The most eventful thing for me today, was when my sim went to the bathroom and found a stranger taking a bath in her tub. (I find it rather disturbing that "get the beep out of my house!" is not an option but a cheerful introduction is...).
Claire also found out that she is unexpectantly pregnant which was a rather fun surprise.
Moreover, I advise that the cart button must be destroyed!
Even though Danielle quit her Freelance Artist career, she still loves to paint. She's been painting a lot because she and Travis are trying to save for a bigger house so they can have kids.
Liberty came over and hung out for a little bit
Danielle went back to the gym and taught more yoga classes
Sage was at the gym and attended Danielle's second class of the day. This is why I love playing rotationally, it's fun seeing my sims around town when I'm not playing them.
More people came to the second class, but everyone except Sage left before it was over because their hygiene got low, so Danielle didn't get paid much for that one
The same few people were coming to her classes at the gym, so Danielle decided to go to the park and teach a class there since it had stopped raining
Danielle also started giving massages. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep having her do that, though, because not everyone pays her and that's kind of annoying.
Princess Roddy continued on. He received a gift from a flock of birds:

In an effort to break up my post, I thought I would share some bits and pieces.
So, I had Aiden try on outfits after he Fabricated a Dresser. It turns out that Aiden almost has an exclusive preference for his Merman Attire over his outfits from Eco Living.

All merfolk outfits, mermen and mermaids, are designed around what they look like in their merform.
So, I focused on making sure that, if they suddenly changed back to their merform, they could theoretically still wear the outfit, hence the skirts.
Also, Aiden is shirtless in his merform, so I decided that the same would go for any of his merman attire.
As I imagine it, merfolk aren't affected by temperatures like human sims, so they can be shirtless or wear fewer layers in extreme temperatures.
Looks like the Leprechaun Hat Swimsuit Striped Tights Club is still around... what is this outfit even for and why do so many townies have it
Arun met Justin Delgato randomly in the hallway one day. They hit it off.
Arun: Welcome home, sweetie, meet Justin!
Jesminder: I had a terrible day at work, how come you invited a friend without checking with me first, this apartment is too crowded already and gaaahhhh

Arun had fun at GeekCon. He won the programming contest. The prize was the same computer he already has. He thought about reasons to claim he needs two, but Jesminder's right about needing a bigger apartment... he sold it. That was very noble of him.
Adeline completed her whiz kid aspiration. She's fully comfortable with being Mentally Gifted.
She and Mom both like to mix potions.
Mom has a new bar trick called the Fireball.
Who knew the Fireball could actually cause fires?
Jesminder completed her mixology aspiration. She's very happy at work. Apparently they know what's good for them, and will keep her on even if she loses her temper now and then, because she's that talented a mixologist. Now she is turning her energies to helping her family succeed in life. Aw, Adeline- she's so happy that Mom is finally reading to her for the first time! (usually Arun takes parenting duty)
They have a good social life. Jesminder and Grace Anansi are close. Miko brought pizza over one evening.
They get together with the Rasoyas often. (Jesminder is always making some kind of face even in the background...)
Arun became an adult. His look is now full-on techie dad. He earned the Mentor trait. He has always loved teaching Adeline things.
His best friend Atharv is still a big part of his life, even if it's sometimes a little ambiguously more than friendly... Atharv wants this more than Arun does
Arun is doing his best to keep it just friendly. Sometimes some friends need reminding about that.
Arun has had a midlife crisis and decided he needs to get in shape.
Jesminder: You're being ridiculous.
Arun: Now who's ridiculous?
Jesminder: I can't figure out whether this is more satisfying than hitting the stuffed animal or not. Maybe we should just keep both.

5:00am, sim time. Angus McTavish, the black rooster, crowed from the balcony of Feathersoft Coop:
The first to come out of the coop were Hilda and Angus McTavish the Second, a golden hen chick and a golden rooster chick. Princess Roddy gave them some affection:
Then it was Angus McTavish's turn to receive a cuddle from Princess Roddy!
After cleaning out the coop and collecting eggs, the princess then cuddled his 3 hens, Prudence, a golden hen, Sybil, a black hen and Sadie, a brown hen:
Lastly, Princess Roddy went over to the cow shed, where his brown cow, Belle, was situated. He cleaned out the shed, and gave Belle a brushing:

Belle mooed in happiness. After tending to his raspberries and chocoberries, Princess Roddy grabbed 6 fresh golden eggs from the fridge and set off for Finchwick.

This came from a birthday cake botch where I accidently aged Gabe up to an elder. I decided not to fix it as a lesson to myself. Storyline-wise, this was the result of a corrupted birthday wish.
Sometimes Sims do the darndest things when you're not looking like Cosmo Kramer sneaking an embrace with Gabe's wife.
Since Gabe is short for Gabriel, I named the son that and the daughter, the female version, Gabrielle. It appears that Gabrielle has inherited her mother's skin color.
Finally, here's Jules and her dad potty training together.

