I like the job in the sims 3 back to sims 4. Also i like more different aspect
I would like them consider these aspects, such as:
1) lawyer
2) sports in more different professional ( there are so many kinds of sport profession other than soccer, basketball, squash , tennis etc )
3) social worker
4) psychoics
Well there are so many different choice possibilities in job professional to fits sims character / traits.
I would love to see some simple jobs that don't pay too much like grocery store clerk and if you put effort in you can make it to store manager-maybe it can be like a simple three tier job but even the top level doesn't pay a ton. Receptionist to office manager too maybe? Laborer in a factory or something?
As for traditional sims careers I miss the military and the teaching one. I would also like a veterinarian career.
We've got the teen jobs that sort of fit what you're looking for (babysitter, retail, manual labor) -- opening those to all age groups would be a great idea.
Teaching would be a great addition -- wouldn't have to be an active job either though I know a lot of people want an active school where you go to school with your kids. I'm just not sure how well that would work after seeing all the issues with juggling a family with the current active careers.

What about the ability to create our own careers where we set the pay and the promotion requirements and how many levels there are? We can input the text for each career level and set work outfits.

I prefer active careers, non-active careers don't interest me in the slightest. And I don't find I have that issue with juggling Sims, I quite like focusing on one individual per work-day. I'd love an active school pack, where we can either be the teacher or the student, and we can design our own schools with unique curriculum, like the club system. Ideally it would be like Get To Work, where we can choose to follow our Sim or send them like a rabbithole career. Then it suits both sides.

I'd love something like this, especially if we could choose to have them active or not, and set daily tasks. Like paid clubs, I guess. I had a custom career editor for TS1 and spent so much time making my own career tracks! And I made a few custom careers for TS3 as well. I'd love something like this.
I'm afraid I don't like the active careers so I would prefer all of these to be the normal go to work careers:
Education
Daycare
Interior designer
Make up artist
Manual Labour
NPC jobs (Maid, deliveryperson, gardener etc.)
Lawyer
Politician
Vet
Military
Popstar (Celebrity career)
These are just a few.. I crave the norm! I like realism in my game, I'm afraid Secret agent just doesn't cut it for me!

So many careers to choose from! I will never understand why there is such a small amount of careers at this point. Different career paths give the possibility to create new storylines and make a sim more of an individual who stands out.
I'd love to have teachers, interior decorators, veterinarians, mechanics, paramedics, dentists, lawyers, politicians, stylists, fashion models, private detectives, ...
I would also like to see some part time jobs and jobs with a low income in which you can't have a promotion (cleaning lady, waitress, gardener, receptionist, cashier, taxi driver, librarian, ...)
Dentist would be a great new career to have!

I would like to see a caretaker for Graveyards , mortuary, I would like to see Barbers for a Barber shop, Hair dresser and Finger Nails for boutiques, Employees for Clothing shops, which would have dressing rooms, and Nanny's so the kids are not home alone when parents at work, also Vet's if we ever get Pets pack that is.
Veterinary would be a great bonus career if you have both the Sims Pets EP and Get To Work EP I'd love to have a playable career to do with animals, also an acting career option, farmer would be fun! Also teaching as its been mentioned working all the way from classroom assistant to principal of Sims U
