Another Query - This time a Venue Query

I created a wedding venue, but no matter what I do, my sims are unable to select to 'Throw Party At' the designated location. Is this a bug I'm going to have to deal with, or is it possible I have something on the lot I'm not allowed to. It's a community lot, so there are no cooking facilities. I've created a wedding venue before and it worked fine in Appaloosa Plains, but I cannot get my new venue to work as a party location. Sims congregate there, it's been a hot spot before, but I can't throw a party there. The minute I choose throw a party at, that venue is unavailable.

Any help appreciated!

Only certain lot types can qualify as community lot party locations regardless of the venue that is placed on them. You can find the entire list here, under the TS3 section of the page.

@igazor Thanks for that! I'll try to change the venue type to something like small park to allow me to try to throw a party there.

Thanks very much @igazor! I changed the venue from a hangout to a small park and was able to hold a sim wedding there.

You're welcome. That's the lot designation I use for my wedding chapels as well (not that I have so many). I also think it's nice that with this designation, even with so much to do in my worlds, a couple of inactive sims often show up and play chess or something outside even when there's no wedding scheduled for them to attend. I think of those sims as enjoying hanging out in what is usually a happy place. :)
