@DeafSimmer What a sweet story. Both the wee girls are so cute! I love that they have the magical powers, too. I used to watch the original "Bewitched" years ago when it first aired. Once they brought a baby into the mix, that was the big question. Since Tabitha's father was human (as in non-magical) it was wondered would she inherit enough from her mother, Samantha.
I haven't drawn any other sims yet but I want to. I'm just trying to figure out which one I would draw next.
I did that picture of Penny digitally because that's the medium I'm most comfortable with.
And no, I'm not going to an art school. I was planning on applying to become an art teacher but the entrance exams were overlapping with two other schools' exams (and those two I can apply to with just one test which is a lot easier and less risky). I just wanted to give myself better chances to get into school and by applying to two schools instead of one, I've already doubled my chances :'D
The entrance exams to become an art teacher would've taken 3 days (the first 2 days are for everyone and then they eliminate people and after the third day they eliminate the rest) and I don't feel like taking 3 days off from work for that... The chances of me getting in would've been so small because it's a pretty popular field. So, I'm currently trying to get into school to become an English teacher instead (and I'm probably gonna choose another language to study as well to make myself more employable).
I've never really wanted to do art for a living anyway because I'm afraid it's gonna suck all the inspiration out of me. I worry I'd end up disliking it because I would have to do it because it would be my source of income whereas now I'm only doing it because I enjoy doing it.
Now that I'm self-isolated with my bf because of this c-virus, I finally have time to play daily.

So, my legacy heir went to uni and on her first day, she went to the local bar where she met this guy who goes to the same classes as her.
They talked for a long time and had fun together. Well, he had one drink too many and decided to kiss her out of the blue.

On the next day, her fiancé (yikes!) asked her out for a date.

A cute young adult sim, with dreams of her name heard around the world. She just moved into a tiny home starter in Del Sol Valley and has just begun her career in show business!
Millie Hecking invited her boyfriend Maximilian to visit for a weekend, now that she and her fathers have moved to Sulani. I'm sorry to say my sims do not have a knack for social distancing.

I feel that no one could possibly have foreseen this outcome.
But at least the sims can just order some medicine from the computer and everything is alright again!
In other news, the Sims Health Organization is currently looking at the use of bear suits as protective gear.
In real world news, my granddaughter's stepfather's coworker tested positive, so she has to stay at her mom's house and they're all in real quarantine for two weeks because of the degree to which he was exposed. There's some chance she could have carried it to her dad's house (my stepson), where we were briefly last week, so all of us have a low level chance of exposure. So that's fun. And it's allergy season so my husband and I have scratchy throats and mild coughs anyway. So far it's been almost a week since we've been out of our house though, and no fevers or anything so hopefully everything is fine.
Anyway, more sim teenagers absolutely not practicing social distancing under the spoiler.
First, they went and checked out the haunted campsite. It's kind of like a scientific base camp on the side of a volcano that was found suddenly deserted and turned into a national park. It's preserved exactly as it was when the scientists disappeared.
I got a weird glitch where Millie went invisible for a moment, so her food floated in the air as if there was a ghost.
She reappeared as soon as Max walked up though.
"Why do we want to go in some creepy abandoned tent?" "Get in here and I'll show you why."
The campsite has a swing. Not sure how that was helpful for scientific research.
But they look cute playing with it, whether it makes sense or not.
It was getting dark, so they went back to the Heckings' new house. Outside Millie asked Max to exchange promise rings. I think it looks like she's either going to lasso him with it or throw it for him to fetch. Pretty sure I know who's in charge in this relationship.
Since the menu option said "exchange promise rings" I thought she'd get one too, but she didn't.
Then they went inside to bed. Fortunately I don't have any mods that would bring on unintended consequences.
In the morning they got to be embarrassed by Brant in his hearty boxers.
After Max left Brant realized he'd never given Millie the woohoo talk. A little late and a lot embarrassing, Dad.
And just because he's not in any of the photos above, here's Brent helping Millie with her school project. He was very tan.
Millie's two fathers live in the same household, so we're gonna let this one go.
But if you must go to the beach, try to keep a distance from other visitors.
Also, maybe put some clothes on to light a fire.
I enjoy taking sims to the clothing optional beach to see who will opt out. Even with the censors, I'm gonna put these pictures under another spoiler.
I missed getting the shot where a woman walked by while Brant was on his back and she was smiling in just the right direction... too slow on the pause button! Anyway, Brant's not shy.
Neither is the new eco-villainess siren, Lily.
Like many of us these days, Brent has been working from home. But in his case that means being out at the beach a lot. At least he mostly works alone. I am amused by this odd pose while he was clearing a path to enter the cave.
I feel like he should be throwing a discus or something.
Anyway, he also did a survey of frogs at the waterfall.
And Brant came over from the nude beach with... other ideas.
They do sometimes wear clothes though. Here they're trying Brant's first batch of kava.
And since I didn't play them until they moved here, their dog Rosie is still alive. She enjoys walks on the beach.
Rosie is currently in heat, and the only member of the house who didn't get any woohoo this rotation. That seems unfair.
That's all for now! I still need to age Millie up and then it's on to the next household. Max will have his birthday when I get to his family in the rotation. That's why I had them spend so much time together now, because they won't both be teens when I switch to his house.
Well, MCCC has just informed me that Bella Goth has remarried for the third time. Akira Kibo. Oh this is going to really volatile. A cheat and a jealous type. Gotta love the MCCC.
However, the big news is - I'm going to have a grandkid! MCCC says it's a girl!
And she has a chance to be a mage too. The only thing that concerns me is that Victoria is going to be a single mom, but - if that's what she wants, I'll support her.
I don't know how many people have done a story as high drama, yet real action, as yours! 😯So Atlas really needed that spell 😊 I'm so glad he'd learned it!
I didn't know that Ioana wasn't aware that Vlad was her father. Did she grow up thinking her adoptive parents were her real parents?
I'm sure that hearing something like that would be emotionally overtaking. To find out you had a father you never knew, and then hear that you'd never get a chance to know him would be heartbreaking.
Probably other people caught on to what was happening with Morgyn faster than I did. Sometimes it takes me a minute to catch everything 😉

