Started this challenge today and it's been more difficult than it sounded but going to keep at it 😁 I'm trying to improve my building skills so this is alot of fun 😄

Budget Maker Family Home is a very lovely family home! @SheriGR Very nice exterior design, roofing, pretty flowerbox windows and the garden beds and trees are lovely! Very nice pool and outdoors living and dining area! Sims will enjoy cooking meals on the grill and eating them outdoors in the air at the picnic table. They will have fun playing in the sand pit.The interior layout and furnishings are very nice! Very nice warm brown and blue interior colour scheme. Very nice fireplace sitting area for Sims to relax on the chairs and watch tv near the fire. The dining room is a nice light filled room to enjoy sunshine coming in through the windows whilst eating the meal. Very nice design of the kitchen nook! The white wall tiling is nice and the stools counter is very nice for Sims to enjoy sitting on the stools eating a meal. The swans item in the bedroom is lovely!

@rosemow Thank you for your lovely comments and encouragement! I found out that (duh) the sandbox will not work in base game - you have to have Island Living to make the sand interactive. Just finished with the final part (my slideshow of the build) and updated my post for it and a new link... to my revised version that is truly Base Game... as I actually disabled all packs this time and added different decorative items (I had the sandbox and some decorative debug items that were not base game). Then I had to re-do the slideshow and uploads. Wow. I am fried, but at least it's correct for a base game download now.
I don't normally work with such bright colours, especially on the exterior, but every so often it's a nice change. This house is partially inspired by some of the stucco-walled houses I've seen in Oakland, California and the way their porches were sort of built into the house itself rather than tacked on outside. Those houses were pretty much all in the Spanish Mission style, though I guess this one isn't really, what with the steep roofs and all. I'm also rather pleased with how it showcases the stained glass window, which was actually a bit of a last-minute decision.
The back yard is done up with Jungle Adventure greenery, because one of the things that struck me about those California homes was how lush their gardens could get. (I live significantly further north, and the green spaces around houses tend to be a lot more boring.)
Banana Creme is a lovely family home! @Xinqun Very nice exterior design, pretty yellow colour and great built in porch! Very nice backyard area for Sims to enjoy painting on the easel and have fun playing chess. Very lovely layout and furnishing of the interior! The bedroom colors and floor rugs are very nice. Very nice open plan layout of the living areas

2 Get Famous Bungalows are lovely bungalow homes! @luckyheather Very nice exterior designs of them that reflect debug homes! The pink and blue exterior and interior colors are pretty! The roofing is great! Very nice street with cars. The garden beds are lovely and pretty flowerbox windows.Sims will enjoy swimming in the pool or relaxing poolside on the loungers listening to music. The water fountain is pretty! Very nice raised pergola patio for sims to cook meals on the bbq to enjoy eating outdoors. Great kids outdoors play areas with cute toy animals! Very lovely interior furnishing of both of the homes ! The open plan layout is very nice. The bunkbeds are great!

Hello @rosemow thank you for your lengthy and enjoyable review of the Get Famous Bungalows. It was nice to try something different and finding some use for the debug buildings that we have so many of now. I might try use some others for inspiration again I was trying to keep it under $50,000 but I didnt have enough money to add art to the walls im sad to say. Thanks again for your kind words.
Affordable Family Manor is a very lovely family home! @luckyheather Very great exterior design,very nice roofing and pretty water fountain features. Very nice fishing pond area. The flowers, trees, plants through the outdoors areas are very nice! The glass roof pergola is lovely! Sims will enjoy sitting there watching tv. The interior furnishings and layout are lovely. Very nice calm colors and the design of each bedroom is very nice

Base Game 100 Baby House is a lovely family starter home! @luckyheather It is a great home for the challenge! Very nice exterior design, great pond,and the landscaping with hedging, plants, trees and pretty flowers is very nice. The interior furnishings and layout are lovely! The blue colour is very nice. Each of the bedrooms are great and cute soft toy bunnies! Very nice reading nook with cute chair. The tv watching sitting area is very nice. The blue,pink and purple colours in the bedrooms are pretty
Thanks very much @rosemow for saying my 100 Baby Starter home is lovely and great for the challenge as I have never done this challenge or built a house for it before. I gather by what I have read that you can start with any house so sims can have money, but I know some simmers like to have a starter home first. Im glad you like the colours inside as I did them and thought is it too bright but you and others said its nice so that was a relief I did do the outside blue but I have a thing for blue I had to resist Lol so I did grey but I preferred the blue Thanks again I enjoyed your comments.
Glad to see more being add to this thread - I did go back and downloaded and follwed more simmers. I can't build and really need some larger but affordable housing for some reason (neighbourhood stories) my npc keep having babies and or adopting. Those poor npc in one bedroom one bath house with 4 - 5 kids lol
Hi @verlainem I am doing another affordable home right now and it has 3 bedrooms for a toddler (could fit 2) with baby crib, 2 kids in bunks plus parents room. It should be here tomorrow Its Base game too by the way.
