Bar Stools Sims getting stuck

I sent my sim to a bar and noticed both my sims got stuck on the chairs at the bars. What's going on? I played 3 Sims 4 base game bars and all the same. Sent my sims to the bar and both got stuck at each bar and couldn't stand up. I haven't edited the bars one bit. So they are as they came in the base. I don't use bar stools on my sims home lot so I never noticed it until my sim went to a bar. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Both sims was waving arms showing the little cant access routing feet bubble while sat at the bar.
Only way to get my sim unstuck from the stool was resetting both sims.
All 3 bars was the same. I don't get what is causing it. I've repaired the game and it hasn't fixed it.

Hello.
Try testing with bar stools on your own home lot and see if the issue occurs on that lot as well.
I think that the 3 bars have copies in the library . Try replacing the bar lots with the library version and see if the issue occurs again.
Try starting a new save game file and test having a sim go to the bars in the new save game and see if the issue occurs there as well.

I hope that replacing the bars helps.
If the issue remains, try editing the lots and moving the bar stools around to other positions in the bar and see if that stops the sims from being stuck.
Sometimes coming completely out of the game and then going back in again can help to fix issues.

I just started having this issue with Dine Out. Very annoying to have to fix all the bars. I don't think that helps though as I have placed new bars and even built one myself. Started a new game,....same thing. No CC or Mods. If I take away every other stool, and leave an empty square between them, they work fine....it just looks weird.

I am sorry that you are having this issue. When it occurs,try resetting the sim and see if that helps to fix them from being stuck. Also see if pausing the game then unpausing the game may help the issue when it occurs.

Will try the pause thing....re-setting works, but I have to turn on the testing cheats every time. Thank You rosemow

I thought I would update my post. After replacing the Bar it worked for a while and today it has started again. So I've had to replace the lot from my gallery again I will have to build my own bar and test it. It is very strange that sims cant get off the bar stool. I have no problem on my sims home lot.

Thankyou for updating about the issue. I am sorry that the issue has returned to your game.
Has the issue occurred in a bar downloaded from the community section of gallery or one that you have bullt yourself, that is not a maxis built bar?

hey i had similar issue at my sims' house. they would get stuck between stools at the kitchen island. replacing stools or island did not help. had to sell it and buy a regular table.

Its the maxis base game bar in willow creek. I think its called blue velvet. It also happens in a lounge by maxis but I'm unsure which one due to testing blue velvet mostly. It seems to happen when bars have counters and chairs attached. Its really weird.

I am sorry that you are having these issues. Try testing by starting a new save game and having your sims visit the blue velvet venue in that new save, to see if the issue occurs in that game also.

I hope that you don't have the issue occur again. If you do, it would be good to know where it is happening.

Mine do it at every bar where the stools are in every square. any lot, home or maxis made. They don't get stuck at the end of the bar or counter island if there is an empty square next to it. Only the middle stools where there is no empty space.

It's not your fault. Just letting you know. I don't like re-setting them because of turning the cheats on, but I don't mind moving some stools out. They can sit together at tables at least, the four seaters that is. If you put in the 8 seaters they get stuck in those middle chairs too. Maybe it will get worked out. But if not the four seats work. lol

It's not your fault. Just letting you know. I don't like re-setting them because of turning the cheats on, but I don't mind moving some stools out. Moving stools out and using the four seaters is a good approach to the issue.

Same thing happened in a new save new folder. Thank you for all the help anyway @rosemow I will just move a few bar stools for now.

I am sorry! I have changed it to seaters!
Moving the stools is a good workaround to the issue at the moment.

Yes, this happened to me the other day. At a club. Hasn't happened in a restaurant or sim's home.