I agree that Thorne and Don will face some difficulties, especially because of what Thorne did to Don. But Thorne needs to totally forgive Don for what he did to Mary-Alice too. He hated the man who hurt her like that for so many years, before knowing who he was, that the hate is pretty deep.
All they can do is try. Don really really wanted to be with Thorne to raise their child together. But if being with Thorne is going to cause emotional damage to Kalila he will definitely leave him.
I can say that Don isn't likely to be a player anymore. He finally found something more important than sleeping with everyone in the world, lol. His baby. You are right. He wants to raise her right, and that would be a very bad example for her to see. 😊

Oh shoot!! I didn't realize that you were job searching right now. You're right! There are so many people out of work now, it's crazy! Sadly my daughter in law has already lost her job permanently. The company will be very lucky if it doesn't go completely bankrupt, and they let thousands of people go already.
I know that I constantly read that if you want a guaranteed job you should work in health care. This is certainly proof of that! There are not even enough health care providers right now, as far as I know.
Thanks for your praise of my daughter. She truly is amazing. I do think that a lot of her success comes from the personality she was born with. My boys are wonderful, but they do not have her zeal, or her outgoing personality. None of us do. The boys inherited my introverted personality. And I do think it's genetic, because I raised all of them the same, but she is totally her own person, lol!
She did apply for the position to be the coordinator, I'm not sure when she will hear if she got it. I'm not sure how many people were asked to apply. I helped her fill out the application though, and she certainly sounds perfect for the job, based on the questions they asked. 😊
That is just so amazing that your mom picked such a wonderful man for her second husband. It seems that she overcame every bit of her codependency. She left your father and made sure to find someone who would not ever be like him. Often it's a pattern, and you end up picking someone very similar again. I am so happy for her! It's funny that you mentioned the J that you had that was such a good father. Becka28 had J as a father in a 100 baby challenge and he came over all the time to help with his own child, even bathing him and feeding him. And then, when his child aged up and moved out he continued coming over to help with other children that she had! So, he can be a good parent. But she's had him be an awful absentee father too. I don't think I need more babies in that save anyway, lol. He and Raj can stay footloose and fancy free.
The funniest thing is that Raj has the player aspiration set when he shows up in the game. I changed it when J had that crying fit 😂
You got the "My name is Mary-Alice" part exactly right. The end of innocence, the end of the fantasy life she was living. Suzie certainly seemed to have more luck with boys than Mary-Alice ever did, but in reality Suzie was naive. So she was better off being Mary-Alice. I assume other people picked up on that too then. I know very very little about the canon of the pre-mades. I never played them in Sims 1 or 2 and didn't have 3. I always thought they were dumb looking, and their houses were awful 😅
Reading this thread got me interested enough in them to start the save I mentioned, where I use all of them, having them all have kids. After I got to know them, I put them back into my main saves. But none of the ones in Willow Creek or Brindleton Bay have their homes anymore. They were bulldozed long ago in the Ian and Lawrence save, and every plot of land is used. I have 11 played families just in that one Willow Creek 😄. So anyway, most likely I will never be sticking with canon in my stories, because I don't know it! Although so many people complain that 4 is so different from 1 and 2 that it really doesn't matter. And Maxis says it's a new universe, so I'm not going to worry too much about it, lol
But yeah, Don seems so damaged to me, and I figured I could give him a reason to be.
Lol, I did let Thorne play his guitar and sing once before I skilled him up, because I'd heard how awful he is. Lol, he sure is! But like I said, it's beautiful now, and he hasn't even made it to 9 yet. I can't imagine how good he is at 10.

