This is an absolute first from the Sims Studio isn't it? A deliberate gesture to allow volunteers to test game updates? Loads of other game companies do it now, but this is first time for this game.
PS when I posted last night I must have been nearly asleep - I am not qualified to test this as I am not using an intel graphics chip lol. Glad to hear it's working well for most respondents

No. Some weeks ago SimGuruModSquad released a fix (mod) for that issue with elders' faces having the overexaggerated wrinkles/shadows. It was later incorporated into the game in a patch. So this is the 2nd time now.
Thankfully I don't need this fix but I am amazed at the number of people who won't use it simply because it is being called a mod. It's not third party content guys. It's been officially made by the Sims Team.
a.k.a. Menaceman44 on MTS.
Thoughts on a new wall mode?
Since you said it'll be in the next Patch, I can just wait. If I add the package now, I'll forget to remove it and then wonder why the patch messed it up LOL....so I'm happy just waiting now that I know what it is
Hello @tippypig.

Then go to game options and tick the " enable custom content and mods" button which is found in :
Options | Other | Enable Custom Content and Mods. Also tick the script mods allowed button.
Exit the game. Then go back into the game again and check to see if the slide issue is fixed..

Okay thank you so so much @rosemow
I will do this is morn, wait is this a mod?
It's a mod made by the game developers to use while you're waiting for the game update. There are more steps to making the full update, and it looks like they wanted to get us this fix without us having to wait as long as that
