Nooooooooooope. I do NOT miss laundry in the sims. Please don't.
It is optional. When you buy a Washing Machine in The Sims 3, your sims automatically create dirty clothes when switching between outfits. If you didn't buy a Washing Machine, then dirty clothes will never spawn.
I feel like anything laundry related should just be in a patch. It's really not worth wasting space in any kind of pack. There's so much more better stuff they could invest their time in.
LMAO. Wut? I have never heard anything like this. It would be nice to have the option to do laundry again and if they brought back the washing machine and dryer, but I think it is way way too small of a thing to have an entire stuff pack made out of it. That would be like having a dishwashing or taking out the trash stuff pack.
Yes I'd like some more frequent house work for my stay at home mums to focus on. I like the added reality laundry brings to the game, especially since Sims automatically make thier beds now. A stuff pack would be perfect because it's small enough to accomodate this theme and unlike a patch keeps it optional for players who'd prefer not to have it in thier game.
A stuff pack could include -
Washing machine and dryer in several style and colour options
Iron and ironing boards
New wall and floor textures
New sinks (especially a larger sized one that could be used for bathing toddlers in), cabinets and counters
New clothes hampers (when we get toddlers they could hide in them)
Clotheslines (I'd like the spinning ones and an interaction for kids to hang, climb and spin on them, used to get into trouble for doing this so much as a kid!)
New decor items - soap bottles and cartons, bleach bottles, shoe polish, buckets, peg containters, more folded clothing piles, more towels, more styles of toilet roll holders, more bath mats, clothing racks and hangers, more plants and flower options, storage boxes and baskets.
More shelving options especially built in looking ones
I was really quite disappointed that they didn't have the laundry stuff in the Sims 4 when it came out. I really liked it because it made everything seem so much more real. I wish they would bring it back as an update and also cars and garages
i would love to see the option to do laundry return in the sims4 would make sims homes more complete and the towns more complete with the addition of a laundromat and i am sure @catloverplayer would like to add a laundromat in his game as well

I'd like laundry items. Which is really weird because I was 'meh' about them when we first got them in TS3. Then a little bit later I suddenly really liked them.
I'm really keen on the idea of them being linked to bills and eco-friendliness. So you'd have higher bills if you use a cheap washer and dryer, but a better one would have less impact on bills. Or you could choose to shove it all in your inventory and take it down to the Vintage laundrette in the hope that this might happen:
Then I'd like airers and washing lines, so you could use those instead of a dryer. I like that sense of realism and daily-life clutter. Maybe there could also be garden sprinklers which could potentially ruin your washing. XD
Then there could be other objects that would reduce bills, like a water-butt, solar panels, and wind turbine? A compost heap too for food waste, which provides fertiliser.
I like having low-income type sims, every-day sims, not just rich celebrity types. And I like this gameplay of doing daily chores and trying to save money. I'd definitely buy a Vintage themed laundry and kitchen pack! Maybe they could throw in the canning station for that extra make-do feel. Lots of vintage advertising posters. Retro clothing. Maybe they could do a game pack and have the mechanics car (I know I mention this every 5 minutes), the juicer, and the sewing machine too? There could be a really cute little town with a smoothie/icecream bar, laundrette and garage. They could even have a grocery store!
If they got super carried away (like I do) they could even have a Vegas type feel to the town and add casino items like slot machines and poker tables too. So the pack could have a day-to-night feel. It could cater to different stages of life, like the teens who go to the smoothie bar, the young adults who go to the casinos and dance halls, and the families who have to do the endless piles of washing. XD The grannies who natter down the laundrette.
I really want laundry back, as well as other household chores, but I don't think a pack entirely dedicated to it would be such a good idea. Personally I wouldn't mind it that much but I'm not sure how well it would sell since there's a lot of people who don't like chores in their games. It should be something included in an EP and be optional like TS3 (if you don't buy a washing machine, you don't get dirty clothes). I think I remember reading something about laundromats on EA's survey for that town EP.

Oh yes! Good point! I agree with the people who said it could get annoying, and in TS3 I made use of this feature. The families that I wanted to give this day-to-day style of gameplay too had the washing baskets and things. But my richer celebrity types wouldn't have to worry about washing, so I'd not give them the items to trigger it. I think this is a really good way of making it optional.