Ahhh, ok. She was doing it for herself as a teen. The only teen I did it extensively with was Malcolm Landgraab. As he starts out with Evil and snob, he's difficult to fix. But I got all but one of the traits for him, so I know exactly what you mean about the sorts of things you can do to bring those levels up. He would come back from volunteering raging mad though, so I only tried twice. His empathy was quite difficult to achieve. Manners was the easiest. I'm glad volunteering worked for Sandra 😊

I am excited. Ever since I got Realm of Magic I have wanted this to happen. L to have kids with spellcaster and her to have a child and to my very pleasant surprise, it was Simeon they also got married. They had twins MCCC lets me name babies so I named their son Solomon and their daughter Pandora. The Game finally did my bidding for me. I was beginning to think I was going to have to cheat in a romantic relationship with them and use MCCC to marry them off. I didn't have to do that. My spellcasters Valkyrie and Elizabeth had twins too.2 Sages had children on their own. They didn't move to a world until Solomon and Pandora were tens. I can only gather that they spent their childhood when they weren't in club activities in the Magic Realm. I really want to see what their offspring will bring. Okay so you already have the next Generation in charge! Are you doing it where they stay in the home where they were born? You mentioned that the other kids have moved away.
I never do these kind of challenges, so I always wonder if people do them the same way, and most people keep the family in the same house and just keep making it nicer every generation. 😊
Oh, the heir must remain on the original lot. It's less following the challenge to the letter and more just trying to add an additional depth to normal TS4 gameplay.
In general, the family started with Aiden basically fishing, beachcombing, and gardening to earn money. So essentially started in a Rags to Riches format, but once he had a house, he decided to join the military rather than spend all that time just working his fingers to the bone and kind of slid more into a Legacy Challenge kind of format. Still, I don't really play it strict to the rules anyway. I kind of base it more on aspirations. Aiden wanted to be rich, so he went out and did everything he had to do to get there and being a Grand Marshall in the military career will really help with that. Plus Christie being a Dean of Academics and planting a money tree. Now that Christie is gone and Aiden is retired, Noah's turn as the 'head of house' is to follow his aspiration, which is mansion baron. So the house is bigger and better and will continue until his heir takes over. Since the heir, Kolohe, is still a child, there's no aspiration for him. I won't worry about that until he hits the teens. And I just play forward until I either get bored or run out of ways to use aspirations to dictate the generations. I'm sure this is still in the wheelhouse of someone's challenge, but there's so many to read through that I just say it's a 'generational free play.'

Well, it seems to be because now Vlad and Zayne chit chat when he stops by. Vlad does help with chores if I let him in, so that's something LOL. He's done the dishes, cleaned up some trash, and even caught him swimming in the Sulani waters. Seems that Sulani turns Vlad into a nice guy who doesn't want to drink your plasma! Ahh, the bantering of an old, married couple.
Over the next following weeks, Dino was consistent in showing his romantic side. He would spontaneously burst into flirty moods and enchant her with serenades and sweet words. Luise is a little embarrassed considering their age, but she's really flattered and loving the attention anyway.
With every passing day, Luise's royalties and Dino's paintings have made a sizable influx into their financial assets, and Sonnenbrise was rebuilt, again. It's just as well, since the former had a feeling the child in her body won't be her last just yet...

