Lighting glitch

While playing my legacy family, I noticed a glitch where sometimes one of the sims will look like they're standing outside even though they're inside. I have a few pictures to show what I'm talking about. It's really bothersome because it makes my pictures look terrible.

Also, because I know someone will assume I'm dumb and didn't check - YES there is a roof and YES it covers the whole house and NO there are no spots where the tile part of the roof doesn't cover it. I've checked these things because the last time I experienced something similar, that was the issue.



The male sim is the sim in question in this photograph.



She's standing directly under the light and the issue still occurs.



Once again, the male sim is the issue.

Usually, once the action they're completing is finished and they move to another area of the house, they're fine. But it's hard to get the pictures without it

Hello.
Check that your graphics drivers are up to date.

Try checking/testing with other households/homes in the game and see if the issue is there also.

Try starting a new save game file and see if the issue occurs in that game also.

Try changing your graphics settings and see if that helps the issue.

Repairing the game may help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.

Try resetting your sims 4 folder and see if that helps. To do that, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated. Exit the game and then copy back the "options.ini" file and the "saves" , "screenshots" "tray" "custom music " and "mods" folders from the desktop sims 4 folder to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new generated file/ folders with the old file/folders from the desktop sims 4 folder .

There was an issue where a similar issue was occurring when sims were sitting down
