Buying Worlds with Simpoints

Hi there!

Apologies if this is an exhausted topic but I couldn't find anything when I searched the forums. I am looking to get Dragon Valley, Roaring Heights and Monte Vista and have been farming points through ads on the store site. Unfortunately, as many may know, when you go to buy those items you are asked to purchase a bundle with 'real world' currency. I have a few thousand sim points and plan on getting more, therefore I do not wish to spend £15/30 ($20/40) of my own money to get these worlds. Is there a solution at all?

Thank you for your help,
Happy Simming!

    Hi Lizzie,

sadly there is no way to avoid paying 'real money' for these worlds :(

I think you have two options available to you (or possibly three :sunglasses: )
    1. Look for them cheap on a retail site. It's possible that the Origin store will have them at 50%+ discounts in another sale (they have in the past but don't seem so keen on TS3 sales these days) or try to find them on Amazon or the like where they can often be found cheap(er). Unfortunately, even you already had the Base game from Steam I don't think the Steam store sells the worlds.
    2. I believe it is still possible for someone else to buy the world and gift you the code (which is basically all you are buying anyway) so keep a look out for anyone on the Gift forum who might be offering them
    3. Or ... if you have someone who really loves you and understand your need to fulfill your Sims desire to travel they might buy it for you :)

@ajaxpost thank you! It's such a shame they made those three worlds the ones we have to buy :/ Maybe I'll add them to my real-life birthday wishlist haha :p