Nearing the end of her pregnancy, Luise was invited out to the Humor and Hijinks Festival in San Myshuno. She eventually agreed to go after taking Renata to daycare and dragged Dino along, a little kind of payback for dragging her around everywhere when they were younger, not that he minded. It was also a good opportunity for Dino to introduce himself to Luise's friends, since she already met some of the Bouquet Squad.
Unfortunately, they wouldn't enjoy the festival for very long.
"Uh dear..."
"Yes?"
"Don't panic...but I think my water broke."
"WHAT?!"
Cue panicking, and sighing from Luise's end.
"Yes, hello, Joanna? My water just broke. Yes, okay, I'll meet you there. Danke."
At least he actually came with her this time and not running away. The only problem is...there is no receptionist and the contractions have started to become more painful that she could barely stand.
"Dear, you remember Dr. Sullivan. She was at our wedding, and Renata's pediatrician."

Joanna was amused. "Very talkative, isn't he?"
Luise, not wanting to complicate or rehash the past, decided to forego a smart aleck response and just spoke bluntly. "It's his first live childbirth. He's very nervous, and to think, just awhile ago we were cracking jokes at the festival."
"That's all well and good, but I actually just gave birth to a child myself, so I'm only here today as an assistant."
"Wait, so who's going to be my obstetrician and midwife?"
"Well..."
It's a doctor named Eva. Now Luise couldn't be sure since she never really stayed long in Windenburg, but for the short honeymoon she had there, she learned that there was this club of four that was in charge of the local party scene, and one of them was named Eva Capricciosa. Although recently she went by "Miller" after marrying a man from San Myshuno.
Still...that maiden name was not a good sign. 'Another Italian? Seriously? I love the Italians but she doesn't look like a doctor; she looks like a party girl who's waaay past her prime! Oh my Watcher I am gonna die! I am gonna die and I'm gonna die being judgmental of other people because mother was a narcissist and apparently I inherited it since I can't even trust a medical professional. Is she actually a professional for that matter?!'
Dino, on the other hand, was more pleased that his wife's doctor was a compatriot.
The epidural eventually kicked in and calmed her down.
"Okay, so it looks like we won't need an emergency c-section, so congrats. We won't need to put you to sleep."
As for husband dearest, the panic was starting to return to him.
"Dear...dear? I...huh?"
The sound of the heart monitor flatlining resounded throughout the whole room.
"Oops..."
"Aaaah!"
"What're you doing? We're Italian! Have some pride. Now be one and stop panicking so your wife can give birth in peace and you can make more later."
"Relaaax. See? It's back in, and her heart rate is stabilizing."
"Uhn...w-what happened?"
"Oh boy, you really got your work cut out for you, ah? Basta! It's to be expected. When you marry an Italian man, especially one from Tuscany or the Campanian mountains, expect them to want to be spoiled like their mothers did for them. An Italian man will always marry a woman who can cook and is like their mother."
'A free roaming artist like Dino has a mother who's an overbearing narcissist that married into a cold and calculating militaristic family and uses her kids as pawns in a bid for the succession to ensure their status and hoard the family wealth? Somehow I doubt that.'
"Schatz?"
"S-si, Amore?"
"I love you very much, but please, shut up! I can't focus on pushing if you're panicking like that."
'What on earth will I even name this kid? There's a lot of famous heroes throughout history. Maybe after General Nick 'Havoc' Parker, or his grandson Commander Parker? What about after The Shepard? Now there was a hero right there. Wait, what if the child is a girl? Oh gosh, another one? I'm going to have to be the one to tell Renata about boys, training bras, and how to use a simpax pearl, but another one? Can I even take on that kind of stress?! Mother never taught me squat and I only had health class to rely on! Wait, wait, focus on names, focuuuuusssss...'
"Congratulations! It's a girl!"
'Oh, dangit! Please, please, Watcher, give me a son next time. I love Dino with all my heart, and someone should pass his name too, but mostly, I don't want to be the only one busy during puberty! Wait, the name! Uh...uh...'
"Lillian! Her name is Lillian, Lilly for short. After...after a hero's wife, who always loved him and stayed by his side for as long as she could. I want her to have the same blessed fate." 'Really? You named her after Lillian Parker? The wife of the hero of the Ascension Conflict? The guy who got the short end of the stick even though he was a hero? You couldn't think of anyone luckier? What blessed fate? You may as well give her away now and doom her to a short or lonely life like the original Lilly.'
"Oh what a relief! Welcome to the world, Lillian Keller..."
Eva was looking at Dino with a bit of a mocking smile. "There. Was that so hard? If your mama knew about this she would call the saints and cry on her son cracking."

