A Selection

Ok, I'm crazy excited to start this challenge story! I'm following the rules set up by @Kamio if you are intrerested in doing one too. I was up late last night creating 18 lovely girls and and the royal family, I'm trying to obtain a palace, that won't cause game lag but big enough for all 22 people to live there, if you are interested in creating one please tell me asap and I can give you more info.

Chapter 1: Flash!

China Golden, a 5 waited in line patiently for a photo, replaying the conversation the royal family had yesterday about The Selection.
"We are pleased to announce big news about our son, Prince Charles," the king began saying, "Many of you probably recall the last Selection where our beloved Queen Lilianna rose to the throne. Charles would you like to tell them?" he asked Charles
"Oh sure," he said waking out of a daydream his twin sister Elana giggling, " We will be holding a selection, yes I know girls all around the country are going ballistic already, and that's okay. Forms will be sent to girls all around the country tomorrow, please don't feel discouraged to submit one, and we'll see you next Friday where we will be revealing the lucky ladies, one our future queen."

China couldn't help staring at all of these beautiful ladies standing in line, posing obnoxiously when they got their photo, and the stubborn ones holding up the line making sure there frame and application get packed and put in the direct mail chute to the palace. China chuckled at the thought of all the packages in the mail pile at the palace. She stood firmly as a guard passed her and stared right into her eyes, "What's so funny?" China almost fainted, "Nothing!" The guard walked away at that.

Suddenly, it was her turn for a photo. She didn't want to pose obnoxiously, but she did want a pretty face for whoever had to unpack the random package selected.

China walked back to her house since it was nice weather. She got home and set down on the couch dreaming of the life she would have if she became queen, she didn't want money or a chair along side the four of them, she just wanted Charles.

Very nice start. China is a daydreamer - but what better dreams can one have if they are full of love and wonderment! Can't wait to see Charles and the rest of the competitors.

if you are looking I recommend Tokulee,TheGreatSimphony, or Simoniona galleries they have some pretty incredible castle builds in their library

@MarkHarris17 - I won't be able to upload my castle for awhile!! I've just gone into hospital (again) so eep! I run my game on a pretty high spec PC! If you want to make it easier you can always have the girls living on different lots and move them in when you reach the elite phase/6-7girls left?

Oh that's ok @Kamio your health is tops important!! I'm going to check out @VIRTUALEE recommendations, and if I don't like the builds I'm going to the DNA Request team.

Chapter 2: Last Outing

The royal family went to a fancy restaurant as their last outing, on the eve where the lives of 18 lucky girls will change forever. They went at 100 am because no one is at restaurants at 100 am, so they couldn't be bothered. (their formal wear)
Charles knew he should have let it go, but it was his selection, "Okay, when are picking 18 random packages out of millions?" Charles asked, his mother picked her hand up and scratched her red hair looking at her husband next to her. They both started laughing! "Hahahaha! They've been picked already son, the only people that will know until it's broadcasted is me and your mother."
"Charles, they are all beautiful and talented young women, any one of them will be a cherished queen." the queen said
"I just saw one of the lucky ladies walk past!" the king yelled out of excitement

"Our appetizers are here, let's just enjoy one final night as a normal family." the king said
"But we aren't a normal family!" Elana protested
"For our standards." the king said


Elana can't get enough!

Before they even knew it their dinners came, Hungry much?

"Okay son, ready to make history?" Charles nodded

I'm excited to read this story, I've never heard of the "Selection" type of stories until now and so far I like it a lot! The members of your royal family are all very good looking sims I can't wait to see what the 18 girls look like.

Chapter 3: The Lucky Girls

Welcome country! We are excited to show our 18 lucky ladies, the queen and I were up late last night making this video announcement coming up soon. as we are the only two that now. Let's get started!" King Palmer said

Wow I can only imain how it must feel to be selected for a competition where the prize is royalty!!

Question though, I'm unfamiliar with this challenge, what do the numbers beside the names of the ladies mean?

@Logisitcs the numbers are their castes 1 to 8, one is royal family aka Lilianna, Palmer, Charles, Elana, and one of these ladies. 8's are homeless everyone else is in between, as of being select they are all 3's, unless they are 3's or 2's. Hope that cleared it up if you have any questions ask, it was a big turning point in the selection series
