Yes, I will. The more gameplay the better!

    No.
We know literally nothing about this pack other than we can own them. And judging on all the other packs they released for this game it'll be fun for 5 minutes then I will get bored straight away. Also the musical chairs will be atrocious with this pack and would need to be fixed before I would buy it.

I'm going to buy it when it comes out like I do every pack. I always liked running a restaurant. Was one of the businesses I always favored in The Sims 2.

OMG, I just thought of something bad. lol What if it's like the doctor's career where the nurse stands around (waitress) and the other doctor (the chef) and you have to do all of the work in those tasks lists? I mean the other Sims could be there just for looks. lol

I had thought about that and I have commented about it more than twice in the forums. The tables themselves could also be single objects with the chairs to avoid musical chairs and not actually fix the issue.

I will buy and play. I'm already planning several restaurants including a medieval themed restaurant where the wait staff wear armor and a Star Wars themed restaurant where they wear Star Wars costumes.

This is a wonderful idea! Near where I live, we recently had a Medieval Manor restaurant close down. It might be fun to rebuild it in my game. Thanks so much for sharing your ideas. =)

I'm thinking about doing a pirate theme restaurant, too. Build it like an old pirate ship. How about a haunted restaurant. The servers could be ghosts. How cool would it be to be able to hire ghosts to wait tables at your haunted restaurant? Or a sad clown restaurant where servers are dressed as the sad clown and everyone leaves depressed.

Or, they could just be regular tables and chairs that are just that: tables and chairs. Plus, the two QA Simgurus @SimGuruEugi and @SimGuruArvin said they were looking into fixing the musical chairs bug, so they are trying to work on it.

I respect all the developers who work on this game, however, I don't put much stock into those statements made anymore. They been looking into a lot of bugs and stuff for nineteen months ago.

It's because just recently they took reports from @Scobre and began to prepare on how to actually fix this and see why it keeps happening.

To answer the original question: It depends. :p

I like the idea of restaurants, and I've liked the game packs so far. However, I have some ongoing frustrations with Sims 4, including communication/lack thereof with devs, lack of answers to what I feel are vital questions/updates about missing basegame content, etc. All of this makes me reluctant to spend any further money on Sims 4. Right now, I'm waiting to see what will be announced about the next expansion.

I want restaurants really bad, even though they really should have been in the base game. I think I'll just wait until it's on sale to get it. I just don't want to spend $20 for something as simple as restaurants.

So according to SVP there is a unofficial release date for the new pack on May 26. The details as follows...
The Sims™ 4 Dine Out – Own a restaurant and take your Sims out to eat. Create and manage a variety of restaurants, hire staff, and set the perfect menu to earn a profit and expand your business. Dine out with Sims to enjoy all-new experimental cuisine and spend quality time with friends and family.

Am I the only one that this does not appeal to? I'm so uninterested in having a restaurant, though I know it was a big ask for other players. I feel like it's something that should have been rolled into GTW with the whole aspect of shopping and buying food anyway. I will not be partaking in this pack (GP SP? I can never remember) as it won't add anything to my gameplay. I really only bought GTW for the ability to have doctors and cops in the game but usually when I play, the last time which was eons ago, I completely avoid going to work at all as it was so repetitive.

So, long story short, will you buy Dine Out?

Yes, and I have the perfect sim picked out to own the first restaurant.

I'll probably buy it eventually, as I do like the Idea of restaurants.
Sad they don't ship the retail bundles or origin gift cards to Canada, but if it looks good enough, I may try with one of those new-fangled prepaid cards.

Yeah I do want the game pack to have a good future for it. So hopefully musical chairs bugs can be fixed soon before the release or not long after. Nice to have the QA Gurus around to respond to it.

Restaurants are a feature I have actually requested so if its not like GTW half baked retail system and actually done right I will purchase it. I really hope Dine Out is done right and brings my favorite part of Sims 2 Night Life back in a fun enjoyable way to my game.. no chasing Sims around with a tablet.

Yes, of course. I haven't played The Sims in like two weeks because I've just aged my kids into teenagers and I'm on a small break while I get inspired again to create another storyline.

To Me they were just one more retail type play, which is already in the game, so I am not sure yet if I want to bother buying Dine Out, I will have to wait and see, cause My type of game play is for Gothic, Vamps and such.

I hope for those who will be buying this pack will be completely satisfied. I hope the Sims Studio team made the restaurant gamepack perfect and not like a put-together-gimmick, like always. I also hope for the base game to acquire the essentials that the game has been needing since the get.

I completely regret buying the packs, and wish I would've held off for a while. All that money... smh.

This is something I've always wanted - a restaurant pack. Right now you have to go up to the bar and queue for your food and everybody getting distracted. That's great for socialising but it sucks for dates. But maybe after Dine Out you just sit at a table, shout the waiter over, and get to talk while your food is cooked to perfection. Or maybe you get a bad meal and you need to complain to the management?

Now THAT is how you want to propose - in a fancy restaurant, not on your knees in a Discotheque.

    Big hopes, big hopes...

Still, looking at the Stuff bundle with it... MAN, does that suck! I bought the Stuff Packs as soon as they came out, and now that's like, £16 bucks wasted that I could have spent on... well, just about anything. Complete rip. I have bad feelings that these free Stuff packs will be making EA think they don't need to put so many new objects in DO.

Or maybe EA just realises that RG isn't very popular and everybody who''s actually going to buy it has already bought it, so they might as well give it away for free now.
Prepping a list of mods to add after Infants are placed into the game. Because real life isn't 'nice'.

I will definitely buy and play "Dine Out". The lack of restaurants has been one of the missing items from TS4 that I've truly been missing and will add a lot to my legacies and picture posts on my Simblr. I cannot wait! :)

I honestly believe that it will be really cool to be able to own a restaurant in game. Besides, it's a lot more like adding a 'date night', than improving upon GTW