Princess Roddy then heard something going on inside the Gnome's Arms. 'Oh dear...' he sighed. 'What is it?' Agatha Crumplebottom asked. 'Seems aunt Chloe Furystrykar has taken a liking to your cousin....and it's not going well.' Princess Roddy replied. Indeed, Chloe was attempting to flirt with Agnes, not to tease her, but because she genuinely liked Agnes. And it was going wrong.
'Oh come on Agnes, let someone into your life, for once!' Chloe said. Agnes wasn't listening. She punched Chloe, and a fight ensued:
Realisation hit Princess Roddy. 'Chloe, DRINK THE DEFIB IN A BOTTLE!' he telepathically said. He knew that Chloe had a rare condition that sends her adrenaline levels into overdrive whenever she is very sad. If Chloe didn't drink the defib in a bottle, she would die by an adrenaline attack. Chloe did so. Agnes beat Chloe. And to add insult to injury, Agnes callously threw a drink at Chloe:
Chloe went very sad... 'What's the matter, you rapscallion? Had enough?' Agnes said, taunting the poor woman. 'U-uugh...I'm...going to...AAAARGH!' Chloe screamed as her adrenaline levels went into overdrive, poisoning her:
'Serves you right!' Agnes shouted. Chloe keeled over:
A few seconds later, she was revived by the defib in a bottle. Princess Roddy and Benjamin saw the whole thing:
'Are you all right, big sister?' Benjamin asked, sobbing. 'I...I'm ok, little brother.' Chloe replied, still weak. Princess Roddy and Benjamin breathed a sigh of relief. Relief turned to anger. Benjamin casted inferniate at Agnes:
Agatha walked over to Agnes. 'You've crossed the line, cousin. I'm disowning you!' Agatha said, angrily. There was more to come for Agnes.
The arrest and trial of Agnes Crumplebottom
Fair warning, this is lengthy.
The police were called. Marcus Flex came over and asked for witnesses. A few people came over and gave their statement. Marcus Flex thanked them. 'Agnes Crumplebottom, you've had a long history of criminal activities. I'm arresting you on the suspicion of assault. you do not have to say anything, but it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence.' Marcus Flex said. He handcuffed a protesting Agnes Crumplebottom. Marcus also confiscated Agnes's handbag. A search of that handbag turned up a heavy brick.
A few weeks later, it was time for the trial. Agnes pleaded not guilty. Several witnesses took the stand to testify, and each was cross examined by the prosecution and Agnes's lawyer. Then it was time for Agnes to testify. Her version of what happened didn't match up with what the witnesses saw. Lastly, it was time for Chloe to tell her side of the story. After the prosecution and defence had cross examined her, Chloe fainted. The last attack had damaged Chloe's lungs. She was taken to the medical ward of the courthouse to recover.
After considering the evidence, the 12 jurors, which included 6 men and 6 women, all of different nationalities, signalled to the judge that they were ready. 'Are you ready to give your verdict, jurors?' the judge asked. 'Yes, your honour.' one of the men replied. 'Ok, and what is your verdict?' the judge asked. 'We the jury find Mrs Agnes Crumplebottom guilty of assault.' one of the women responded. The judge brought down her gavel. 'Very well. This court finds Mrs Agnes Crumplebottom guilty of assault. Sentencing will be on a later date. Court adjourned!' she said.
A few days later, it was time for sentencing. Chloe had recovered. 'Court is now in session for the sentencing of Mrs Agnes Crumplebottom. Before I hand down the sentence. I warn you, Mrs Crumplebottom, that assault on a member of his royal majesty's family is a serious crime.' the judge said, sternly. 'I don't care who she was, she deserved getting beaten up! You young 'uns and your lack of manners!' Agnes ranted. The judge furiously banged her gavel down. 'ORDER, ORDER! Now listen here, Mrs Crumplebottom. This is a court of law, not a place to rant and rave. And also, I have been very polite here. We all have. You are the one with a lack of manners. Now be quiet or the charge of contempt of court will be added!' she said, annoyed. That shut Agnes up. The judge turned to the jurors. 'Now, jury of the court, what do you suggest the sentence shall be?' she asked. One of the jurors stepped forward. 'We the jury recommend the sentence of jail for 30 years.' she replied. The judge nodded. 'Very well. Mrs Agnes Crumplebottom, you are hereby sentenced to 30 years in prison.' she said, bringing down her gavel. 'Court adjourned!' she added.
Mrs Agnes Crumplebottom was led away to be put in prison. Mayor Lavina Chopra announced that Agnes Crumplebottom was banned from entering Henford-on-Bagley for life when she got out of prison. She was also banned from entering Brindleton Bay by the order of Mayor Whiskers.

I'm still debating on exactly what I want for merfolk attire. Island Living didn't really give a lot to work with, and I didn't like the Batuu outfits. I wish I had more to work with, but I don't have mods. But, my core idea is to take their appearance in (What I consider their true form) and design their outfits around that.
For Clothing, there are a few key reasons why people wear clothes. For my merfolk, I'm trying to think about functionality and symbols of status. I'm hoping that, by the time I finish my first rotation cycle, I'll have things figured out. I want my merfolk to be able to embrace their identity as merfolk by wearing stuff that reflects their identity. They can't do enough stuff in their merform, so I'm just trying to increase their presence as merfolk in my game. Don't know if any of that makes sense. I plan on creating 5 different outfits in every category.

Does anyone know of packs that have Feminine Skirts that look Masculine on a male frame?

For Merfolk, their bottoms are skirts for any outfits intended to represent their merfolk identity. Functionally, it makes more sense when you don't have legs in your natural form. For my merfolk, I kinda threw out to sea the concept of Masculine and Feminine, but at the same time, I don't want to represent mermen as Feminine. I just don't think a Merman should equal Feminine, but I don't have a problem with a Feminine Merman, if that makes sense. What I'm looking for are island/ocean/tropical styled skirts that might be in the feminine outfit category that can pass for masculine. For me, CC isn't an option, so I'm hoping to draw from other people's experience playing other packs.
Does anyone have any suggestions for accessories that might appear to be Merfolk Royalty without CC?

My 8 Mermen that are Elder Heirs are essentially the 8 Princes of the Mua Pel'Am Pod. The status of Elder among merfolk means something significant because none of my merfolk will ever look old, a reference to popular merfolk appearances in mythology. While they are the equivalent of Princes and Princesses, the Elder Heirs are descendants of an Ancient Council of Merfolk that govern and protect the Mua Pel'Am Pod. They are leaders, and their status as a heir is determined by their solid, shimmering tail color: Blue, Pink, Green, Yellow, Red, Purple, and White.
Afu has a solid Blue Tail, but it does not have any shimmering effects. He is not a heir.

This isn't one of my original ideas, but for the purposes of coming up with a story under the limitations presented by the game, it's what I decided would work best.
Anyways, Symbols of Royalty or Higher Status like a crown would not be functional in or under the water. I know King Triton has a crown in the Disney film, but without having enough hair to hold it in place, a Crown just doesn't make sense. I've used specific Feminine Necklaces and Bracelets from City Living and Seasons, but I was wondering if anyone could make a suggestion I haven't thought of.

