stories...

Goofy Love (very long! Over 110 chapters!)
Harrington's Wonder Child (only 8 chapters)
Walden Once More (15 chapters)

And this will inspire me to finish Skill U, which has only one or two more chapters until its done!

Were you thinking that we would list one story per writer at a time? If so, then I'll wait until we have our members and see which of them they choose.

I'm looking forward to this! It's fun to read finished stories!

Welcome to Done and dusted @CathyTea I plan to list all members completed stories so that was we have a bigger selection to choose from. this group will not really be structured. I want our readers to have complete control over the stories they want to read hopefully they will try different genres to what they usually go for and discover all the amazing talented writers and works in our community.

I'm a bit of a binge reader when I have a free minute so having a big selection of completed stories means I can read as much or as little as I like when time allows. I do like discovering those little gems that we sometimes miss because maybe we were not so active here or the writers didn't know where to promote them at the time.

Also Is it possible to include links for any stories you want added to the list and a short synopsis of your stories (just to make it a little easier for me to list them). Thank you for joining

The certificate is a super sweet gift. Don't know what to say! I'm Honoured But I gotta say you made Binge reading the Pruetts easy to do as they are just so great and well written. I just loved them all, What a gorgeous and funny bunch of sims. I would totally steal a few to add to game but couldn't imagine them being anything but Pruetts (I dont think i could bear to have them separated from their family/lives/stories you wrote them too well )

I loved it!! I knew Meatball was up to something and I was internally shouting at Jonathon to ask his sister instead. But I guess that's just the way the crumbles. Honestly right from the start I was wondering about Thaddeous disappearing as fast as his existence was discovered so I like the fact that we got to discover something of what happened to him/his descendants after he left us

oh oh oh and it also has paved the way for Jonathon to start the restaurant challenge (I've started reading that too although i'm pacing myself with that one)
I have plans to read everything Pruett until I get them out of my system. my reading list is giving you stink eye right now as it's got even longer.

Hello there. I would love to join your group even though it seems I'm far less experienced than your group's members.
I have two completed stories that I'd like to share: a 47-chapter apocalypse challenge story and a 92-chapter legacy challenge story.
The only problem is that, as a very recent blogger, I'm still transferring these two stories to my blog.

May I still become a provisional member of your reading circle? If yes, would you give me some advice on how to proceed?
I'm going to try finishing transfer of my apocalypse story over the next week or so.
I look forward to hearing from you. My blog site, in case you're interested is oshizu's asylum.

Edited to add: After transferring the first 3 chapters of "The Sanada Apocalypse: Dystopian Dearth," I found it really boring for anyone not currently playing the Apocalypse Challenge.
So my only completed story would be my legacy challenge.

I really like reading challenge stories, so I'd encourage you to do your apocalypse story, too! But if it's too tedious to transfer, I understand.

I really appreciate your interest in challenge stories because, to be honest, I only play challenges and write game-driven stories.
Eventually, I will be transferring over my Apocalypse Challenge story since its founder is the product of my wonder child challenge attempt.

On my blog, I have two completed stories:
