    The Optimism Lottery! - Closed :)

    Hi all! I hope that you are all having a super day, filled with sunshine, smiles, and simming :blush:

    Awhile back, I held an Optimism Lottery, where the premise was to post fun and uplifting things, and I felt like it was time to do another one! I love how wonderful this community is, and so often it's been a source of great comfort to me when times are hard. I hope that for any of you who are doing it tough, things improve for you, and that you might feel brighter looking at some of the things in this thread.

    This will be a lottery where people post pretty much anything as long as it's positive; pretty much anything goes! Inspiration stories/quotes, funny/adorable pictures, terrible wonderful puns/jokes, fun stuff that's happening in your games, etc. If it makes you happy and you want to share it, please share it :)

    Deadline for Entries: 27th March 2016, 7pm EST time

    Anyone who contributes something positive to the thread before the above deadline date will be entered into the lottery, whether it's a pic, a poem, a story, a joke, anything! :) Everyone will get ONE nomination into the lottery, but you are of course free to post new things if there is more you want to share :)

    No nominations for this because winners will be able to gift however they choose :)

    Winners will be randomly decided through use of https://www.random.org/lists/ The list of entrants from the entrants list will be put into the list and randomised, and the first 5 in the list will win simpoints (see below for details of winnings)

    After winners are announced, winners will have 3 days to claim their winnings. If any winners don't post within those 3 days, a reroll will be done to determine another winner in their place.

    Please be kind to one another and follow the rules of the forum :)

    There is a total prizepool of 4000 simpoints and there will be 5 winners.

    1st Place: 1000 simpoints (to be gifted via wishlist)
    2nd Place: 900 simpoints (to be gifted via wishlist)
    3rd Place: 800 simpoints (to be gifted via wishlist)
    4th Place: 700 simpoints (to be gifted via wishlist)
    5th Place: 600 simpoints (to be gifted via wishlist)

    The positive things happening here in The Optimism Lottery continue the ripple effect because good stuff IS being shared among yourselves and others… bringing smiles to faces and spreading joy & laughter as SimFriends peek at the posts.

    Each participant has made our Community a brighter and more fun place to be! Therefore, each deserves a little something that will hopefully continue to spread smiles.

    After the winners have been announced and claimed their prizes, those who didn’t place will each be given a goodie bag as our way of saying thank you. Thank you for caring about sharing and spreading the optimism around!

    Each goodie bag contains 150 simpoints (to be gifted via wishlist) and is being sponsored by ADWilson (thank you, Addy <3 ).

    Those receiving goodie bags will need to post what they’d like to do with their simpoints as well as provide the Sims 3 username so that the correct person gets gifted.

    DEADLINE FOR SPENDING WINNINGS NOTICE!

    Hi all! This is the final notice for those of you who still have available winnings/goodie bag points to spend.

    You have until April 10th to collect/spend your winnings; anyone who does not post in this thread by April 10th with details as to how they wish to spend their points (including wishlist link(s)) will forfeit their points, so please make sure to check in! :) Thanks again to everyone who participated!
