Frugal Family is very nice! Very nice exterior design of the home! The roofing looks great! It is nice that there are 4 bedrooms in the home. Nice roof covered front porch. The layout of the interior of the home looks very nice! Nice side wall chess area for sims to have fun playing chees on the table. The birds pictures are a nice touch on the wall. Nice corner sofa and armchair sitting nook for sims to enjoy relaxing there watching tv with sunshine coming in through the windows. The kitchen nook is very nice. The dishrack, cookbooks, wall cutlery and paper towel are great kitchen touches there. The layout of the bedrooms in the upper level looks great! Nice back patio for sims to enjoy cooking meals on the BBQ and eating the food at the corner table in the sunshine. They will enjoy doing woodcrafting on the woodwork table.
It is a very nice family home
Each of the three homes in the set that you created for this challenge are very nice! @Jesf8312 Very nice exterior designs of them! They are great homes for sim families to move into and enjoy living in. I have posted about them on your showcase thread.
Inspired by this thread, I've decided to start the Sciurian Affordable Homes Series to give myself a challenge of building houses for under §50K. The first is Blue & White Starter which retails for under §20K including the lot. "Modest but lovely…it is the perfect house for a couple, an artist, a writer or fisherman."
It is great that you have started an Affordable Home Series set of homes StSciurian Blue and white starter is very nice! I have posted about your home on your showcase thread.
My second house in the Sciurian Affordable Homes Series is called Hérouville. The house itself retails for under §25K and has two bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, living and dining rooms, and kitchen, and includes an easel and a small pool. It can accommodate up to 4 Sims.
It's been a while since I visited this thread, so many cute homes! I'm really impressed with how nicely you've all decorated on a tight budget. I love building smaller homes, but keeping them inexpensive is a challenge for me as I like to use all the high value objects. Here is my most recent attempt - 3 bedrooms, 1 bath, up to 6 sims can live here. It's sparsely decorated to keep it inexpensive. It's strength is that it's only $30,365 including the lot if you place it on a 20x15, which is what I designed it for, using Comfy Cubby in Newcrest.
Compact Cubby is very nice! @SunnyKeg Very nice exterior design of the home! The open shutter yellow flower box windows look pretty! The flowers look very nice along the edges of the front porch. The front porch is very nice! Very nice furnishing of the interior of the home. The coat stand and shoes rack are homely touches. Very nice kitchen and dining area. The white cabinets look nice how they are placed there to create the fridge nook. Sims will enjoy listening to radio music whilst eating their meal at the dining table. The study desk nook is great! Sims will enjoy sitting at the desk table using the computer with sunlight coming in through the side windows. The fish bowl is a nice touch on the desk table. Nice windows sofa and chairs sitting area for sims to enjoy resting there watching tv and reading a book whilst looking out through the windows at the outside views.
The home is very nice
to celebrate 1000 downloads, I took a break from my legacy to take a whack at this one since I did the starter and family starter challenge at 500..
I'm not entirely happy with it, since the house construction went over what I intended, and killed the remaining budget for furnishing and decor.
Originally built on a 30x20 to have a realistic restriction on the 50k budget, but I kept it within size for a 20x20. Built for a family of five-six. One room can be re-purposed for another kid. Kept it neutral as well, since I don't know what sim will occupy what space.
Liked the idea of a private basement for the parents with their own bath and study though.

Congratulations on 1000 downloads! @Audio_5urf The home is very nice! Very nice exterior of the home! The roof covered front porch looks nice. Sims will enjoy sitting on the seat there in the outdoors air. The hedging looks nice on the edges of the porch. The sunken playground is great! Child sims will have fun playing on the monkey bars. Nice outdoors dining patio for sims to enjoy cooking on the BBQ and eating meals at the umbrella covered table in the outdoors air. The layout of the interior looks very nice. It is great that there is a basement level in the build.
It is a very nice home
@rosemow
thank you, did find a couple things to edit once I uploaded it.. always tends to be when I notice the slightest errors.
the interior layout I originally had in mind got scrapped, because I felt I've over-used it.. and the rest was improvised as I went along. I did like the two-part kitchen though. It had the right level of funkiness.
The basement was actually supposed to be bigger. The private study was originally going to be connected to the parents bedroom, and the room that is now the private study was supposed to be another bedroom. plum budgeting issues.
The backyard area was also going to be in the back, but to give the lot flexibility options for a 20x20.. I counted tiles and opted to place it on the side to give simmers the option of a 30x20 or 20x20.
The reason why the patio seat is faced towards the house is so sims can watch their family members play a nice game of chess.

The two four bedroom homes in your Tumbleweed Road neighbourhood of homes are very nice! @MDianaSanders Very nice exteriors of them and layout of the interior of them both. The dome type windows in 165 Tumbleweed look nice. The lavender looks nice along the edges of the front of the home. Very nice colours of the walls in each of the interior rooms. Nice sofa seats sitting area for sims to enjoy resting there watching tv and reading a book, with sunlight coming in through the window. The cactus looks great in the corner. It looks great that the dining table is angled . The teddies look cute in the kids bedrooms! Nice outdoors dining and play area. Kids will have fun playing on the monkey bars. Sim will enjoy sitting outdoors as a family at the picnic table eating meals they have cooked on the grill. The furnishing of 167 Tumblweed is very nice too! Nice computer, art and games area. Sims will enjoy sitting at the desk table using the computer or reading a book. They will have fun playing chess or enjoy doing painting on the easel. Very nice corner nook sofa seat sitting area. Sims will enjoy relaxing watching tv there. Very nice colours of the walls in each of the bedrooms in this home as well. The outdoors dining and play area is very nice in this build also. Sims will enjoy having a drink from the bar with their meal
The homes are very nice