Meanwhile, Dino had to carefully explain to his now eldest child about the surprise they brought home from the hospital, and hopefully dispel any budding feelings of jealousy and rivalry.
The writing was a bit sub-par, but it's the current best I could do with the one-line album style.

I haven't drawn any other sims yet but I want to. I'm just trying to figure out which one I would draw next.
I did that picture of Penny digitally because that's the medium I'm most comfortable with.
And no, I'm not going to an art school. I was planning on applying to become an art teacher but the entrance exams were overlapping with two other schools' exams (and those two I can apply to with just one test which is a lot easier and less risky). I just wanted to give myself better chances to get into school and by applying to two schools instead of one, I've already doubled my chances :'D
The entrance exams to become an art teacher would've taken 3 days (the first 2 days are for everyone and then they eliminate people and after the third day they eliminate the rest) and I don't feel like taking 3 days off from work for that... The chances of me getting in would've been so small because it's a pretty popular field. So, I'm currently trying to get into school to become an English teacher instead (and I'm probably gonna choose another language to study as well to make myself more employable).
I've never really wanted to do art for a living anyway because I'm afraid it's gonna suck all the inspiration out of me. I worry I'd end up disliking it because I would have to do it because it would be my source of income whereas now I'm only doing it because I enjoy doing it.

So, my legacy heir went to uni and on her first day, she went to the local bar where she met this guy who goes to the same classes as her.
They talked for a long time and had fun together. Well, he had one drink too many and decided to kiss her out of the blue.

On the next day, her fiancé (yikes!) asked her out for a date.

In other news, the Sims Health Organization is currently looking at the use of bear suits as protective gear.
In real world news, my granddaughter's stepfather's coworker tested positive, so she has to stay at her mom's house and they're all in real quarantine for two weeks because of the degree to which he was exposed. There's some chance she could have carried it to her dad's house (my stepson), where we were briefly last week, so all of us have a low level chance of exposure. So that's fun. And it's allergy season so my husband and I have scratchy throats and mild coughs anyway. So far it's been almost a week since we've been out of our house though, and no fevers or anything so hopefully everything is fine.
Anyway, more sim teenagers absolutely not practicing social distancing under the spoiler.
I got a weird glitch where Millie went invisible for a moment, so her food floated in the air as if there was a ghost.
She reappeared as soon as Max walked up though.
"Why do we want to go in some creepy abandoned tent?" "Get in here and I'll show you why."
The campsite has a swing. Not sure how that was helpful for scientific research.
But they look cute playing with it, whether it makes sense or not.
It was getting dark, so they went back to the Heckings' new house. Outside Millie asked Max to exchange promise rings. I think it looks like she's either going to lasso him with it or throw it for him to fetch. Pretty sure I know who's in charge in this relationship.
Since the menu option said "exchange promise rings" I thought she'd get one too, but she didn't.
Then they went inside to bed. Fortunately I don't have any mods that would bring on unintended consequences.
In the morning they got to be embarrassed by Brant in his hearty boxers.
After Max left Brant realized he'd never given Millie the woohoo talk. A little late and a lot embarrassing, Dad.
And just because he's not in any of the photos above, here's Brent helping Millie with her school project. He was very tan.
Millie's two fathers live in the same household, so we're gonna let this one go.

Like many of us these days, Brent has been working from home. But in his case that means being out at the beach a lot. At least he mostly works alone. I am amused by this odd pose while he was clearing a path to enter the cave.

And since I didn't play them until they moved here, their dog Rosie is still alive. She enjoys walks on the beach.
Rosie is currently in heat, and the only member of the house who didn't get any woohoo this rotation. That seems unfair.
That's all for now! I still need to age Millie up and then it's on to the next household. Max will have his birthday when I get to his family in the rotation. That's why I had them spend so much time together now, because they won't both be teens when I switch to his house.
However, the big news is - I'm going to have a grandkid! MCCC says it's a girl!
And she has a chance to be a mage too. The only thing that concerns me is that Victoria is going to be a single mom, but - if that's what she wants, I'll support her.
I didn't quite get to everyone tonight. I will try to finish up tomorrow!

