I whole heartedly agree. Personally if I were calling the shots I would have made Careers cover Self-Employment in a bit more depth by being specific.

Opportunity Chances - Just like with regular careers opportunities arise and in order to make extra money for your business you fulfill satisfactorily the perimeters of the cards. For example if you own a restaurant and a famous food critic comes in and you strive to make his visit good enough for a rave review.
Succesful chances would provide rewards for the business that aren't just money, for example employee benefits or prizes
Failing opportunities would have an adverse effect upon the business for example a bad crop or less traffic to the business
When another Sim asks "What do you do for work?" the response would be exactly what the Sim does and marked properly.