I like outfits that have a more natural look. For my merfolk, I want them to wear what they might be able to make in the sea. I'm okay with metals, but something organic that I can imagine isn't like cotton would work too. Anything made out of cotton is an absolute no for life in the water.
I reserve the Fish Net Top exclusively for Cold Weather and Adult Mermen. Poseidon knows that Adults, Young Adults, and Teens would look too similar without a visible difference, and that's another part of how I'm picking outfits for my merfolk.
Adult Mermen wear Necklaces, Bracelets, and A fish Net Top (I use the scale top for all mermaids)
Young Adult Merfolk and Adult Mermaids Wear Necklaces and Bracelets
Teen Merfolk (Merboys and Mergirls): Only wear bracelets (if anything).
So, a Prince Young Adult Merman would need a specific Necklace and Bracelet to represent their noble status. However, I wanted to look for suggestions from the feed while the topic of royalty is present. I will be doing my own work to decide things on my end.
The Problem with most CAS shirts in the spoiler
The biggest issue with most CAS shirts of any kind, with merfolk, is their lack of functionality in the water. I don't know if anyone has experienced, and I wouldn't recommend it, jumping into a pool fully clothed... Everyday clothing actually absorbs moisture and holds onto it... if you went into a pool with everyday human clothing on, the extra clothing would dramatically increase in weight from absorbed water. This creates drag that will force muscles to work harder to move you through the water... this can lead to drowning in real life and makes little sense when thinking about what an Aquatic Mythical Race would wear.
But, if anyone has suggestions, I'm all ears.
I have almost every pack and half the kits, so I have a LOT to look through. I just can't seem to find anything that I think would be suitable in the water. I grew up swimming at the beach, the pool, and I free dive. I know that a LOT of CAS outfits do not make any sense in the water, and I'm not yet experienced enough with all the different packs to figure out how I want my merfolk to look yet.
The Yellow Tail Elder Heir: Building Solara Shipping View
Late at night, Aiden chatted with his client about his latest project. His clients often wanted floor lights, kids beds, couches, and carved candles. At least, those were the best paying gigs, and Aiden needed a lot of funding if he was going to transform the old shipping container into a proper home. Aiden worked hard to breathe new life into a ruined world.
For his home, he took old wood and crafted upcycled planks that would form the additional "Rooms" that would surround the shipping container he woke up in.
Some of the Humans that returned to the recovering port also occasionally helped by repairing the broken wind turbines.
Aiden's diligence as a crafter allowed him to gain full control of his emotions. At will, he could change his emotions to meet the demands of whatever he needed to work on next.
When he couldn't make something, he created the parts that allowed him to improve its function. He fully upgraded his recycler, turned his wind turbines into lightning rods that could draw power from thunderstorms, and he fabricated a human bed that he personally upgraded to improve the quality of his sleep. Even if he made the bed himself, sleeping anywhere but in the water was difficult to adjust to.
Aiden also started raising crickets that would supply him with some basic crafting supplies. Crickets produced cricket meal, fertilizer, and fuel for appliances.
Nurturing the insects was time consuming, but the promise of bio-fuel and fertilizer for the garden made it worth it.
With humans returning to Port Promise, some of the more active individuals in the community began pushing for modern improvements in the port. A new sculpture was placed next door to Aiden's home, and the ruined roads were paved over. The presence of more humans also meant more people could keep the streets clean. As gifted as Aiden was with crafting, he couldn't begin to completely rebuild an entire world alone. At least, it would take him a long time to do what a community can do working together.
The impact Aiden had on the world was much more subtle than the Modern Development happening around him. Aiden's Home was like a ray of light in the industrial smog. Part of what drew people back to Port Promise was the sudden shift in the Eco Footprint. The port was suffocating under the pressure of industrial smog and dumpsters overflowed with trash. Aiden Upcycled whatever he could into something new, and he made an effort to clean up the environment in ways that Modern Development couldn't. In 1 week, the young merman neutralized a very potent shadow that hung over the port.
While the humans resumed their efforts to rebuild, Aiden continued to transform the Eco Footprint with Green Energy, Upcycling, and the Transformation of the Shipping Container that he used to be trapped inside.
When Humans weren't around, Aiden wore his merfolk attire. He was now landlocked, but he preferred to stay as close to his origins as possible, He could feel the call of the ocean, but his resolve to restore a ruined world kept him in Port Promise. Part of his regular chores was the maintained of wind turbines that powered his home. Aiden generated enough energy from the sky to get paid when bills arrived.
At night, he worked on making carved candles until he went to sleep in a pool or his human bed. He found a lot of joy in crafting new things.
The more the port recovered, the more Aiden noticed humans hanging around outside his house.
Eventually, the humans and a group of local artists came together to finish the last of the modern development. The old ruins were finally rebuilt and made better than ever.
For all the Humans did to rebuild and renovate, the actual Eco Footprint stopped improving. Aiden doubled his upcycling and green renovations to push the Port into a Green Eco Footprint, but something was preventing the neighborhood from improving. As the humans planted more trees to clean up the air, Aiden began planting yellow and orange flowers. The flowers wouldn't reach full bloom until spring of the next year.
Even after the humans finished planting the trees, the ports eco footprint simply wouldn't improve any further.
So, Aiden began more projects in his home. After constructing a kitchen that he could cook food for human guests in, he began making green modifications to the appliances. He also routinely repaired the wind turbines to keep the green energy flowing.
Since the humans returned to the world, Aiden no longer had to worry about recycling the trash that littered the streets, but the lack of recyclables also meant a reduction in available bits and pieces he could use to fabricate furniture and upgrade parts. Aiden began taking all the waste his home generated and used it to upcycle more creations. At this point, his home added power and water to the grid and pulled waste from the world to build new creations.
Aiden continued to work on his projects and raised more funds to expand his home, but something continued to nag at him.
Aiden: "Why hasn't Port Promise's Eco Footprint become Green yet?"
Not a single object in Aiden's home added to the industrial footprint, and almost everything made the world a greener place.

FTR, I don't like oversized crops. They take way too much time to grow, and their monetary yield ultimately isn't worth the time it takes to grow them. Their only true usage is entirely in the crop fairs.
For once, other Sims look as annoyed about celebrities and their antics as I always feel.
( I was playing this mod-free so they weren't caged in DSV anymore. Honestly, celebrities are the worst in this game as they're so horribly disruptive. )
Turns out as a nice touch, one of my fave colours is black so my Simself also likes black, and the first mani fae got was black, and fae got an extra moodlet from it being in faer favourite colour. I was kind of impressed honestly, pack integration is happening more now.
Sigh.

