Weird Lag / Stuttering while panning camera

On my new rig in full screen everything is smooth as butter on ultra except it stutters but putting it in windowed mode fixes the stuttering and then that creates a new problem with the AA of the game where the edges are all jagged no matter what I do, Does any one know a way to fix this ?

Have you added the game to nvidia control panel and enabled vsync on adaptive or on option?

Does it stutter more when you pan the camera when fully zoomed out? If so then you're not the only one with this issue. My GTX 970 does the same thing.

I get the stutter while panning or rotating as well, even not while zoomed out. Not too sure if it's just my computer tho but mine is a 960m.

Enable both V-Sync in the Sims 4 option and the NVidia control panel - there shouldn't be any FPS drops. o:)

I've tried those together. Still the same. It's weird cuz sometimes rotating is smooth but when you just have the camera stay still and suddenly start rotating, it will stutter. Oh and it doesn't happen in build/buy mode. So I guess it's just the game and not my computer then. :P

You will find there will probably be a fps drop at the exact same time it stutters.

Hmm thats odd.. Most people encounter a drop with the stutter.
I have given up fixing the sims games.. not worth my time.

Have you tried playing the game without fraps on and see if the stuttering continues? Also, try to use the in game fps counter. Open the cheat box (Shift + Ctrl+ C) and type fps on. You will see an fps counter at the bottom left. See if there is a drop when your camera stutters.

Okay but without fraps, did you use the in-game fps counter to see if there is a drop when you rotate? There should be. Usually my game is about 50-60fps and when I rotate, it will go to about 40 and then quickly back up again. I suggest you try rotating slower. I tend to rotate using my mouse and it's a very quick movement which might cause the stutter. Rotating using "<" and ">" or "ctrl + A/D" helps as the rotation is relatively slower.

Yes as you have already said.
We were talking about keyboard and mouse stutter.
There is no fix for the stutter.
And just so you know.. with most people it is fps related.

So, there's a stutter in your game but the fps is still at 60? Have you tried unchecking "share user data" and "online features" in game options? Some players have 'freezing issues' and unticking these solve their issue. Maybe yours is that too.
