Good to know! And I hope when I'm old I won't be saying that, because by then, most of my past will made up of a greater proportion of the good parts of life. My past set the bar so low, that the present doesn't have to do much besides not stink on ice, to be better than the past. So nowhere to go but up!
Now another shot at yours: "How many times do they think farts are still funny?"

That's both my caption for yours and my response! And I will change it if it's pointless because no one can read it. It's the first bit of some poetry by Zinaida Gippius I memorized for recitation at a competition in high school, and it's quite dark. I can still recite the whole thing in Russian, but I can translate it here:
*******
Non-love, by Zinaida Gippius 1907
Like a damp wind, you beat at the shutters.
Like a black wind, howl "You are mine!
I am primordial chaos, your old friend;
Your only friend. Open, open!"
I hold tight the shutters, and dare not open.
I hold tight the shutters and hide my fear.
I keep and cherish, keep, and treasure
My last light; my love.
Sightless chaos laughs and calls:
"You will die in fetters! Tear, tear yourself away!
You know happiness: you are alone.
Happiness lies in freedom --and in non-love."
Growing cold, I make a prayer,
Can barely make a prayer of love;
Arms weaken, I'm ending the fight.
Arms weaken. I open.
*********
Dark, yes? It's better in Russian, too. I was surprised it was from 1907. Even when I chose it for recitation, I had no idea it was that old.

I would love to know what he's laughing about though. Looks like such a moment. I don't have anything much to caption, sorry.

The context is they're just laughing at their bassist.