Eisenstern Legacy Current Heir: Juno ( generation 4 )
Honestly who let her in?
So ya'll might remember I got Private Practice, and um. Everyone in this house has a cold right now LOL the feel of passing a cold around a household is a relatable mood. But anyways, so turns out lovers have special romantic interactions when one has a sick, and Juno chose one of these ( offer tissues ) and like kind of melted my cold dead heart a little.
Nashi and Anzu ( pear and apricot ) were the first two chickens Juno got, so it seemed only right to turn them into the special chicken types. Apparently doing this deletes the original chicken and basically trades it for a special one rather than it being like an occult type or an object state, but okay. On the bright side, neither of them is an elder anymore.
Juno's animals are all named after fruits or something in Japanese. Aside from Ame who is just sweet, but otherwise we have:
Anzu ( apricot ), Budou ( grape ), Kaki ( persimmon ), Kashisu ( black currants ), Kudamono ( just the word for fruit ), Kuli ( chestnut ), Kyoho ( a type of grape variety, they're very large ), Nashi ( pear ), Suika ( watermelon ) and Sumomo ( plum ).
Shiny shiny golden eggs. $300 a pop! Daaaang!
They also consistently lay Robin blue eggs.

I started a Not So Berry challenge today. I'll still be playing my rotational save but I've been wanting to start a Not So Berry for awhile now so I went ahead and did it.
Here's my mint sim, Mindy Berry.
I built her a little house and immediately started having her work on her logic skill
The welcome wagon is perfect for working on the mischief skill
Mindy had her first day of work as a scientist. It went pretty well, she even got promoted (also it really annoys me that she doesn't wear her glasses to work but I'll get over it)
I'll probably just play this save whenever I feel like it, and switch back to my rotational save when I feel like playing one of those families. I always get bored and quit when I try to play challenges but hopefully that won't happen since I have the other save to switch to.
I gave my current noble merfolk an update based on what I've managed to come up with so far. I think I'm going to change a few of the titles because Elder and Elder Heir doesn't feel right to me. Since my first cycle is essentially building the essentials for my stories, I feel like I still have room to change something like a title.
I'm also going to join the going trend with this thread because it seems like it would be fun!
The Merfolk Kings, Queens, Princes, Princesses, Lords, and Ladies won't have the same exact treatment as human royalty and nobility. Merfolk in my game will not die from old age, so there won't be any new merfolk unless something happens to an existing mermaid or merman. Merfolk never reach the Elder Life Stage. The only merfolk life stages that will be present in my game are Teens, Young Adults, and Adults. My merfolk will be organized into a kind of immortal legacy, and that's what I'm building toward with them. Over time and without a frequent change in Merfolk Royalty, the Mua Pel'Am Merfolk have become much more informal in how they would approach Royalty.
The Last Monarchs to reign over various Worlds were gradually picked off by the Shadow of Morbius until their lineages were reduced to an almost nonexistent state. A few of the worlds the Monarchs looked after also fell into catastrophic ruin in their absence. Humans aren't aware of the Merfolk Royal Families and their Role in maintaining the worlds they watch over.
There are 7 Merfolk Royal Families, 1 Noble Merfolk Family, and a few commoner families.
The Zalrian Royal Family of Sulani
The Most Powerful, and intact, Royal Family is the Zalrian Royal Family. The Zalrian Royal Family protects and watches over Sulani. The Zalrians were the most devastated out of all the Royal Families. The Zalrians can only claim the throne if they have a Shimmering Blue Tail. The Zalrian King's two sons Kemps and Calum inherited their mother's tail. Many believed that Calum and Kemps were the last of the Zalrians and the throne would remain empty until the Elemental Twins, Dylan and Zephyr, were born.
The Zalrian Regent: Kemps Zalrian
The First Son of the long deceased Zalrian King. He didn't inherit his Father's Blue Tail, and consequently, he doesn't have a legitimate claim to the Zalrian Throne, but in the absence of a Blue Tail Zalrian, he became the Zalrian Regent and represents the only remaining Merfolk Royal Lineage. Kemps and Isla can't produce a heir because Isla is Transgender. Both of them are also unable to pass on the required tail color to produce a legitimate heir. Kemps wears the signature Blue Color of the Zalrian Royal Family when acting as Regent.
Regent Lady: Isla Zalrian
Originally born a merman, Isla knew she was a mermaid early on in life. With the support of her husband, Isla went on land to transition. Her transition has been largely successful, and it's difficult for most to believe that she wasn't born a mermaid. Kemps and Isla work together to watch over the Sulani Merfolk and the Merfolk's Sacred Island, Mua Pel'Am. Isla handles most of the relations between merfolk in Sulani while Kemps watches over the only two mermen with a legitimate claim to the throne.
Lord Calum Zalrian
Calum was torn between the Sea and the Islands. He was the first of the Sulani Merfolk to travel on land. As a Child of the Islands and a Child of the Sea, Calum could summon the Island Elementals. Eventually, Calum fell in love with the Elemental, Arihi Tilo. Calum is devoted to his family, and after Arihi joined Calum in the Sea, they had two young mermen, Dylan and Zephyr. Dylan and Zephyr were a miracle for the Zalrian Lineage because they had the Blue Tails required to claim the throne. Calum often plays a major role in looking after the Zalrian Heirs to the Throne and the Elementals that act as Pillars of Stability for Sulani.
Prince Dylan Zalrian
One of two Identical Twins with a legitimate claim to the Zalrian Throne. He is one of the Joint Crown Princes of Sulani. Dylan is a talented artist and master of music. Dylan is the Water Elemental and Spirit of the Sea. Aside from being a Prince of Sulani, he has a powerful spiritual connection with the sea.
Prince Zephyr Zalrian
One of two Identical Twins with a legitimate claim to the Zalrian Throne. He is one of the Joint Crown Princes of Sulani. Zephyr is a master of logic and reason. He is exceptionally handy. Zephyr is the Air Elemental and Spirit of the Sky. Aside from being a Prince of Sulani, he has a powerful spiritual connection with the Sky.
Lady Ember Zalrian
As the Fire Elemental and Spirit of the Volcano, Ember was not born a mermaid. Instead, she was born a spellcaster with the power to set anything ablaze. Ember loves food and is often cheerful. She loves cooking and baking. Her dream is to open a restaurant. For now, she's mastering her magic.
Lady Jade Zalrian
As an Earth Elemental and Spirit of the Moon, Jade was not born a mermaid. Instead, she was born a Vampire. Jade is athletic and loves sports. She's learning to master her power over the night. Jade is Juniper's Twin Sister.
Lord Juniper Zalrian
As an Earth Elemental and Spirit of the Sun, Juniper has a tendency to change his form depending on whatever has a connection to plants. As a child, he was a plant capable of Photosynthesis. When that wore off, he ate mermadic kelp and became a merman for now. He's like a seedling that is still growing into whatever he's meant to be. Juniper is Jade's Twin Brother.
The Galleon Royal Family of Henford-on-Bagley
The Merfolk that lived in the Rivers of Henford-on-Bagley vanished after their Royal Family was decimated. Jack survived, but he was frozen inside a small pond and didn't wake up from his frozen state until early spring. How he ended up like that is a mystery to Jack, but his entire family along with any merfolk he might've known have long since passed on.
Only Merfolk with a Shimmering Pink Tail can claim the Henford-on-Bagley Merfolk Throne.