I didn't know that Ioana wasn't aware that Vlad was her father. Did she grow up thinking her adoptive parents were her real parents?
I'm sure that hearing something like that would be emotionally overtaking. To find out you had a father you never knew, and then hear that you'd never get a chance to know him would be heartbreaking.
Probably other people caught on to what was happening with Morgyn faster than I did. Sometimes it takes me a minute to catch everything 😉

I agree that Thorne and Don will face some difficulties, especially because of what Thorne did to Don. But Thorne needs to totally forgive Don for what he did to Mary-Alice too. He hated the man who hurt her like that for so many years, before knowing who he was, that the hate is pretty deep.

I know that I constantly read that if you want a guaranteed job you should work in health care. This is certainly proof of that! There are not even enough health care providers right now, as far as I know.
Thanks for your praise of my daughter. She truly is amazing. I do think that a lot of her success comes from the personality she was born with. My boys are wonderful, but they do not have her zeal, or her outgoing personality. None of us do. The boys inherited my introverted personality. And I do think it's genetic, because I raised all of them the same, but she is totally her own person, lol!
She did apply for the position to be the coordinator, I'm not sure when she will hear if she got it. I'm not sure how many people were asked to apply. I helped her fill out the application though, and she certainly sounds perfect for the job, based on the questions they asked. 😊
That is just so amazing that your mom picked such a wonderful man for her second husband. It seems that she overcame every bit of her codependency. She left your father and made sure to find someone who would not ever be like him. Often it's a pattern, and you end up picking someone very similar again. I am so happy for her! It's funny that you mentioned the J that you had that was such a good father. Becka28 had J as a father in a 100 baby challenge and he came over all the time to help with his own child, even bathing him and feeding him. And then, when his child aged up and moved out he continued coming over to help with other children that she had! So, he can be a good parent. But she's had him be an awful absentee father too. I don't think I need more babies in that save anyway, lol. He and Raj can stay footloose and fancy free.
The funniest thing is that Raj has the player aspiration set when he shows up in the game. I changed it when J had that crying fit 😂
You got the "My name is Mary-Alice" part exactly right. The end of innocence, the end of the fantasy life she was living. Suzie certainly seemed to have more luck with boys than Mary-Alice ever did, but in reality Suzie was naive. So she was better off being Mary-Alice. I assume other people picked up on that too then. I know very very little about the canon of the pre-mades. I never played them in Sims 1 or 2 and didn't have 3. I always thought they were dumb looking, and their houses were awful 😅
Reading this thread got me interested enough in them to start the save I mentioned, where I use all of them, having them all have kids. After I got to know them, I put them back into my main saves. But none of the ones in Willow Creek or Brindleton Bay have their homes anymore. They were bulldozed long ago in the Ian and Lawrence save, and every plot of land is used. I have 11 played families just in that one Willow Creek 😄. So anyway, most likely I will never be sticking with canon in my stories, because I don't know it! Although so many people complain that 4 is so different from 1 and 2 that it really doesn't matter. And Maxis says it's a new universe, so I'm not going to worry too much about it, lol
But yeah, Don seems so damaged to me, and I figured I could give him a reason to be.
Lol, I did let Thorne play his guitar and sing once before I skilled him up, because I'd heard how awful he is. Lol, he sure is! But like I said, it's beautiful now, and he hasn't even made it to 9 yet. I can't imagine how good he is at 10.

I've barely played her, so I don't have much opinion on my own, but wow, I just saw her blatantly destroy another couple's rock hard marriage the day after she herself and her husband had a baby together in a story here. So, that did not impress me, I admit.
I mean, it takes two to tango, but geez girl, have some self respect.
And yeah, the Eliza Pancakes hate runs deep 😅 Again, I knew nothing about it, so when I loaded their house I just had them be loving and kind, they had a baby together and seem quite happy. Lol

Ahhh, ok. She was doing it for herself as a teen. The only teen I did it extensively with was Malcolm Landgraab. As he starts out with Evil and snob, he's difficult to fix. But I got all but one of the traits for him, so I know exactly what you mean about the sorts of things you can do to bring those levels up. He would come back from volunteering raging mad though, so I only tried twice. His empathy was quite difficult to achieve. Manners was the easiest. I'm glad volunteering worked for Sandra 😊

Ahhh, she has some traits that help with that! I'd love to have some of them! It's hard to make friends with 20 people at once when you've just been put into a save and you don't know anyone, lol. That's what my guy needs to do for his friend of the world aspiration.

