    @ts1depot Thank you, thank you, thank you.

    @lovlyb No problem! :)

    @elphieluvr Thanks so much. Hopefully, Sim Acres will live up to your expectations! Although I'm fond of the entire world, I have a sneaking suspicion that the art deco district will turn out to be a very pleasant surprise. B)

    @ts1depot Just wanted to say I am currently enjoying Riverside TREMENDOUSLY! And I am very much looking forward to Sim Acres! I love the way you incorporate all styles of living -- country, city, beach, etc. It really makes me feel like I'm getting the most out of my game.
    I know you're in the populating stages of Sim Acres, so please forgive me if I am too late, but one thing I noticed about Riverside is the beach areas tend to abruptly drop off into the water instead of a gradual, steady slope which causes some routing issues. Is this something you might be able to tweak in Sim Acres? It's not a huge problem or anything, I still love playing the world regardless, but maybe it is something that could give it a slightly more realistic feel?

    In either case, can't wait for the release of Sim Acres! :)

    @Natcki17 : Thanks for your kind comments regarding Riverside. I'm glad you are getting the most out of it. That's what I had hoped to achieve with that world, to have a large city where every area caters to a different life (urban, country, suburban) so as you play it, you don't feel as if you're always stuck in the country or in the city or wherever. If you get bored with the country, you can switch families and play in the city or in the suburbs or entertainment district and vice versa.

    Regarding Sim Acres, it's never too late to tweak anything in a world. Even after populating, you can tweak, so I can still fix the drop off issue at this stage. No biggie. :)

    Hello, everyone. Just posting a few screenshots just to let people know that I'm still working on Sim Acres. Right now, I'm doing lots of testing with the world populated:

    Well, everyone, it looks like Sim Acres is very close to being uploaded. I just have to do one more test run. Once everything's in working order, it will be good to go.

    In the meantime, I have uploaded a special lot called "Chasen's-Casino." This is an alternative casino version of a venue that is available in Sim Acres, but for players who have Lucky Palms installed. Players will also need Late Night and Showtime. It has maybe 3 statues from World Adventures so if you don't have WA, I wouldn't worry about it.

    If you don't have Lucky Palms, just wait a bit for Sim Acres to be released and you will get a version of Chasen's where the slot machines and tables are substituted with arcade games. Otherwise, feel free to download Chasen's - Casino in preparation for Sim Acres or just as a lot to add to your other towns:

    This is a beautifully thought out and executed world. I'll never leave! I do have a question about lot size. I need a 64x64 for my Mansion/ranch but the two that size are 'no visitors'. Do major spawn or event happen there or can they be changed to residential?
  • ts1depotts1depot Posts: 1,438 Member
    @Scarlett2k : Yes, you can change those lots to residential. The lots that are marked "no visitors" are just for show (decorative).

    @Natcki17 If you're still there, I put up a new version of Riverside where the shorelines are sculpted more naturally. It's located here: http://www.thesimsdepot.com/sims-3/downloads/worlds/riverside/