The Finley Royal Family of Brindleton Bay
Alen was left in a coma under an abandoned beach house. Someone was intent on burning it down with him in it. Most of the Brindleton Bay Merfolk vanished along with the Finley Royal Family, but a few remained and help Alen care for the Animals that are the heart and soul of the world.
Only Merfolk with a Shimmering Green Tail can claim the Brindleton Merfolk Throne.

The Sol Royal Family of Evergreen Harbor
Aiden was locked inside an old shipping container. The world his family watched over was brought to total ruin. Humans, unable to fix the problems in the world, left for other worlds. After Aiden got free of his prison, he restored one of three major regions of his world. He still remembers his connection to Mua Pel'Am, and even though Mua Pel'Am might need his help, he couldn't leave Evergreen Harbor in its sorry state.
Only Merfolk with a Shimmering Yellow Tail can claim the Evergreen Harbor Merfolk Throne.

The entire Furystrykar household went over to Heart Studios Del Sol Valley. Shine and Benjamin Furystrykar were going to do the Heart to Heart show! Tiffany Furystrykar was on the camera and Chloe Furystrykar was on sound and special effects duty. Finally, it was time! 'Hello, I'm Benjamin!'

The pair had fun chatting to each other, and talking about various topics:
Chloe turned on the edible confetti, which signified that it was time to announce birthdays!
After that was over, Chloe made autumn leaves fall from the ceiling!

The show ended. Chloe turned off the special effects and Tiffany turned the camera off. Tiffany and Chloe went into their dressing room. Wendy was already there, relaxing. Benjamin made himself a macchiato:

Claire also found out that she is unexpectantly pregnant which was a rather fun surprise.
Even though Danielle quit her Freelance Artist career, she still loves to paint. She's been painting a lot because she and Travis are trying to save for a bigger house so they can have kids.
Liberty came over and hung out for a little bit
Sage was at the gym and attended Danielle's second class of the day. This is why I love playing rotationally, it's fun seeing my sims around town when I'm not playing them.
More people came to the second class, but everyone except Sage left before it was over because their hygiene got low, so Danielle didn't get paid much for that one
The same few people were coming to her classes at the gym, so Danielle decided to go to the park and teach a class there since it had stopped raining
Danielle also started giving massages. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep having her do that, though, because not everyone pays her and that's kind of annoying.

The Yellow Tail Elder Heir: Merman Attire or Human Eco Living Fashion
In an effort to break up my post, I thought I would share some bits and pieces.
So, I had Aiden try on outfits after he Fabricated a Dresser. It turns out that Aiden almost has an exclusive preference for his Merman Attire over his outfits from Eco Living.

All merfolk outfits, mermen and mermaids, are designed around what they look like in their merform.
So, I focused on making sure that, if they suddenly changed back to their merform, they could theoretically still wear the outfit, hence the skirts.
Also, Aiden is shirtless in his merform, so I decided that the same would go for any of his merman attire.
As I imagine it, merfolk aren't affected by temperatures like human sims, so they can be shirtless or wear fewer layers in extreme temperatures.
Arun met Justin Delgato randomly in the hallway one day. They hit it off.
Arun: Welcome home, sweetie, meet Justin!
Jesminder: I had a terrible day at work, how come you invited a friend without checking with me first, this apartment is too crowded already and gaaahhhh
Justin: Uh, thanks for hanging out with me, see you later...
Arun had fun at GeekCon. He won the programming contest. The prize was the same computer he already has. He thought about reasons to claim he needs two, but Jesminder's right about needing a bigger apartment... he sold it. That was very noble of him.
Adeline completed her whiz kid aspiration. She's fully comfortable with being Mentally Gifted.
She and Mom both like to mix potions.
Mom has a new bar trick called the Fireball.
Who knew the Fireball could actually cause fires?
Jesminder completed her mixology aspiration. She's very happy at work. Apparently they know what's good for them, and will keep her on even if she loses her temper now and then, because she's that talented a mixologist. Now she is turning her energies to helping her family succeed in life. Aw, Adeline- she's so happy that Mom is finally reading to her for the first time! (usually Arun takes parenting duty)
They have a good social life. Jesminder and Grace Anansi are close. Miko brought pizza over one evening.
They get together with the Rasoyas often. (Jesminder is always making some kind of face even in the background...)
Arun became an adult. His look is now full-on techie dad. He earned the Mentor trait. He has always loved teaching Adeline things.
His best friend Atharv is still a big part of his life, even if it's sometimes a little ambiguously more than friendly... Atharv wants this more than Arun does
Arun is doing his best to keep it just friendly. Sometimes some friends need reminding about that.
Arun has had a midlife crisis and decided he needs to get in shape.
Jesminder: You're being ridiculous.
Arun: Now who's ridiculous?
Jesminder: I can't figure out whether this is more satisfying than hitting the stuffed animal or not. Maybe we should just keep both.

The first to come out of the coop were Hilda and Angus McTavish the Second, a golden hen chick and a golden rooster chick. Princess Roddy gave them some affection:

After cleaning out the coop and collecting eggs, the princess then cuddled his 3 hens, Prudence, a golden hen, Sybil, a black hen and Sadie, a brown hen:
Lastly, Princess Roddy went over to the cow shed, where his brown cow, Belle, was situated. He cleaned out the shed, and gave Belle a brushing:

Belle mooed in happiness. After tending to his raspberries and chocoberries, Princess Roddy grabbed 6 fresh golden eggs from the fridge and set off for Finchwick.
This came from a birthday cake botch where I accidently aged Gabe up to an elder. I decided not to fix it as a lesson to myself. Storyline-wise, this was the result of a corrupted birthday wish.
Sometimes Sims do the darndest things when you're not looking like Cosmo Kramer sneaking an embrace with Gabe's wife.
Since Gabe is short for Gabriel, I named the son that and the daughter, the female version, Gabrielle. It appears that Gabrielle has inherited her mother's skin color.
Finally, here's Jules and her dad potty training together.
This was around the time of City Living and I was looking for more costumes for Geek Con.

