Randomise extent of chosen traits

I like designing sims and choosing their traits, but I also like the idea of them being a bit randomised. Say we choose to make them romantic, the extent of this could be randomised from quite romantic to exceptionally romantic. An untidy sim could vary from a bit messy to complete slob. Variation between each of the three chosen traits would I think make each sim distinct, and it would make even two sims with the same traits different. I suspect it would make matching them with good friends and partners more detailed too. I like the idea of every sim I make being different to any other, and how we'd only get to see what they're like from playing with them over time.

I really like this idea. I dislike that there is only one option and its to the extreme. Really any way they can add something to make the sims feel different from one another would be great. Whether is doing something like this, adding more traits, or implementing something new like likes or dislikes, turn ons/offs etc.

Yes, I think that's what I'd like to see, something that just makes them each distinct so that we get to explore their personalities more. I feel it would lend sims much more strongly to specific careers and activities too. You could get one who is exceptional at one or several very specific careers, for example, and you'd have to watch them and figure out what suits them to find it. As for traits, more would be great. I like the additions of new ones we've had. I did actually quite like how TS1 gave points that could be spent on various traits because it was very felxible - although that would get harder when there's so many possible traits as we have now.