Okay so you already have the next Generation in charge! Are you doing it where they stay in the home where they were born? You mentioned that the other kids have moved away.
I never do these kind of challenges, so I always wonder if people do them the same way, and most people keep the family in the same house and just keep making it nicer every generation. 😊

@DeafSimmer Astraea looks really cute in that first picture. At first I thought Astraea was influencing Cassiopeia but it turns out, Cassiopeia already had that little rebel spirit in her and all Astraea’s doing is lighting it aflame! Looks like they might be the perfect partners in crime.

Oh, the heir must remain on the original lot. It's less following the challenge to the letter and more just trying to add an additional depth to normal TS4 gameplay.
In general, the family started with Aiden basically fishing, beachcombing, and gardening to earn money. So essentially started in a Rags to Riches format, but once he had a house, he decided to join the military rather than spend all that time just working his fingers to the bone and kind of slid more into a Legacy Challenge kind of format. Still, I don't really play it strict to the rules anyway. I kind of base it more on aspirations. Aiden wanted to be rich, so he went out and did everything he had to do to get there and being a Grand Marshall in the military career will really help with that. Plus Christie being a Dean of Academics and planting a money tree. Now that Christie is gone and Aiden is retired, Noah's turn as the 'head of house' is to follow his aspiration, which is mansion baron. So the house is bigger and better and will continue until his heir takes over. Since the heir, Kolohe, is still a child, there's no aspiration for him. I won't worry about that until he hits the teens. And I just play forward until I either get bored or run out of ways to use aspirations to dictate the generations. I'm sure this is still in the wheelhouse of someone's challenge, but there's so many to read through that I just say it's a 'generational free play.'

Well, it seems to be because now Vlad and Zayne chit chat when he stops by. Vlad does help with chores if I let him in, so that's something LOL. He's done the dishes, cleaned up some trash, and even caught him swimming in the Sulani waters. Seems that Sulani turns Vlad into a nice guy who doesn't want to drink your plasma! More like an elder Caleb Vatore LOL

Fortunately, both Dino and Luise managed to play nice.