By the way, Agnes Crumplebottom isn't in my game, and it will be a long time till she returns to Henford on Bagley (Thank goodness for the townieoverhaul_lessfame mod and the nonewcrumplebottom module). Want to know the reason? Strap in, folks. It's a long one!
Princess Roddy then heard something going on inside the Gnome's Arms. 'Oh dear...' he sighed. 'What is it?' Agatha Crumplebottom asked. 'Seems aunt Chloe Furystrykar has taken a liking to your cousin....and it's not going well.' Princess Roddy replied. Indeed, Chloe was attempting to flirt with Agnes, not to tease her, but because she genuinely liked Agnes. And it was going wrong.
'Oh come on Agnes, let someone into your life, for once!' Chloe said. Agnes wasn't listening. She punched Chloe, and a fight ensued:
Realisation hit Princess Roddy. 'Chloe, DRINK THE DEFIB IN A BOTTLE!' he telepathically said. He knew that Chloe had a rare condition that sends her adrenaline levels into overdrive whenever she is very sad. If Chloe didn't drink the defib in a bottle, she would die by an adrenaline attack. Chloe did so. Agnes beat Chloe. And to add insult to injury, Agnes callously threw a drink at Chloe:
Chloe went very sad... 'What's the matter, you rapscallion? Had enough?' Agnes said, taunting the poor woman. 'U-uugh...I'm...going to...AAAARGH!' Chloe screamed as her adrenaline levels went into overdrive, poisoning her:
'Serves you right!' Agnes shouted. Chloe keeled over:
A few seconds later, she was revived by the defib in a bottle. Princess Roddy and Benjamin saw the whole thing:
'Are you all right, big sister?' Benjamin asked, sobbing. 'I...I'm ok, little brother.' Chloe replied, still weak. Princess Roddy and Benjamin breathed a sigh of relief. Relief turned to anger. Benjamin casted inferniate at Agnes:
Agatha walked over to Agnes. 'You've crossed the line, cousin. I'm disowning you!' Agatha said, angrily. There was more to come for Agnes.
A few weeks later, it was time for the trial. Agnes pleaded not guilty. Several witnesses took the stand to testify, and each was cross examined by the prosecution and Agnes's lawyer. Then it was time for Agnes to testify. Her version of what happened didn't match up with what the witnesses saw. Lastly, it was time for Chloe to tell her side of the story. After the prosecution and defence had cross examined her, Chloe fainted. The last attack had damaged Chloe's lungs. She was taken to the medical ward of the courthouse to recover.
After considering the evidence, the 12 jurors, which included 6 men and 6 women, all of different nationalities, signalled to the judge that they were ready. 'Are you ready to give your verdict, jurors?' the judge asked. 'Yes, your honour.' one of the men replied. 'Ok, and what is your verdict?' the judge asked. 'We the jury find Mrs Agnes Crumplebottom guilty of assault.' one of the women responded. The judge brought down her gavel. 'Very well. This court finds Mrs Agnes Crumplebottom guilty of assault. Sentencing will be on a later date. Court adjourned!' she said.
A few days later, it was time for sentencing. Chloe had recovered. 'Court is now in session for the sentencing of Mrs Agnes Crumplebottom. Before I hand down the sentence. I warn you, Mrs Crumplebottom, that assault on a member of his royal majesty's family is a serious crime.' the judge said, sternly. 'I don't care who she was, she deserved getting beaten up! You young 'uns and your lack of manners!' Agnes ranted. The judge furiously banged her gavel down. 'ORDER, ORDER! Now listen here, Mrs Crumplebottom. This is a court of law, not a place to rant and rave. And also, I have been very polite here. We all have. You are the one with a lack of manners. Now be quiet or the charge of contempt of court will be added!' she said, annoyed. That shut Agnes up. The judge turned to the jurors. 'Now, jury of the court, what do you suggest the sentence shall be?' she asked. One of the jurors stepped forward. 'We the jury recommend the sentence of jail for 30 years.' she replied. The judge nodded. 'Very well. Mrs Agnes Crumplebottom, you are hereby sentenced to 30 years in prison.' she said, bringing down her gavel. 'Court adjourned!' she added.
Mrs Agnes Crumplebottom was led away to be put in prison. Mayor Lavina Chopra announced that Agnes Crumplebottom was banned from entering Henford-on-Bagley for life when she got out of prison. She was also banned from entering Brindleton Bay by the order of Mayor Whiskers.

The Yellow Tail Elder Heir: Merman Attire or Human Eco Living Fashion: Part 2
I'm still debating on exactly what I want for merfolk attire. Island Living didn't really give a lot to work with, and I didn't like the Batuu outfits. I wish I had more to work with, but I don't have mods. But, my core idea is to take their appearance in (What I consider their true form) and design their outfits around that.
For Clothing, there are a few key reasons why people wear clothes. For my merfolk, I'm trying to think about functionality and symbols of status. I'm hoping that, by the time I finish my first rotation cycle, I'll have things figured out. I want my merfolk to be able to embrace their identity as merfolk by wearing stuff that reflects their identity. They can't do enough stuff in their merform, so I'm just trying to increase their presence as merfolk in my game. Don't know if any of that makes sense. I plan on creating 5 different outfits in every category.

Disclaimer:
Anyways, Symbols of Royalty or Higher Status like a crown would not be functional in or under the water. I know King Triton has a crown in the Disney film, but without having enough hair to hold it in place, a Crown just doesn't make sense. I've used specific Feminine Necklaces and Bracelets from City Living and Seasons, but I was wondering if anyone could make a suggestion I haven't thought of.

I reserve the Fish Net Top exclusively for Cold Weather and Adult Mermen. Poseidon knows that Adults, Young Adults, and Teens would look too similar without a visible difference, and that's another part of how I'm picking outfits for my merfolk.
Adult Mermen wear Necklaces, Bracelets, and A fish Net Top (I use the scale top for all mermaids)
Young Adult Merfolk and Adult Mermaids Wear Necklaces and Bracelets
Teen Merfolk (Merboys and Mergirls): Only wear bracelets (if anything).
So, a Prince Young Adult Merman would need a specific Necklace and Bracelet to represent their noble status. However, I wanted to look for suggestions from the feed while the topic of royalty is present. I will be doing my own work to decide things on my end.

