Can't play when internet down

My internet system comes via a satellite dish on my roof receiving an internet connection from a remote aerial. Quite frequently my internet connection is lost, when this happened a couple of days ago, I could not play Sims 4. Irritating to say the least. In the past I have been able to access the games whilst offline, is this the new norm, or a new problem.

You should still be able to acess your game when you are offline. Origin may ask you to login, so log in if asked and you should be still able to play the game.
Simmers were having issues the other days due to servers issues. Try testing now if you are able to play in offline mode,

I was unable to log in, the box asking for permission to make changes came up, clicked OK, then the Box saying I was in Windows mode came up, clicked OK, then the log in box flashed and disappeared, unable to log in.

What do you mean the box saying you're in Windows mode? Could you take a screenshot of these pop ups you're getting so we get a better idea? Thanks. Post them up to imgur and paste the link here.

Was the Wimdows mode a computer system mesage, that wasn't connected to Origin?

no it is the one which always comes up when I log in to Origin. Yellow box black wording.

Perhaps try testing it again without being connected to the Internet and see if you are able to log in and be offline this time.

my sims 4 is not working when i first downloade sims 4 it worked and then one day i was just creating a new sim and i turned off my laptop when i turned it back on it would just say sims 4 is not responding everytime i try to play ive tried restarting and turning my laptop on and off again but nothinng would work

Hello @cupcake_12 .
Shut down your computer completely. Start the computer again, then launch the game and see if that helps.

If you have cc/mods in your game, move your mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and test to see if the issue is still there.

If the issue still remains, repairing the game may help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.

Try switching back to 32 bit mode and see if that helps. To do that ,
Go to My Games in Origin . Right click on The Sims 4 picture.
Click on “Game Properties”
Change the “When launching this Game” setting to “The Sims 4 32-bit”

Try starting the game in windowed mode and see if that helps the issue

If after doing all the above things the issue still continues, could you please post your DxDiag info here. It will take multiple posts.
To gather a DXDIAG on your computer, do this :
Press and hold the Windows key and the letter R on your keyboard
You will see a Run box in the lower-left corner of your screen
Type dxdiag in the text field
Click OK
Click the Save All Information button, found on the bottom of the DXDIAG report
Then copy and paste the information from where you saved it, to here in this thread.

regarding the dxdiag request, I have tried to forward it to you, if I click on the icon on the desktop I cannot paste, if I open it and copy all the data, it is too much to post to you. Sorry, not really computer literate.

The DiaxDiag information request was for cupcake_12 whose sims 4 game is not responding. Because they are still a new member, they are unable to open their own thread, so have posted on your thread..

You haven't troubled us at all! I hope that next time that you have Internet connection issues, that you will still be able to play the game offline. It may have been a random issue the last time when you were unable to play the game in offline mode.