"Si, that's a special place for us. I want to relive all those memories."
'No, you mean you want to woohoo in a cramped camper until you have scratches on your back and I fall pregnant, again!'
"You won't be saying that much when you finally see how much my chest has been sagging and how I'm not as spry as I was when I was 25."
"Eh, I'll take my chances. We Italians know how to spice things up when we really want it."
"Should I take that as a compliment?"
"I'm still here every night, Tesoro. What do you think?"
Ahh, the bantering of an old, married couple.
Over the next following weeks, Dino was consistent in showing his romantic side. He would spontaneously burst into flirty moods and enchant her with serenades and sweet words. Luise is a little embarrassed considering their age, but she's really flattered and loving the attention anyway.
With every passing day, Luise's royalties and Dino's paintings have made a sizable influx into their financial assets, and Sonnenbrise was rebuilt, again. It's just as well, since the former had a feeling the child in her body won't be her last just yet...
"Shouldn't it be blue?"
"We'll paint it in spring. I kinda like a little variety now and then."
The whole family returning home after one of their early morning walks.
"Someday this table will be full."
"I am not having six kids. We could barely take care of Renata and keep her development on track."
"Not us, but this whole table will be full, maybe when we have grandkids?"
"Hopefully we live that long. I had Renata really late..."
Renata has a giant teddy bear, but she loves her small blue bear more.
Nearing the end of her pregnancy, Luise was invited out to the Humor and Hijinks Festival in San Myshuno. She eventually agreed to go after taking Renata to daycare and dragged Dino along, a little kind of payback for dragging her around everywhere when they were younger, not that he minded. It was also a good opportunity for Dino to introduce himself to Luise's friends, since she already met some of the Bouquet Squad.
Unfortunately, they wouldn't enjoy the festival for very long.
"Uh dear..."
"Yes?"
"Don't panic...but I think my water broke."
"WHAT?!"
Cue panicking, and sighing from Luise's end.
"Yes, hello, Joanna? My water just broke. Yes, okay, I'll meet you there. Danke."
At least he actually came with her this time and not running away. The only problem is...there is no receptionist and the contractions have started to become more painful that she could barely stand.
"Dear, you remember Dr. Sullivan. She was at our wedding, and Renata's pediatrician."
"Uh...hey?"
Joanna was amused. "Very talkative, isn't he?"
Luise, not wanting to complicate or rehash the past, decided to forego a smart aleck response and just spoke bluntly. "It's his first live childbirth. He's very nervous, and to think, just awhile ago we were cracking jokes at the festival."
"That's all well and good, but I actually just gave birth to a child myself, so I'm only here today as an assistant."
"Wait, so who's going to be my obstetrician and midwife?"
"Well..."
It's a doctor named Eva. Now Luise couldn't be sure since she never really stayed long in Windenburg, but for the short honeymoon she had there, she learned that there was this club of four that was in charge of the local party scene, and one of them was named Eva Capricciosa. Although recently she went by "Miller" after marrying a man from San Myshuno.
Still...that maiden name was not a good sign. 'Another Italian? Seriously? I love the Italians but she doesn't look like a doctor; she looks like a party girl who's waaay past her prime! Oh my Watcher I am gonna die! I am gonna die and I'm gonna die being judgmental of other people because mother was a narcissist and apparently I inherited it since I can't even trust a medical professional. Is she actually a professional for that matter?!'
Dino, on the other hand, was more pleased that his wife's doctor was a compatriot.
The epidural eventually kicked in and calmed her down.
"Okay, so it looks like we won't need an emergency c-section, so congrats. We won't need to put you to sleep."
As for husband dearest, the panic was starting to return to him.
"Dear...dear? I...huh?"
The sound of the heart monitor flatlining resounded throughout the whole room.
"Oops..."
"Aaaah!"
"What're you doing? We're Italian! Have some pride. Now be one and stop panicking so your wife can give birth in peace and you can make more later."
"Relaaax. See? It's back in, and her heart rate is stabilizing."
"Uhn...w-what happened?"
"Oh boy, you really got your work cut out for you, ah? Basta! It's to be expected. When you marry an Italian man, especially one from Tuscany or the Campanian mountains, expect them to want to be spoiled like their mothers did for them. An Italian man will always marry a woman who can cook and is like their mother."
'A free roaming artist like Dino has a mother who's an overbearing narcissist that married into a cold and calculating militaristic family and uses her kids as pawns in a bid for the succession to ensure their status and hoard the family wealth? Somehow I doubt that.'
"Schatz?"
"S-si, Amore?"
"I love you very much, but please, shut up! I can't focus on pushing if you're panicking like that."
'What on earth will I even name this kid? There's a lot of famous heroes throughout history. Maybe after General Nick 'Havoc' Parker, or his grandson Commander Parker? What about after The Shepard? Now there was a hero right there. Wait, what if the child is a girl? Oh gosh, another one? I'm going to have to be the one to tell Renata about boys, training bras, and how to use a simpax pearl, but another one? Can I even take on that kind of stress?! Mother never taught me squat and I only had health class to rely on! Wait, wait, focus on names, focuuuuusssss...'
"Congratulations! It's a girl!"
'Oh, dangit! Please, please, Watcher, give me a son next time. I love Dino with all my heart, and someone should pass his name too, but mostly, I don't want to be the only one busy during puberty! Wait, the name! Uh...uh...'
"Lillian! Her name is Lillian, Lilly for short. After...after a hero's wife, who always loved him and stayed by his side for as long as she could. I want her to have the same blessed fate." 'Really? You named her after Lillian Parker? The wife of the hero of the Ascension Conflict? The guy who got the short end of the stick even though he was a hero? You couldn't think of anyone luckier? What blessed fate? You may as well give her away now and doom her to a short or lonely life like the original Lilly.'
"Oh what a relief! Welcome to the world, Lillian Keller..."
Eva was looking at Dino with a bit of a mocking smile. "There. Was that so hard? If your mama knew about this she would call the saints and cry on her son cracking."

Meanwhile, Dino had to carefully explain to his now eldest child about the surprise they brought home from the hospital, and hopefully dispel any budding feelings of jealousy and rivalry.
The writing was a bit sub-par, but it's the current best I could do with the one-line album style.