I have almost every pack and half the kits, so I have a LOT to look through. I just can't seem to find anything that I think would be suitable in the water. I grew up swimming at the beach, the pool, and I free dive. I know that a LOT of CAS outfits do not make any sense in the water, and I'm not yet experienced enough with all the different packs to figure out how I want my merfolk to look yet.

The Yellow Tail Elder Heir: Building Solara Shipping View
Late at night, Aiden chatted with his client about his latest project. His clients often wanted floor lights, kids beds, couches, and carved candles. At least, those were the best paying gigs, and Aiden needed a lot of funding if he was going to transform the old shipping container into a proper home. Aiden worked hard to breathe new life into a ruined world.
Some of the Humans that returned to the recovering port also occasionally helped by repairing the broken wind turbines.
Aiden's diligence as a crafter allowed him to gain full control of his emotions. At will, he could change his emotions to meet the demands of whatever he needed to work on next.
When he couldn't make something, he created the parts that allowed him to improve its function. He fully upgraded his recycler, turned his wind turbines into lightning rods that could draw power from thunderstorms, and he fabricated a human bed that he personally upgraded to improve the quality of his sleep. Even if he made the bed himself, sleeping anywhere but in the water was difficult to adjust to.
Aiden also started raising crickets that would supply him with some basic crafting supplies. Crickets produced cricket meal, fertilizer, and fuel for appliances.
Nurturing the insects was time consuming, but the promise of bio-fuel and fertilizer for the garden made it worth it.
With humans returning to Port Promise, some of the more active individuals in the community began pushing for modern improvements in the port. A new sculpture was placed next door to Aiden's home, and the ruined roads were paved over. The presence of more humans also meant more people could keep the streets clean. As gifted as Aiden was with crafting, he couldn't begin to completely rebuild an entire world alone. At least, it would take him a long time to do what a community can do working together.
The impact Aiden had on the world was much more subtle than the Modern Development happening around him. Aiden's Home was like a ray of light in the industrial smog. Part of what drew people back to Port Promise was the sudden shift in the Eco Footprint. The port was suffocating under the pressure of industrial smog and dumpsters overflowed with trash. Aiden Upcycled whatever he could into something new, and he made an effort to clean up the environment in ways that Modern Development couldn't. In 1 week, the young merman neutralized a very potent shadow that hung over the port.
While the humans resumed their efforts to rebuild, Aiden continued to transform the Eco Footprint with Green Energy, Upcycling, and the Transformation of the Shipping Container that he used to be trapped inside.
When Humans weren't around, Aiden wore his merfolk attire. He was now landlocked, but he preferred to stay as close to his origins as possible, He could feel the call of the ocean, but his resolve to restore a ruined world kept him in Port Promise. Part of his regular chores was the maintained of wind turbines that powered his home. Aiden generated enough energy from the sky to get paid when bills arrived.
At night, he worked on making carved candles until he went to sleep in a pool or his human bed. He found a lot of joy in crafting new things.
The more the port recovered, the more Aiden noticed humans hanging around outside his house.
Eventually, the humans and a group of local artists came together to finish the last of the modern development. The old ruins were finally rebuilt and made better than ever.
For all the Humans did to rebuild and renovate, the actual Eco Footprint stopped improving. Aiden doubled his upcycling and green renovations to push the Port into a Green Eco Footprint, but something was preventing the neighborhood from improving. As the humans planted more trees to clean up the air, Aiden began planting yellow and orange flowers. The flowers wouldn't reach full bloom until spring of the next year.
Even after the humans finished planting the trees, the ports eco footprint simply wouldn't improve any further.
So, Aiden began more projects in his home. After constructing a kitchen that he could cook food for human guests in, he began making green modifications to the appliances. He also routinely repaired the wind turbines to keep the green energy flowing.
Since the humans returned to the world, Aiden no longer had to worry about recycling the trash that littered the streets, but the lack of recyclables also meant a reduction in available bits and pieces he could use to fabricate furniture and upgrade parts. Aiden began taking all the waste his home generated and used it to upcycle more creations. At this point, his home added power and water to the grid and pulled waste from the world to build new creations.
Aiden continued to work on his projects and raised more funds to expand his home, but something continued to nag at him.

Not a single object in Aiden's home added to the industrial footprint, and almost everything made the world a greener place.

FTR, I don't like oversized crops. They take way too much time to grow, and their monetary yield ultimately isn't worth the time it takes to grow them. Their only true usage is entirely in the crop fairs.
For once, other Sims look as annoyed about celebrities and their antics as I always feel.
( I was playing this mod-free so they weren't caged in DSV anymore. Honestly, celebrities are the worst in this game as they're so horribly disruptive. )
Turns out as a nice touch, one of my fave colours is black so my Simself also likes black, and the first mani fae got was black, and fae got an extra moodlet from it being in faer favourite colour. I was kind of impressed honestly, pack integration is happening more now.

Honestly who let her in?
So ya'll might remember I got Private Practice, and um. Everyone in this house has a cold right now LOL the feel of passing a cold around a household is a relatable mood. But anyways, so turns out lovers have special romantic interactions when one has a sick, and Juno chose one of these ( offer tissues ) and like kind of melted my cold dead heart a little.
Nashi and Anzu ( pear and apricot ) were the first two chickens Juno got, so it seemed only right to turn them into the special chicken types. Apparently doing this deletes the original chicken and basically trades it for a special one rather than it being like an occult type or an object state, but okay. On the bright side, neither of them is an elder anymore.
Juno's animals are all named after fruits or something in Japanese. Aside from Ame who is just sweet, but otherwise we have:
Anzu ( apricot ), Budou ( grape ), Kaki ( persimmon ), Kashisu ( black currants ), Kudamono ( just the word for fruit ), Kuli ( chestnut ), Kyoho ( a type of grape variety, they're very large ), Nashi ( pear ), Suika ( watermelon ) and Sumomo ( plum ).
Shiny shiny golden eggs. $300 a pop! Daaaang!
They also consistently lay Robin blue eggs.

Mindy had her first day of work as a scientist. It went pretty well, she even got promoted (also it really annoys me that she doesn't wear her glasses to work but I'll get over it)
I'll probably just play this save whenever I feel like it, and switch back to my rotational save when I feel like playing one of those families. I always get bored and quit when I try to play challenges but hopefully that won't happen since I have the other save to switch to.

The Merfolk Kings, Queens, Princes, Princesses, Lords, and Ladies won't have the same exact treatment as human royalty and nobility. Merfolk in my game will not die from old age, so there won't be any new merfolk unless something happens to an existing mermaid or merman. Merfolk never reach the Elder Life Stage. The only merfolk life stages that will be present in my game are Teens, Young Adults, and Adults. My merfolk will be organized into a kind of immortal legacy, and that's what I'm building toward with them. Over time and without a frequent change in Merfolk Royalty, the Mua Pel'Am Merfolk have become much more informal in how they would approach Royalty.
The Last Monarchs to reign over various Worlds were gradually picked off by the Shadow of Morbius until their lineages were reduced to an almost nonexistent state. A few of the worlds the Monarchs looked after also fell into catastrophic ruin in their absence. Humans aren't aware of the Merfolk Royal Families and their Role in maintaining the worlds they watch over.
There are 7 Merfolk Royal Families, 1 Noble Merfolk Family, and a few commoner families.
The Zalrian Royal Family of Sulani
The Most Powerful, and intact, Royal Family is the Zalrian Royal Family. The Zalrian Royal Family protects and watches over Sulani. The Zalrians were the most devastated out of all the Royal Families. The Zalrians can only claim the throne if they have a Shimmering Blue Tail. The Zalrian King's two sons Kemps and Calum inherited their mother's tail. Many believed that Calum and Kemps were the last of the Zalrians and the throne would remain empty until the Elemental Twins, Dylan and Zephyr, were born.
The Zalrian Regent: Kemps Zalrian
The First Son of the long deceased Zalrian King. He didn't inherit his Father's Blue Tail, and consequently, he doesn't have a legitimate claim to the Zalrian Throne, but in the absence of a Blue Tail Zalrian, he became the Zalrian Regent and represents the only remaining Merfolk Royal Lineage. Kemps and Isla can't produce a heir because Isla is Transgender. Both of them are also unable to pass on the required tail color to produce a legitimate heir. Kemps wears the signature Blue Color of the Zalrian Royal Family when acting as Regent.
Regent Lady: Isla Zalrian
Originally born a merman, Isla knew she was a mermaid early on in life. With the support of her husband, Isla went on land to transition. Her transition has been largely successful, and it's difficult for most to believe that she wasn't born a mermaid. Kemps and Isla work together to watch over the Sulani Merfolk and the Merfolk's Sacred Island, Mua Pel'Am. Isla handles most of the relations between merfolk in Sulani while Kemps watches over the only two mermen with a legitimate claim to the throne.
Lord Calum Zalrian
Calum was torn between the Sea and the Islands. He was the first of the Sulani Merfolk to travel on land. As a Child of the Islands and a Child of the Sea, Calum could summon the Island Elementals. Eventually, Calum fell in love with the Elemental, Arihi Tilo. Calum is devoted to his family, and after Arihi joined Calum in the Sea, they had two young mermen, Dylan and Zephyr. Dylan and Zephyr were a miracle for the Zalrian Lineage because they had the Blue Tails required to claim the throne. Calum often plays a major role in looking after the Zalrian Heirs to the Throne and the Elementals that act as Pillars of Stability for Sulani.
Prince Dylan Zalrian
One of two Identical Twins with a legitimate claim to the Zalrian Throne. He is one of the Joint Crown Princes of Sulani. Dylan is a talented artist and master of music. Dylan is the Water Elemental and Spirit of the Sea. Aside from being a Prince of Sulani, he has a powerful spiritual connection with the sea.
Prince Zephyr Zalrian
One of two Identical Twins with a legitimate claim to the Zalrian Throne. He is one of the Joint Crown Princes of Sulani. Zephyr is a master of logic and reason. He is exceptionally handy. Zephyr is the Air Elemental and Spirit of the Sky. Aside from being a Prince of Sulani, he has a powerful spiritual connection with the Sky.
Lady Ember Zalrian
As the Fire Elemental and Spirit of the Volcano, Ember was not born a mermaid. Instead, she was born a spellcaster with the power to set anything ablaze. Ember loves food and is often cheerful. She loves cooking and baking. Her dream is to open a restaurant. For now, she's mastering her magic.
Lady Jade Zalrian
As an Earth Elemental and Spirit of the Moon, Jade was not born a mermaid. Instead, she was born a Vampire. Jade is athletic and loves sports. She's learning to master her power over the night. Jade is Juniper's Twin Sister.
Lord Juniper Zalrian
As an Earth Elemental and Spirit of the Sun, Juniper has a tendency to change his form depending on whatever has a connection to plants. As a child, he was a plant capable of Photosynthesis. When that wore off, he ate mermadic kelp and became a merman for now. He's like a seedling that is still growing into whatever he's meant to be. Juniper is Jade's Twin Brother.
The Galleon Royal Family of Henford-on-Bagley
The Merfolk that lived in the Rivers of Henford-on-Bagley vanished after their Royal Family was decimated. Jack survived, but he was frozen inside a small pond and didn't wake up from his frozen state until early spring. How he ended up like that is a mystery to Jack, but his entire family along with any merfolk he might've known have long since passed on.
Only Merfolk with a Shimmering Pink Tail can claim the Henford-on-Bagley Merfolk Throne.

The Finley Royal Family of Brindleton Bay
Alen was left in a coma under an abandoned beach house. Someone was intent on burning it down with him in it. Most of the Brindleton Bay Merfolk vanished along with the Finley Royal Family, but a few remained and help Alen care for the Animals that are the heart and soul of the world.
Only Merfolk with a Shimmering Green Tail can claim the Brindleton Merfolk Throne.

Aiden was locked inside an old shipping container. The world his family watched over was brought to total ruin. Humans, unable to fix the problems in the world, left for other worlds. After Aiden got free of his prison, he restored one of three major regions of his world. He still remembers his connection to Mua Pel'Am, and even though Mua Pel'Am might need his help, he couldn't leave Evergreen Harbor in its sorry state.
Only Merfolk with a Shimmering Yellow Tail can claim the Evergreen Harbor Merfolk Throne.
